We cannot recommend Sarah of Petal and Pine highly enough! Planning our Maine wedding from Colorado meant booking our venue and all vendors sight unseen, which naturally came with some anxiety. Sarah absolutely exceeded our expectations and went far beyond typical day-of coordination. Our venue was unfamiliar to her, so she took the initiative to stay there overnight with her husband about a month before our wedding - on her own time and dime - to fully understand the space and logistics. She made the trip from Portland (about an hour away) to meet with us at the venue, which was invaluable for our peace of mind. She also coordinated our rehearsal the day before, ensuring everyone knew exactly what to expect. She even allowed us to ship items to her home for storage prior to the wedding weekend and met us a few days before to ensure we picked everything up. On the wedding day itself, Sarah’s calming presence was exactly what we needed. While we were worried about all the moving parts and vendor coordination, she executed everything flawlessly. Her organizational skills were exceptional - she shared detailed schedules with all our vendors in advance and managed every detail with grace and confidence. Sarah made what could have been a stressful experience feel effortless. We would absolutely use her services again and recommend her to anyone planning a wedding in Maine, especially those coordinating from out of state!

Jenna Cavanaugh Photography
Rating: 5.0 (23 reviews)
Portland, ME
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

Natural, documentary, photojournalistic. Real, raw, candid. We’re not going for any stiff prom poses here. I like to capture the day as it is and to document it as it unfolds. I never want to force anything, but I step in and direct where needed. Being in front of the camera isn’t my favorite thing either. I will be here to guide you and prompt you the whole way, I promise.

Jenna was the perfect choice for our wedding photography. From our first interaction, Jenna was professional, responsive, and thoughtful in her communication. Her talented artistic eye and down to earth approach shone through in the comprehensive set of photos she captured that truly reflected the vibe of our wedding and felt authentic to our relationship. Jenna took the time to get to know us as a couple and learn what was most important to capture about the day. She provided just the right amount of direction to ensure the photos came out natural and relaxed, rather than overly posed. We are thrilled with the beautiful memories Jenna helped us preserve from our special day.

With their decades of combined performing and gigging experience, your event is in the right hands. Specializing in Modern Pop, '90's Alternative, Indie-Rock, Pop-Punk and Country, the band covers a wide selection of just the that songs you and your guests want to hear. When it comes to live music, live sound and a reception that will be a party to remember, they are the only call you're going to have to make.

Awarded Best of Zola
STOP, and do not look ANY further!!! INCREDIBLE! My husband and I were big on wanting an incredible band to lead our guests through an unforgettable evening. I spent endless days searching and searching for a band. So many of wedding bands, sound just like that, a wedding band. But Champagne Casanova is not your typical “wedding band.” They are just a straight up talented group of incredible musicians. We hired them to do music through our ceremony, perform at cocktail hour, and perform for our reception. They surpassed any expectations I may have had for our wedding. So many of our guests asked me how I found them, and were so floored by their performance that they wanted their business card. Daniel, Crystal and the crew were absolutely exceptional and I truly believe that if you don’t hire them for your wedding, you are doing yourselves and your guests a disservice. Daniel communicated with me through email and was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive through the entire process. I truly cannot say enough nice things about these guys!!!

Bethany and Dan Photography
Rating: 5.0 (12 reviews)
Portland, ME
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,600

Our first kiss was on the beach, under a star-filled sky, on my favorite island, only home to shells, bioluminescent creatures, and wild horses. Soon after, as two very young humans (21 and 23), we were married. As newlyweds we set off on an adventure, kayaking from Maine to Key West. On that trip, we realized how much we valued spending all our time together and being in charge of our schedule. This business is how we live out that dream.

Bethany and Dan Photography were the perfect photographers for our wedding day. From our first interaction, their communication was clear, consistent, and friendly, putting us at ease immediately. The quality of their work was truly stunning - they captured the most interesting and intimate moments throughout the day in a way that felt like they were part of the family. Bethany and Dan made us and all of our guests feel so comfortable, allowing us to feel in control of our special day. We cannot recommend Bethany and Dan Photography more highly - they were an absolute pleasure to work with and the photos they delivered are ones we will cherish forever.

It's hard to put into words how talented and wonderful Tess was to work with. When we first connected, I was immediately drawn to her vision, how collaborative it felt she was, and how she was willing to work with me on planning a less traditional wedding weekend. Aside from some very general direction, I really gave her creative freedom to do what she thought would be best, and then her first proposal exceeded anything I could've imagined so it was a no brainer to work with her. The year of working together was just as great as that first interaction—she is extremely organized and detailed, takes initiative to handle things that were able to be taken off of my plate, and is just clearly so passionate about what she does, and that is reflected in her work. During the wedding weekend, she and her team took on tasks that were outside of what they should've been handling, but did what they thought needed to be done to make my life easier and to make the vision come to life. I was so grateful to have her around for the weekend. But above all of that, the flowers were absolutely incredible. I can't tell you the number of people—both who were at the wedding and who weren't even there—that approached me or reached out to me to tell me they were the most gorgeous flowers that they had ever seen. There wasn't a single person who wasn't blown away by them, my husband and I included!! Long story short.. work with Tess. You won't be disappointed.

