A Virginia native, I’ve been surrounded by nature my entire life, but never more so than when I spent summers on my Grandmother’s 300-acre farm in West Virginia. She raised me to appreciate nature’s beauty and explore what I could create myself. My Grandmother was a powerful woman, raising two babies after having been recently widowed, while also pioneering the farm and putting herself through law school. It is after her that I named my business Mountain Mama Florals. With every event and every client, I strive to provide the level of attention, appreciation, and creativity that she taught me to value.

Owner Diana Skenderovic, has always loved flowers. As a little girl, she enjoyed every bloom in her mother’s garden. As the Director for Special Events and Weddings, for 12 years she was part of the design team and truly loved her job. My passion for floral design began over twenty years ago in a greenhouse in a small Michigan town, traveled through the mountains of Colorado and Arizona, to the beaches of Southern California, settling in Washington, DC.
