I had the absolute pleasure of attending the wedding of my dear friends, Jessica and Alex, at Sunmist Estate last weekend, and I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful and serene wedding venues I have ever experienced. We absolutely love working at Twin Oaks Garden and Estate! The Vistonian was a lovely venue! We loved all of the greenery and natural light inside the venue. It was spacious and allowed for plenty of room for our guests. The bridal suite was also spacious with lots of mirrors and outlets. We used the venue for both ceremony and reception. It was an easy transition going from one to the next. We worked with Shelly, the venue coordinator, and she was fabulous! Great communication from when we toured, booked, and up to our big day. The value for what we got was amazing as well! We did their all inclusive package and were happy with the price for all that we got: tables & chairs, bridal suite, catering, open bar, and DJ. Honestly, so great if you're on a budget or have a bigger budget and want to spend more on something like decor or florals. Highly recommend!!

The team at the California Center For The Arts, Escondido was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Their communication was excellent - they always responded to my emails quickly and thoroughly answered any questions I had. They allowed me to set up my own decorations the day before, which was the best thing ever! If you don't have a wedding planner, they do offer a wedding coordinator which is a lot more affordable and super helpful the day of the wedding. The event space itself was perfect for our wedding, accommodating our 189 guests (rented 3 halls). The venue has 5 halls, so depending on your guest count, you can have a super large wedding or small. On the day of, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and all of our guests raved about the delicious food and beautiful reception setup. They have so many locations to take really nice pictures which allowed us to not travel to a different location to take pictures. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a stress-free, beautiful wedding day. Thank you, Meghan (event coordinator), for making our wedding day be amazing and stress free!

We booked our August 2024 wedding with The Crossings in July 2022; partly because my mom was saying I needed to lock it in before it was too late since Covid messed up the wedding industry, but mostly because we knew it was were we wanted to get married. It is an all-inclusive venue, which means we didn't have to worry about rentals, the ceremony area, food, drinks, or a baker since they partner with VG's Donuts and Bakery. Lauren was there with us every step of the way and is truly the sweetest. The Crossings was super accommodating when we asked for adjustments to the menu and bar, and letting us girls get in to the bridal suite a little early. Also the food was tasty! Thanks a bunch to The Crossings :)

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Mingle and Create event recently, making mini pumpkins displays using succulents, leaves and glue guns! The center supplied everything - pumpkins, and array of succulents, decorative items, working tables and glue guns - and even had treats and drinks. We had a great time chatting with others, admiring the other creations and getting more ideas for future creative work. Kudos to the staff who decorated the space and hosted us so generously!

The Venue Inland Empire was a fantastic choice for our wedding of 75 guests. Their communication throughout the planning process was clear, concise and friendly, which made everything run smoothly. The space itself is cozy and the perfect size for our medium-sized celebration, though we did wish there was a dedicated bridal room. Despite that minor detail, the venue's clear signage and ability to host both our wedding ceremony and reception made it an ideal location. If you're looking for a local spot for a wedding of around 75 people, I highly recommend checking out The Venue Inland Empire.

The traditional Mexican Palenque was an arena that hosted many large parties and even battles that date back to a Mayan civilization that still stands today in Chiapas, Mexico. El Adobe added the Palenque Room to match this Mexican event space concept and host larger parties of its own. Weddings had long since been taking place at El Adobe but with the new Palenque Room and Chapel location in the adjacent Garden, it gave guests a dedicated space to host a grand wedding celebration with up to 250 guests in attendance. One of the most well-known features of this room is the retractable ceiling that opens up almost 40ft across to expose the skies above San Juan Capistrano. The room and its Garden have evolved over time adding a full bar of its own and spacious restrooms to accommodate the larger guest count. However, it still holds its original style and beauty where thousands have come to celebrate their special events and gather their friends and families for an unforgettable night.

Had my 60 person wedding here the other day, doing my best to write a thorough review. TL;DR: A great all-inclusive venue at an affordable price, if you aren't too hung up on the details. Small snags: We had requested our audio guestbook be put out at the cocktail hour, and we had brought some additional desserts of our own--both things were forgotten about until I pulled someone aside and reminded them. The requested gluten-free meal was given to the appropriate guest, then taken away(?), but given back again once we found our coordinator and let her know. The DJ (DJ BodyRawk) was ok; he took requests and shook the tip jar to play them, though I had already tipped him as part of the overall bill. I thought parking would be available, but we had to park in the available lot across the street, which we weren't told ahead of time. The venue can be a little hard to get a hold of; their automatic answering service is a bit weird and they don't leave messages when they call you back, but our coordinator Tanya was pretty good about calling/texting back. Keep in mind the bridal suite is very small (this was perfect for me). There was another event going on but it didn't affect my wedding in the slightest--people were very sweet and offered me congrats. The rehearsal was apparently self-guided; this was never communicated to us. These weren't huge issues for me, but if you're the type to NEED a totally perfect dream wedding, they are things to keep in mind. The Highlights: My guests LOVED the gorgeous fountain courtyard as well as the decor of the room, especially the light-up willow tree. 99% of our own decor (arch, pictures, Mr/Mrs signs, centerpieces, accent flower petals, party favors) were laid out as requested and looked lovely. As I said the food was excellent, they worked with me on gluten-free and vegan options at no extra charge (for under 5 people), the bartender truly had the patience of a saint and made fast, delicious drinks, and the photobooth from the venue was a HUGE hit and we have some really fun pictures. It was AWESOME having an all-inclusive venue, I had very little to worry or think about; they also have decor accents, lights, arches, and centerpieces available to rent if you'd like. And of course, the price was outstandingly affordable. The incredible price was the biggest draw for us and honestly it was worth it, I'd do it again. Overall, I'd recommend Encore for anyone who wants a great, fun wedding!

