Vesper Venue is a premier event venue in San Diego, offering a stunning blend of historic character and modern versatility. Originally the library of the former Naval Training Center, this beautifully restored venue has been thoughtfully redesigned for weddings, corporate events, galas, trade shows, conferences, and private celebrations. Featuring over 7,000 square feet of flexible event space, Vesper Venue showcases elegant wood floors, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, crisp white walls, and abundant natural light, creating a bright, open atmosphere that can be customized to match any event vision. Guests can move seamlessly between the venue’s scenic outdoor patio, welcoming entry foyer, and expansive main hall, creating an effortless flow for networking, dining, and socializing. Vesper Venue accommodates up to 400 guests for seated events and 750 guests for cocktail-style receptions, making it one of the most versatile large event venues in San Diego.

Description

Each of our BLDG 177 venue rentals include the set up and tear down of our inventory. Before your rental start time, our staff will have the inventory set up and ready to go so you can begin designing the space to your preferences! In addition to the included general inventory, we also offer rentals, such as projector + screen, market lights, stage riser, farm tables, + more!

    Beautiful venue and reliable team

    This was our venue for our November 2025 wedding reception. We ultimately chose this venue because of its abundance of natural lighting, the size of the venue fitting our expected 200 guest count, and the "blank canvas" nature of the venue that is every DIY bride's dream. Aside from the beautiful venue, the VESPER Venue team are professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. For context, there was a change in management sometime May 2025, but despite of this, the new team ensured a smooth transition, and that anything that was contracted under the previous management were still honored. Special mentions to Heather, Anavictoria, and Clinton; they are responsive to any and all questions we had, even to the smallest details, and we appreciate the friendliness and being easy to approach that allowed for us to plan our wedding to the fullest. Definitely glad to have VESPER venue for our wedding day!

    Stunning Space

    From the moment we toured VESPER Venue, we knew it was the perfect place to host our wedding. The sales representative who showed us around was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. They have a beautiful, minimalist space that provided the classic, elegant backdrop we were looking for. The freedom to bring in our own preferred vendors was a huge selling point, as we were able to curate an experience that truly reflected our personal style. VESPER Venue's gorgeous, flexible space and their nice, accommodating team made planning our special day a breeze. We are so grateful to have found this hidden gem and would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a stunning, value-driven wedding venue.

    Top Notch Service

    VESPER Venue was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From our first interaction, their team was incredibly flexible, fast, efficient, helpful, and accommodating in guiding us through the planning process. The venue itself is truly customizable, with a beautiful, clean aesthetic that felt perfect for our celebration. We were able to utilize both the indoor and outdoor areas of the Liberty Station space, which had such a cool, vibrant vibe. The Vesper team went above and beyond to help us refine our vision for the day and make last-minute adjustments, ensuring our wedding was everything we had hoped for and more. Their services are also very reasonably priced, making Vesper Venue an excellent value. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

    Best Day, Best Venue, Best Event Team

    Vesper Venue was the perfect choice for our wedding. From the beginning, the team was highly responsive and really listened to our needs. The space is truly grand and feels so private and special - my guests adored it and we received so many compliments. Heather and the onsite event team took our wedding experience to the next level, ensuring we felt taken care of every step of the way. They worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy our special day. With easy parking, ample restrooms, and an ADA ramp for my grandmother, Vesper Venue was the one-stop powerhouse that made our wedding flawless. If I had to do it all over again, I would absolutely return to Vesper Venue.

    Best venue in SD!

    Amazing team and amazing location. I highly recommend for your big day. Heather was a huge help with all of our wedding planning. Allowed us to have multiple visits with different vendors so they can see the layout.

We have a mix of Required + Recommended vendors here at Building 177. Our Required Vendor List is for Catering & Bar. All other vendors are just highly recommended but you can bring in other insured vendors of your choosing.
You sure can! As long as one of our licensed Caterers / Bartenders serve it
We do have each Client get a day-of event insurance. It's super easy to get (we can help you) and is usually around $150 total.
Parking is all free and self-park. Liberty Station is amazing and has so many nearby lots for your guests.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Your reservation includes 12 hours including set up & tear down times.
The use (& set up) of our tables & chairs. Our inventory + any additional Moniker services will be setup prior to your contracted start time. It will be all ready to go as soon as your contract starts and you can start setting up decor. And an on-site venue supervisor :)

You can party until 11:00pm. Bar service must end a half hour prior to your end time. You and your vendors can continue breaking down and cleaning up until the contracted end time.
January & February ~ we love offering discounted rates in these months.
