We’re struggling to put into words how incredible of an experience we had working with Champagne Casanova for our wedding. From start to finish they were incredibly kind and helpful. We worked with Dan a lot on logistics leading up to the day and he and the entire band captured our vision perfectly. We would hire them again x 1000, and immediately started conjuring up another event we could host just to have them back. Amazing people, amazing talent, would absolutely recommend. Thank you all!!

Jenna Cavanaugh Photography
Rating: 5.0 (23 reviews)
Portland, ME
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

Natural, documentary, photojournalistic. Real, raw, candid. We’re not going for any stiff prom poses here. I like to capture the day as it is and to document it as it unfolds. I never want to force anything, but I step in and direct where needed. Being in front of the camera isn’t my favorite thing either. I will be here to guide you and prompt you the whole way, I promise.

From start to finish Jenna made picking, planning, and working with a wedding photographer seem like the easiest part of our day. She took time to walk us through the plan for the whole event, made sure we got the every group shot we wanted, and didn't miss a candid photo all day or night. Her communication throughout was top notch and I never felt uncomfortable reaching out with random questions or requests. Not only did she make planning it easy, she felt like family by the end of the day. My biggest fear with having professional photos done was our photos looking forced or awkward (these are forever memories!) and Jenna did NOT disappoint! We now have the most amazing photos to look back on from the most amazing day. If you are contemplating hiring Jenna to document your day, I promise you wont be disappointed! She is the definition of talent, kindness and spunk, and we would hire her again in an instant. We HIGHLY recommend her services to anyone in the area who is looking for a wedding photographer!

We worked with Tiny Laser for our wedding, choosing the 30-days out coordination option. Julianne helped us cross all the Ts as we approached the day. We had a general sense of how we wanted everything to go, but she asked us all the right questions, offering details we hadn't thought of. The result was a perfectly smooth wedding. If there were hiccups, we didn't know about them! Julianne and Jose went above and beyond from the rehearsal dinner on, helping to set up our linens, and figuring out how we'd get down the aisle. At the wedding, Julianne checked in on us throughout, making sure we ate, and got sweaters when it got cooler. She was considerate, polite, and calm. We so appreciate all the work Tiny Laser put in to make our day!

I grew up as a young cousin in a big extended family, and gatherings were always a lively affair. I learned that my favorite part the season was watching my family bond over stories (loudly). Picking up a camera let me bottle those moments for other families, whatever yours looks & sounds like. When I archived my grandfather's photographs (let me know if you want to see a video), and it reinforced how photographs can bring you the emotions the camera captured. So I view weddings as a time to lean in to those emotions; in the days and years ahead, in the good times and the bad, we all deserve touchstones that take us back to our best moments.

Our first kiss was on the beach, under a star-filled sky, on my favorite island, only home to shells, bioluminescent creatures, and wild horses. Soon after, as two very young humans (21 and 23), we were married. As newlyweds we set off on an adventure, kayaking from Maine to Key West. On that trip, we realized how much we valued spending all our time together and being in charge of our schedule. This business is how we live out that dream.

We could not have imagined better photographers for our wedding day! We met them to get engagement pictures and we had so much fun- we were so worried about being awkward but they made us feel comfortable! And for the wedding day, they got the best shots and were so involved in the wedding without seeming like they were in the way. We got so many compliments on them day of and especially after seeing their work! Highly highly recommend them!!

Savage Wedding Co.

Portland, ME

  • Starts at $5,000

Savage Wedding Co. is for couples who want their wedding to feel like themselves — not a performance, not a production, and not something they have to manage all day. I work with a balance of structure and flexibility: enough direction to keep things moving, and enough space for moments to unfold without forcing them. I don’t chase perfection or try to smooth out every edge. Some moments are quiet. Some are awkward. Some don’t fit neatly into a highlight reel — and that’s usually where the honest stuff lives. I don’t rush past those moments or reshape them to look like something else. I let things be.

It's hard to put into words how talented and wonderful Tess was to work with. When we first connected, I was immediately drawn to her vision, how collaborative it felt she was, and how she was willing to work with me on planning a less traditional wedding weekend. Aside from some very general direction, I really gave her creative freedom to do what she thought would be best, and then her first proposal exceeded anything I could've imagined so it was a no brainer to work with her. The year of working together was just as great as that first interaction—she is extremely organized and detailed, takes initiative to handle things that were able to be taken off of my plate, and is just clearly so passionate about what she does, and that is reflected in her work. During the wedding weekend, she and her team took on tasks that were outside of what they should've been handling, but did what they thought needed to be done to make my life easier and to make the vision come to life. I was so grateful to have her around for the weekend. But above all of that, the flowers were absolutely incredible. I can't tell you the number of people—both who were at the wedding and who weren't even there—that approached me or reached out to me to tell me they were the most gorgeous flowers that they had ever seen. There wasn't a single person who wasn't blown away by them, my husband and I included!! Long story short.. work with Tess. You won't be disappointed.

The Dapper Gents
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
Portland, ME
  • Band or Ensemble

The Dapper Gents are a folk-rock band from Portland, ME, are known for their eclectic mix of popular hits and deeper cuts, all enriched with vibrant cello solos. Available as a versatile duo, quartet, or DJ, they are the perfect choice for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and private parties. Serving New England and beyond. The current lineup features Jacob McCurdy on vocals and guitar, Danny Rand on cello, Stu Gurley on upright bass, and Jonathan Clement on drums and vocals. They bring a unique twist to pop, rock, and folk hits from artists such as Mumford and Sons, The Pixies, The Lumineers, and Alabama Shakes.