If you're looking for great Chinese seafood dishes for a big banquet, this is your space. We booked in advanced a few months and Randy, the manager helped us through the full process. We had a dance floor, 13 tables (10 seats per table) and wonderful food for all our guests to enjoy. Jasmine met our expectations and then some. As the bride, I had selfish allergy, but the peking duck and steak cubes I had, was amazing. From the amount of guests we had and the feedback we got, everyone LOVED the food. We hope more people give Jasmine a try as their wedding venue. My husband and his family even came back for dinner the next. day and enjoyed the meal immensely.

Rose Creek Cottage 1900 was the perfect venue for our wedding day. The staff was very responsive and timely in all of their communication, which helped make the planning process stress-free. The church, reception hall, and grounds were all beautifully maintained and provided a wonderful setting for our celebration. From the moment I met Marcela, the Handlery coordinator, I knew our experience would be memorable for all the right reasons. She was attentive and patient with all our questions and was quick to get back to our emails. The venue itself is lovely, especially the outdoor wedding gazebo. The reception area perfectly accommodated our guests and the staff were extremely attentive and professional. They worked well with all of our vendors and there were no complications at all. Building 177, originally the Naval Library, has been newly renovated with wood floors and white walls, and is a wonderful blank space for your event. The space has grand vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and offers over 7,000 square feet of versatile space. Designed specifically with events in mind, guests flow naturally between our scenic outdoor patio, an entry foyer, and our main hall. We also have designed bridal suite for brides and their bridal parties to enjoy. For corporate events, we have the option to add on break out rooms and conference spaces at the Command Center, just steps from Building 177. Building 177 hosts up to 425 guests for a seated reception, 500 for theatre style, and 750 guests for a cocktail style party. We loved having our wedding reception at the museum! It was a unique venue, bright, and spacious. It’s an experience we (and our guests) still talk about almost 6 years later. It was a stress free wedding as Jenny (venue coordinator) was so easy to work with and very helpful in coordinating with all of our vendors and day of wedding coordinator. The museum has an approved list of vendors, and made suggestions that made the night even more special (like keeping the dinosaur skeleton out during the reception!) The cocktail hour was held on the second level, and the guests were able to walk through the exhibits. The reception was on the first level which was spacious.

Choosing Flora as our venue was by far one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We initially had viewed other downtown San Diego locations and just happened to find them and get them on the schedule, and it was absolutely the right decision. Full disclosure up front, they do have a relatively strict contract regarding the rules and regulations of the venue. With that being said, their team was incredibly open and responsive in having conversations about the contract, and personalized it when we identified some very specific circumstances as it related to us. Due to a smaller guest count we were owed money after the wedding, and we received the check in the mail, along with the security deposit, two days after the event had taken place which was a great weight off our shoulders. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The live foliage indoors with the skylights immediately sold us as soon as we entered the building. The floor layout is perfect for small to mid-sized guest counts, with ours seating 80 people perfectly. With the gorgeous tables, chairs, and other décor housed on-site it makes planning rentals and decorations that much easier not needing to deal with outside vendors. The staff could not have been more professional if we had asked. Katherine, Jameson, Erin, and the rest of their team were consistently responsive in the planning and execution of the wedding, constantly providing feedback and information when it was required. We had a handful of elderly/handicapped guests, and Jameson personally went to each and every one of them throughout the night to ensure that if there was anything they needed it would be taken care of. Especially on the day-of the wedding, Jameson was absolutely exceptional along with the bar staff in ensuring that transitions went smoothly and the guests had a great experience. He was always available for a phone call or email, and worked with us directly in problem solving and brainstorming ideas to make our day as special as possible. There have been countless guests who have given us feedback on how great the bar service was, which we could not have been happier with. All-in-all, Flora was an incredible venue to host our special day. We cannot give their team and the location better recommendations for couples looking to have a downtown San Diego wedding.