Savage Wedding Co.
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
Portland, ME
  • Photographer
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $5,000

Savage Wedding Co. is for couples who want their wedding to feel like themselves — not a performance, not a production, and not something they have to manage all day. I work with a balance of structure and flexibility: enough direction to keep things moving, and enough space for moments to unfold without forcing them. I don’t chase perfection or try to smooth out every edge. Some moments are quiet. Some are awkward. Some don’t fit neatly into a highlight reel — and that’s usually where the honest stuff lives. I don’t rush past those moments or reshape them to look like something else. I let things be.

If we could give Magnus 1,000 stars, we would! He was an amazing addition to our wedding day as our photographer and DJ! He captured the most special of moments for us to cherish forever, and we’ve received countless compliments on his work and how awesome and personable he was the day of. Magnus had us all tearing up the dance floor with his great DJing. We had a DIY backyard wedding, and he went above and beyond in respectfully suggesting ways to go about certain aspects of our day that made things flow effortlessly. Not only did we love having Magnus there for our big day, but our friends and family did too!

Savage Wedding Co. is for couples who don’t want a wedding rooted in tradition or a DJ who plays it safe. If you live somewhere between EDM, metal, or punk and want energy that actually builds through the night, this will make sense to you. You don’t need to edit yourself to fit a predetermined idea of how a wedding is supposed to sound. If you want to headbang, rave, or sing at the top of your lungs, there’s room for that here. The focus is momentum and feel. Not checking boxes.

Robert was one of the BEST choices we made for our 2024 wedding! From our first phone call, we knew he was special and would help make our day amazing. His attention to detail, his go with the flow attitude, and comedic timing as an MC made our guests feel comfortable and kept them on the dance floor. We made several changes in the moment and Robert was able to execute perfectly. I can’t recommend the Toasted brew enough, I can say confidently that if I were to plan our wedding again, Robert would be my first call.

I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, spent my college years and 20s in Boston, moved to New York City with my husband and now have found my way back to New England. I worked for eight years in event planning before going full-time with my photography business. The Dapper Gents are a folk-rock band from Portland, ME, are known for their eclectic mix of popular hits and deeper cuts, all enriched with vibrant cello solos. Available as a versatile duo, quartet, or DJ, they are the perfect choice for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and private parties. Serving New England and beyond. The Dapper Gents were the absolute perfect live band for our wedding. Jake especially is super awesome to work with and has so much experience with the industry that it was completely stress free for us. Our wedding was at a camp on Sebago Lake and The Dapper Gents fit our music vibe to a T. And they DELIVERED. From setting up, ceremony, cocktail hour, to reception everything was so so smooth. Our guests were so impressed with their talent and we spent the entire night dancing. I have been producing short films for 8 years. I work with couples from Maine and New England to produce and edit wedding films that tell their unique stories. My areas of practice include theatre, photography, filmmaking, and livestreaming. My favorite part of my job is collaborating with local DJs, photographers, caterers, and filmmakers!

Working with this videographer was an absolute standout experience. His eye for cinematic storytelling is next level. He didn’t just capture moments, he elevated them. Every frame was intentional, every cut had purpose, and the final film felt like something you’d see on the big screen, not just in a wedding album. What impressed me most was his ability to blend artistry with authenticity. From the emotional pacing to the way he used natural light, he brought the energy of the day to life without ever feeling staged or forced. As a DJ who works with a lot of creatives, I can confidently say his talent is rare. If you’re looking for someone who will go beyond documenting your wedding and actually craft a film that feels deeply personal and visually stunning, you’ve found your guy. Hey! I'm Aimee, a film photographer based in Portland, Maine. I work primarily with film as a way of slowing down and paying attention. Film shapes my approach — intuitive and intentional — creating space for imperfection, inspiration and play. My work is grounded in documentation rather than direction. I follow what’s unfolding, offering gentle guidance only when needed, allowing the day to flow naturally.

Aimee was an absolute delight to work with. We had our wedding in September 2024 and we couldn’t have been more happy with our decision to work with her! She was very timely when it comes to email/ text responses, she has great communication, and she is very flexible. We had a slight relocation for our ceremony the morning of the wedding I texted her hours before and she was there on time ready to work. I couldn’t have been more happy with how the photos turned out and she had them done in the time frame she said she would. When we have another event that we need a photographer you can guarantee I will be reaching back out to Aimee. Would recommend a thousand times over3

We’re Caroline and Nermin, the husband-and-wife team behind Caroline Captures Media. Our story began in Bar Harbor, where we first met while working along the coast. It didn’t take long for Maine’s landscapes, communities, and coastal beauty to become a place we deeply connected with and eventually came to call home. Nermin grew up in Montenegro along the Adriatic Sea, so Maine’s rugged shoreline and maritime culture felt immediately familiar. Our shared connection to coastal places and the outdoors has shaped not only our lives, but also the way we see and document weddings.