My fiancé and I got married at a barn venue in Dayton, Maine on 5/18 and had the Dapper Gents for our ceremony, reception and cocktail hour. We saw them in Portland and loved them right away. They were timely and responsive leading up to the wedding and carefully considered our requests. They also set up a sound system and music stand for my grandma who officiated. Their ceremony acoustic music was beautiful and the cocktail hour music was wonderful in the background. They were able to dj some special requests for first dance/ parent dances then had all our guests dancing for the reception. They really struck a balance between playing our favorites and going with what the crowd was loving- we had guests from 5 to 75 dancing all night! We cannot recommend the Gents enough, they made our reception so fun and memorable.

My areas of practice include theatre, photography, filmmaking, and livestreaming. My favorite part of my job is collaborating with local DJs, photographers, caterers, and filmmakers!

Working with this videographer was an absolute standout experience. His eye for cinematic storytelling is next level. He didn’t just capture moments, he elevated them. Every frame was intentional, every cut had purpose, and the final film felt like something you’d see on the big screen, not just in a wedding album. What impressed me most was his ability to blend artistry with authenticity. From the emotional pacing to the way he used natural light, he brought the energy of the day to life without ever feeling staged or forced. As a DJ who works with a lot of creatives, I can confidently say his talent is rare. Lana Shevorski Photography
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Portland, ME
  • Photographer
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,800

My style is editorial meets documentary, emphasizing candid moments, details, and portraits. I seek to bring an elevated and artful look to your wedding images with true-to-color editing, crisp details, beautiful luminous skin, and lots of emotions. Fun bonus: for a nostalgic touch, I always include 20-40 vintage film-style edits to each wedding gallery.

**The Knot Review** What can we say about Lana other than she was truly phenomenal. From our very first meeting, we immediately connected with her. When reviewing the photographers recommended by the Wilburton Inn, her work stood out right away. Her style felt natural, warm, and honest — exactly what we were hoping for. We loved that her photos had a realistic beauty to them, without the overly saturated or overdone look that can sometimes come through in wedding photography. Beyond the work itself, Lana is an incredibly warm and thoughtful person. My wife and Lana immediately connected over their shared experiences of building a life in this country, and that personal connection meant a lot to us. More importantly, Lana really understood the cultural elements of our wedding and the parts of the weekend we wanted to highlight and preserve. She was also so helpful in thinking creatively with us. She listened to what we wanted, helped shape the vision for the shoot, and still had the flexibility to capture the weekend as it naturally unfolded. Every conversation we had with her was easy and pleasant, and we even had the chance to spend time with her in person before the wedding to talk not only about the day itself, but about life, family, and the things that mattered most to us. Lana went above and beyond in every possible way. She gave us more than we could have asked for, added thoughtful touches to support us, and captured pieces of the weekend that we absolutely love. One of the sweetest surprises was that she gave us a small notebook with photos on the day of the wedding, which was such a kind and memorable gesture. We cannot recommend Lana enough. She is talented, warm, creative, thoughtful, and truly cares about the people she works with. We are so grateful she was part of our wedding weekend and look forward to keeping in touch with her for years to come.

Hey! I'm Aimee, a film photographer based in Portland, Maine. I work primarily with film as a way of slowing down and paying attention. Film shapes my approach — intuitive and intentional — creating space for imperfection, inspiration and play. My work is grounded in documentation rather than direction. I follow what’s unfolding, offering gentle guidance only when needed, allowing the day to flow naturally.

We were looking for a more photojournalistic, slice-of-life style photographer with a bit of a vintage flair for our Maine Camp Wedding, Aimee was exactly what we were looking for! Aimee captured the joy and beauty of our day, the gorgeous scenery, and many artful shots of all of the details that made our wedding special. Aimee was organized, communicated well and thoroughly both in the lead up to the wedding and day-of. Aimee was so sweet and made us feel very comfortable, letting us lead the way, but gently guiding us when needed. I attended one of the events that they hosted (not a wedding, but they have a bunch of different types of events come through regularly), and I LOVED the spot! My fiancé & I are debating having our 2025 wedding reception here next year. We heard nothing but great things about the owners, and the staff working the event seemed to be having a blast. We loved that it's so different from your typical stuffy, overly-elegant wedding venue. This is a photo studio that is run by 2 photographers, and the vibe feels more NYC than Maine. Concrete floors with high ceilings, white walls, in the brewery district of Portland.

We’re Caroline and Nermin, the husband-and-wife team behind Caroline Captures Media. Our story began in Bar Harbor, where we first met while working along the coast. It didn’t take long for Maine’s landscapes, communities, and coastal beauty to become a place we deeply connected with and eventually came to call home. Nermin grew up in Montenegro along the Adriatic Sea, so Maine’s rugged shoreline and maritime culture felt immediately familiar. Our shared connection to coastal places and the outdoors has shaped not only our lives, but also the way we see and document weddings.

We were so happy with Caroline Captures Media from start to finish. Their communication was quick and professional, making the whole process easy and stress-free. On our wedding day, they went above and beyond to help us get the best shots and made sure we felt comfortable in front of the camera. They were willing to capture any extra photos we wanted without hesitation. The quality of their work is incredible and the value we got was honestly amazing. We would not hesitate to recommend Caroline Captures Media to any couple looking for a photographer.

We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at Bissell Brothers because it's one of our favorite breweries in the Portlamd area! Niko helped us out to plan our event and we ended up doing a casual dinner and drinks on the mezzanine. The night was perfect, and of course the beer was excellent! They also have a wide selection of non-beer options so everyone can find something they like. Highly recommend!
