From our first conversation, Matt made us feel at ease. He took the time to really get to know us and what we were hoping for. Our wedding in Owls Head was everything we’d imagined—ocean air, views of Rockland Harbor, and the lighthouse in the distance. Matt and his team captured it all beautifully, along with the little in-between moments that meant the most. The photos are gorgeous. They feel honest and full of life. And the video… we’ve already watched it more times than we can count. It brings us right back to that day every single time. It doesn’t feel posed or overdone. It just feels like us. Hiring VMG Weddings was one of the best choices we made. If you're planning a wedding in Maine, don’t think twice.

Having VMG at our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. From the first conversation, everything just felt easy and natural. No pressure, no awkward posing, just someone who understood what we wanted and knew how to capture it. Our day at Tops’l Farm was full of little moments that mattered to us, and they caught all of them. The quiet first look with my dad, the ceremony under the apple tree, the dog in a tux, the laughter during the shoe game, nothing felt forced, and nothing was missed. They blended in when they needed to, stepped up when it counted, and delivered photos and video that feel true to us. Looking back, it doesn’t feel like a wedding production, it feels like our day, the way we remember it. We’re so thankful we found them.

I’m Ned— a soulful creative, hopeless romantic & southern Maine based photographer I believe photography is more than just preserving a moment — it's about honoring the depth, emotion, and story that lives within it. I photograph weddings of all kinds—from elegant coastal celebrations to quiet, intimate elopements—with an eye for emotion, beauty, and honest storytelling. My approach is calm, documentary, and grounded in years of experience capturing the real moments that matter. Whether you’re planning a refined gathering or a deeply personal ceremony, I’m here to create images that feel true, timeless, and full of heart.

Ned and Julia are incredibly talented photographers and an absolute pleasure to work with. I had the chance to work alongside them at a Fourth of July event, and I was immediately impressed by their professionalism, attention to detail, and seamless coordination. They have a natural ability to be present for the important moments while allowing the celebration to feel relaxed, authentic, and uninterrupted. The photos they shared with me were beautiful and captured the energy of the day so well. For couples looking for a photography team that is organized, kind, talented, and deeply attentive to the moments that cannot be recreated, I would wholeheartedly recommend Ned and Julia Warner.

I am not sure of the overall quality of the work or value provided by M.R.K. Entertainment, the wedding band and DJ we hired for our wedding. However, they did contribute a few notable things to our special day. The band played a great selection of upbeat music that kept our guests dancing all night long. Additionally, the DJ did a nice job of seamlessly transitioning between songs and maintaining the energy on the dance floor. Overall, M.R.K. Entertainment helped make our wedding reception an enjoyable experience for us and our guests.

With over 20 years of experience as a camera operator and editor, I bring a deep passion for storytelling to every wedding captured. Based in Maine, I specialize in wedding films crafted across New England and beyond, celebrating love stories against the backdrop of some of the most picturesque landscapes in the country.

From the moment we connected with Drew Buerhaus Visuals, we knew we were in good hands. His communication was clear, timely, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Drew had a wonderfully easy-going presence on our wedding day, making us feel at ease as he captured all the special moments. The final video was truly exceptional - detailed, thoughtful, and completely memorable. Drew was highly recommended by our photographer, and we're so glad we had him to film our day. We almost did not include videography in our wedding but started to regret that decision in the final months leading up to our wedding. Drew worked with our budget and timeline and we honestly couldn't imagine our wedding day without him there to preserve those irreplaceable memories. We are thrilled with the results and will cherish our video for a lifetime.

Wedding planning is stressful. If Sarah fits in your budget, hire her!!! As I reflect on our wedding day, I'm just blown away at how perfectly smooth everything went - in large part due to Sarah. We hired Sarah for partial planning services. Her knowledge of the wedding industry and the strong relationships she has with vendors made the entire planning process so much easier. She had great recommendations and was able to answer our questions to put our minds at ease. She has an amazing eye for design; she took what we had in our heads and made it a reality. On the wedding day, she handled everything seamlessly behind the scenes along with her assistant, Gigi. She brought a sense of calm and confidence throughout the planning process and into the day itself. On top of that, she also sent us a collection of pictures and video clips she had captured the very next morning, which was such a special surprise and fun way to relive the day!