We were so happy with Caroline Captures Media from start to finish. Their communication was quick and professional, making the whole process easy and stress-free. On our wedding day, they went above and beyond to help us get the best shots and made sure we felt comfortable in front of the camera. They were willing to capture any extra photos we wanted without hesitation. The quality of their work is incredible and the value we got was honestly amazing. We would not hesitate to recommend Caroline Captures Media to any couple looking for a photographer.

I attended one of the events that they hosted (not a wedding, but they have a bunch of different types of events come through regularly), and I LOVED the spot! My fiancé & I are debating having our 2025 wedding reception here next year. We heard nothing but great things about the owners, and the staff working the event seemed to be having a blast. We loved that it's so different from your typical stuffy, overly-elegant wedding venue. This is a photo studio that is run by 2 photographers, and the vibe feels more NYC than Maine. Concrete floors with high ceilings, white walls, in the brewery district of Portland.

Portland, ME

  • Starts at $4,800

My style is editorial meets documentary, emphasizing candid moments, details, and portraits. Much of my training took place in Lviv, one of the top wedding destinations in Eastern Europe. Working abroad and at home, I seek to bring an elevated, creative, artful look to your wedding images and lifestyle photography.

**The Knot Review** What can we say about Lana other than she was truly phenomenal. From our very first meeting, we immediately connected with her. When reviewing the photographers recommended by the Wilburton Inn, her work stood out right away. Her style felt natural, warm, and honest — exactly what we were hoping for. We loved that her photos had a realistic beauty to them, without the overly saturated or overdone look that can sometimes come through in wedding photography. Beyond the work itself, Lana is an incredibly warm and thoughtful person. My wife and Lana immediately connected over their shared experiences of building a life in this country, and that personal connection meant a lot to us. More importantly, Lana really understood the cultural elements of our wedding and the parts of the weekend we wanted to highlight and preserve. She was also so helpful in thinking creatively with us. She listened to what we wanted, helped shape the vision for the shoot, and still had the flexibility to capture the weekend as it naturally unfolded. Every conversation we had with her was easy and pleasant, and we even had the chance to spend time with her in person before the wedding to talk not only about the day itself, but about life, family, and the things that mattered most to us. Lana went above and beyond in every possible way. She gave us more than we could have asked for, added thoughtful touches to support us, and captured pieces of the weekend that we absolutely love. One of the sweetest surprises was that she gave us a small notebook with photos on the day of the wedding, which was such a kind and memorable gesture. We cannot recommend Lana enough. She is talented, warm, creative, thoughtful, and truly cares about the people she works with. We are so grateful she was part of our wedding weekend and look forward to keeping in touch with her for years to come.

Wintertide Floral
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
Portland, ME
  • Florist
  • Starts at $3,500

My foundation in floral design began on a small flower farm in Vermont over 10 years ago, where I immersed myself in the full lifecycle of the work—planting, harvesting, and arranging blooms directly from the field. That experience shaped my style: deeply seasonal, textural, and guided by an intuitive understanding of form and color. My aesthetic is loose and intentional, layered with luxurious texture and touched by a sense of intentional wildness. A steward of sustainable design, I avoid floral foam and plastics, and aim to use local materials wherever I can to have the lightest footprint on our planet possible.

Jenny’s florals for my wedding were an absolute dream, she completely nailed my vision within my budget and I couldn’t have gone with a better florist. Her work is stunning and I received non-stop compliments on her beautiful and unique arrangements. She totally understood my color scheme and vibe, and everything, especially the bridal bouquet, was perfection!! And to top it all off, Jenny is a wonderful and kind person to work with. 110% recommend!

My husband and I had one goal in mind when we were planning our recent wedding: we wanted everyone to have fun! There is not a better place we could have imagined for our wedding than Bayside Bowl!! From our first FaceTime to the sweet note we just got in the mail two weeks after our wedding, every step of the process was smooth and we couldn't have been in better hands than with Micaela and the entire team at Bayside. With a wedding of a little over 100 people, we got pretty much unanimous feedback that our wedding at Bayside was one of the most fun that anyone had ever attended. In truth, this is largely due to the care and ease with which Micaela managed everything! We had an absolutely stress-free wedding and felt so well-taken care of throughout the event and in the run up. You'll enjoy the tasting event where you get to sample offerings from Bayside's awesome menu before your wedding, and the food was also a hit with the guests! We couldn't have wished for a more perfect wedding weekend than the one we had at Bayside.
