The Dickens Opera House, a venue located in Longmont, Colorado, harbors a rich history and legacy from its beginnings in 1881. William Henry Dickens, who originally built the opera house, obtained the land through his father who was given the land by Ulysses S. Grant. Not only does this land have ties to President Grant, but also to the author Charles Dickens, who was related to William Henry Dickens. While it was renovated a few years ago, the historic roots of this landmark were carefully preserved so that its history could continue to be told and celebrated. Couples now can plan their engagement party, rehearsal dinner, and ceremony is this historic site, weaving their own unique tale within its walls.

Black Canyon Inn has 2 beautiful event spaces! The Boulders venue can accommodate up to 200 guests and aesthetically is a modern event space with natural rock and industrial chandelier lighting. The ceremony and reception take place within the two-story building and there are large accordion opening windows for mountain views throughout your ceremony and reception. The Homestead & Wedding Pavilion Venue can accommodate up to 100 guests and has an outdoor covered Pavilion with mountain views as the ceremony space and a historic rustic cabin for the reception space.

We have a full commercial kitchen with many amenities that are often used for rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, and after-wedding brunch. In the summer and fall, our patio can be used for additional space to fulfill your wedding vision. If you are looking for an outdoor venue for a summer wedding or reception, the Lake Estes Marina Pavilion is a fun option. With a beautiful view of the lake and Long's Peak, you can have your ceremony at the Pavilion, rent a boat to go out on the lake for photos, and come back to the Pavilion to celebrate!