At first, I was skeptical of hiring a day of coordinator as I am very organized and was pretty comfortable planning our day on my own. My main reason for hiring a day of coordinator was to not have to worry, to have someone who will help set-up things the way I would, and someone who I can count on to have all the answers for everyone else. Ayden went above and beyond. She is so calm and put together, she helped me more than I can put into words! We had a large wedding of 160 people with a good amount of intricate details. We also had rain that caused our entire ceremony to be switched a few hours before the start time. Ayden handled everything seamlessly. I seriously could not recommend her enough. She made sure my husband and I got wedding cake and extra dessert brought to our room with water for us at the end of the night. She is extremely kind and knowledgeable but encourages you to give your opinions and speak up. I also appreciated that Ayden had to make some executive decisions on her own like moving our LED sign where there wasn't a plug how I originally wanted it, she didn't stress me out with this question, she just handled it and made everything look amazing. I could not recommend her enough, we were so lucky to work with Ayden. I wish we could relive our wedding all over again with Ayden's help!

The Flower Dude

  • Florist
  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Gray, ME
  • Offer

I'm Don Clark. I run The Flower Dude, a studio wedding florist in Portland, Maine. Studio means no retail shop, and that's the point. Instead of a cooler full of roses that flew up from Miami last week, I work from three gardens in Cape Elizabeth and Kennebunk — so from June through late September, your flowers are cut the morning you get married. I arrange everything myself, then deliver and set it up: bouquets, boutonnieres, arches, reception tables, all of it. Personal and personalized.

Don did an AMAZING job with our flowers for our wedding! He listened to all of our wants, needs, and inspirations, and brought our vision to life. We had a beautiful arch of greens for the ceremony with white flower accents, and calla lilies were peppered throughout the wedding and used for wedding party bouquets and boutonnieres. There is nothing Don and The Flower Spot can't do!! You'd be remiss if you didn't choose them for your special event.

I create true-to-life images that will bring you back to some of your sweetest, most treasured moments for years to come. If you’re looking for a light-hearted, boisterous creative to work with, you’ve found her. I'm people-centric which means that, I'm focusing on you, your guests, and the real moments you're sharing together.

I knew we needed to book Kaitlin from the second I found her Zola profile, but it was completely solidified by our meet and greet meeting. Kaitlin is exactly as described. So personal, completely herself, open and transparent, I could go on and on. One of the biggest things that sold us with Kaitlin (besides her work) was the fact that she gave us advice on what to look for/questions to ask with other photography vendors while we were on our hunt. We had our engagement photos in October in Boothbay Harbor and we are actually located in Western Mass. I had ideas in my head about what would work and Kaitlin made the drive to check out the locations and ensure they actually would. One of my locations wasn't the best lighting wise and she gave multiple other options to get similar looks. We actually ended up doing some downtown photos which are some of my favorites (which is a little a lie because I am obsessed with all of them). I read in multiple of Kaitlin's reviews that she makes awkward people comfortable behind the camera and I am here to say it is true. I was so stressed going into things, worried my hair looked bad, we wouldn't get *the* shot, we would look weird, etc. Kaitlin immediately asked me what my worries were and I felt so at ease. Working with Kaitlin felt like working with with a lifelong friend who really has it all together and is such a professional. I truly know that our wedding day is going to be that much better knowing she is going to be there documenting it all.

Natural, documentary, photojournalistic. Real, raw, candid. We’re not going for any stiff prom poses here. I like to capture the day as it is and to document it as it unfolds. I never want to force anything, but I step in and direct where needed. Being in front of the camera isn’t my favorite thing either. I will be here to guide you and prompt you the whole way, I promise.

Jenna was an amazing photographer. My husband and I starting working with her for our engagement photoshoot, and instantly knew that we needed her with us on our wedding day. She is professional, communicative, easy-going, and so fun. She was able to capture our relationship with such authenticity and I'm blown away each time I revisit our photos; all the feelings of the day come rushing back. Portland, Maine based Champagne Casanova got into the music business for all of the right reasons: they love to put on a show, connect with their audience and have a great time! With their decades of combined performing and gigging experience, your event is in the right hands. Specializing in Modern Pop, '90's Alternative, Indie-Rock, Pop-Punk and Country, the band covers a wide selection of just the that songs you and your guests want to hear. When it comes to live music, live sound and a reception that will be a party to remember, they are the only call you're going to have to make.

Hiring CC was one of the best wedding decisions we made! From the beginning, Dan was super responsive and clear about the band’s style, availability and price. After booking, Dan was great about answering questions and keeping in touch about song requests, timeline and other important wedding items. If you’re looking for a band that you would want to dance and sing along with at a fun bar or party, on top of being extremely talented musicians, these are your people. They also understand weddings and are willing to take on fun challenges. They took the time to successfully pull off many requests such as: - My requests and timing for the ceremony music which included acoustic renditions of Harvest Moon, With a Little Help from my Friends and Here, There, and Everywhere. They also take care of the sound systems and mic set up for the ceremony. - An amazing live rendition of Touch Me by The Doors for our reception entrance - Another amazing live rendition of Come Sail Away by Styx for our first dance which transitioned into open dance floor for all guests - Helping me pull off a surprise outfit change/re entrance into the party which included allowing me to join the band to sing Just A Girl by No Doubt. My guests had nothing but great things to say about CC and applauded their crowd work and musical talent. I also highly recommend paying to add on the sax player. They were AMAZING and added the perfect touch. Overall, Champagne Casanova is completely worth it for your wedding. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!

We worked with Tiny Laser for our wedding, choosing the 30-days out coordination option. Julianne helped us cross all the Ts as we approached the day. We had a general sense of how we wanted everything to go, but she asked us all the right questions, offering details we hadn't thought of. The result was a perfectly smooth wedding. If there were hiccups, we didn't know about them! Julianne and Jose went above and beyond from the rehearsal dinner on, helping to set up our linens, and figuring out how we'd get down the aisle. At the wedding, Julianne checked in on us throughout, making sure we ate, and got sweaters when it got cooler. She was considerate, polite, and calm. We so appreciate all the work Tiny Laser put in to make our day!

Here at Miss Hamill’s we collaborate with you to create a totally unique and personal menu for your wedding. We love cooking from scratch using seasonal ingredients from our Maine farms, fish markets and local purveyors. Our services include: styled food spreads, raw bar oyster cart, interactive stations, passed-appetizers, family-style, buffet and plated dinners. We partner with you and your planner in the entire process; rentals assistance, detailed logistics, day-of operations, custom-styled food stations and more. Our passion is hospitality and we strive to make every one of your guests feel taken care of throughout the event!

Miss Hamill’s was hands down our favorite vendor to work with for our 200-person wedding in Maine this past August! From start to finish, they were organized, thoughtful, and incredibly caring — you can truly tell that they love what they do. Jay and Danielle took the time to get to know us and our tastes, and their passion for food really showed. We had a pre-call to plan the menu, and they were so flexible and collaborative — offering fantastic suggestions for everything from passed appetizers to entrees. They designed a personalized, family-style dinner that felt so warm and special, and the use of seasonal ingredients elevated every dish. As a couple who loves trying new restaurants and unique flavors, we immediately connected with them over their shared love of food. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the meal was — so many people told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Their attention to detail went above and beyond. They built the most beautiful raw bar cart that added so much to our cocktail hour aesthetic and put together gorgeous table scapes for our charcuterie table. They even scraped all of our dinner plates (we sourced our own china) at the end of the night. They handled every twist and turn of the day with grace and smiles. Miss Hamill’s is everything you could want in a caterer — talented, professional, and genuinely kind people. If you’re lucky enough to book them, do it! You’ll be so glad you did.

I grew up as a young cousin in a big extended family, and gatherings were always a lively affair. I learned that my favorite part the season was watching my family bond over stories (loudly). Picking up a camera let me bottle those moments for other families, whatever yours looks & sounds like. When I archived my grandfather's photographs (let me know if you want to see a video), and it reinforced how photographs can bring you the emotions the camera captured. So I view weddings as a time to lean in to those emotions; in the days and years ahead, in the good times and the bad, we all deserve touchstones that take us back to our best moments.

Christophe is AMAZING! First off, he did a fantastic job with our engagement pictures last Summer- he got there early to scope out the scenery and lighting and had all of our pictures back in less than a week. He was proactive with communication up until the wedding to confirm times, locations, and photo lists for the weekend. He was prompt, organized and professional the whole time. One of our favorites is the amount of time he took to capture some small details of our big day that we would not have thought of. He really went above and beyond, and most importantly our photos are amazing and all back in less than 2 weeks! All our friends and family was super impressed with his work.

Our first kiss was on the beach, under a star-filled sky, on my favorite island, only home to shells, bioluminescent creatures, and wild horses. Soon after, as two very young humans (21 and 23), we were married. As newlyweds we set off on an adventure, kayaking from Maine to Key West. On that trip, we realized how much we valued spending all our time together and being in charge of our schedule. This business is how we live out that dream.

Bethany and Dan Photography were the perfect photographers for our wedding day. From our first interaction, their communication was clear, consistent, and friendly, putting us at ease immediately. The quality of their work was truly stunning - they captured the most interesting and intimate moments throughout the day in a way that felt like they were part of the family. Bethany and Dan made us and all of our guests feel so comfortable, allowing us to feel in control of our special day. We cannot recommend Bethany and Dan Photography more highly - they were an absolute pleasure to work with and the photos they delivered are ones we will cherish forever.

We couldn't have picked a better spot to have our wedding! Communication was great and we were offered different package options to have our wedding day be exactly what we were looking for. Rating: 5.0 (11 reviews)
Scarborough, ME
  • Venue
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $9,500

Maine's only greenhouse event venue exclusively designed for wedding receptions and ceremonies. 2021 marks 72 years of Highland Farm’s history in Scarborough, Maine. From the beginning, the property has been operating as a greenhouse. In fact, in the 1800’s, Highland Farm was the largest supplier of cut flowers in the Northeast. Highland Farm is a family owned and operated business, and the undeniable sense of family and welcome energy is palpable the moment you step on the grounds. The saying is true here: “you come as strangers and leave as family.” The Greenhouse and The Farm has been run by 3rd generation owners, Joe and Christine since 2008, but Joe and Christine’s involvement in the farm runs far deeper than ownership. In 2009, the couple was married in one of the working greenhouses

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Has a dance floor for celebration
  • Lush gardens

Venue considerations

  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic

From the very first tour with Jessica to saying goodbye the day after the wedding, we could not have been more excited to work with The Greenhouse and their staff for our wedding. Everything was gorgeous, the flowers felt like they were planted just for our wedding, the restrooms were clean and the new stairs made it so much easier to use them, and there was ample space for eating and dancing the night away!

We met seven years ago in high school and have been together for the last three. At Cold River Photography, we believe that every image has a story to tell. We are a passionate team of photographers who are dedicated to capturing and preserving those unique moments that make life so beautiful. From breathtaking landscapes to intimate portraits, we have an eye for detail and a knack for capturing the essence of our subjects. Our mission is to create timeless and evocative photographs that not only showcase the beauty of the world but also evoke emotions and tell the story of each couples wedding day.

From the moment we booked Cold River Photography, they provided quick and clear communication. Justin and Kate were a pleasure to work with. As someone who does not love having their photo taken, they made me feel comfortable in front of the camera. We had our wedding at a small restaurant which was not a typical wedding venue with low ceilings and low lighting, and it ended up raining for our outdoor ceremony. It didn’t matter as the final photos are absolutely beautiful, capturing the natural beauty of our special day in a way that feels authentic and genuine. I would highly recommend Cold River Photography to any couple looking for skilled, easy-to-work-with photographers who will deliver stunning, high-quality images you'll treasure for a lifetime.

When my husband and I were looking for venues in our home state of Maine we happened upon the Greenwood Manor Inn during our lengthy search. The photos we saw online were so charming and it looked like a place we could picture ourselves getting married. When we arrived for our tour we met with Jill, who is truly sunshine in human form. She is one of the kindest people, and her personality is absolutely infectious. I won’t lie Jill, you were one of the big reasons we decided to get married at the Inn! On top of her amazing personality, she can truly do it all! She connected us with a florist and a photographer that we used, provided us with a whole list of other vendors, baked all of our cupcakes, and prepared all of the appetizers for cocktail hour! Her cooking and baking are absolutely out of this world by the way, breakfast at the inn was incredible every morning we stayed there! Fast forward to wedding weekend, we were able to book the whole inn for the weekend with all of our wedding party guests. Jill and Joe made sure everything anybody needed was taken care of so quickly. The rooms are absolutely adorable, and the suites for us to get ready in were HUGE and could fit all the bridesmaids for hair/makeup/getting dressed with no issues. There were always fresh cookies in the lobby that were demolished by all of us multiple times, and we would leave for a few minutes and there would magically be more! (Thanks Jill!). The day before our wedding we realized that our tent wouldn’t be big enough to fit our caterers, and Jill’s sister was kind enough to let us borrow some of her tents to cover the caterers so they wouldn’t be in the hot sun. We also forgot an easel for our seating chart, and Jill and Joe magically had one for us to use! Joe handled the bartending for our reception and even picked wild Maine blueberries to use for our blueberry margarita signature drink. Needless to say it was absolutely delicious and wildly popular with our guests! I truly cannot rave enough about the Greenwood manor inn. Our wedding day was better than I could have ever dreamed it would be, and it was in big part to Jill, Joe, and company. Including Cocoa and Spice, the resident furry friends who were the cherry on top. We can’t wait to come back in a few years to visit and remember our big day spent at the Greenwood Manor Inn. Truly cannot recommend it enough!

Savage Wedding Co.
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
  • Photographer
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Gray, ME

Savage Wedding Co. is for couples who want their wedding to feel like themselves — not a performance, not a production, and not something they have to manage all day. I work with a balance of structure and flexibility: enough direction to keep things moving, and enough space for moments to unfold without forcing them. I don’t chase perfection or try to smooth out every edge. Some moments are quiet. Some are awkward. Some don’t fit neatly into a highlight reel — and that’s usually where the honest stuff lives. I don’t rush past those moments or reshape them to look like something else. I let things be.

From start to finish, Magnus was so great to work with! He was super communicative, and was incredibly flexible when we needed to move our engagement photo date. He worked with harsh beach sunlight (and was only a couple days post-op on a leg procedure) and delivered our photos super fast! We hired him to be the photographer and DJ for our March wedding and the process was very smooth. He asked lots of questions about our preferences, helped us nail down a day-of timeline, and kept us relaxed! On our wedding day, he kept things moving and suggested some really cool photos to take that have ended up being some of our favorites! The music was also INCREDIBLE - he played nearly all of our requested songs and I didn't stop dancing all night! The guests raved about him, his second photographer (Hi, Jordan!!) and the music. Thank you for making our wedding day so memorable - we got the sneak peek photos back within 24 hours and we can't wait to see the rest!!
