And somehow on top of all of that, she is just a wonderful person. Leading up to the wedding she was the vendor who had THE most calming and thoughtful presence. It was such a breath of fresh air having our first phone discussion, and every single interaction after was at the same level of calm, reassuring professionalism while being sensitive and responsive to my various preferences and (very hectic!) circumstances. It's a testament to Simi's talent that she and her amazing 2nd shooter, Nikki, were able to produce such a lovely gallery for us under the circumstances of our wedding - 1 hour less of shooting time than planned, anti-abortion and anti-foie gras protesters not letting people near the building, last minute odd lighting - the gamut of challenges. They were flexible and understanding, sweet and had a great sense of humor throughout, so it was a pleasure to have spent so much time with them that day. Oh and Simi helped steam my veil - what a team player! But back to the photos - Simi made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera, and her pre-wedding survey allowed us to share our vision and requests, so it didn't feel pressured on the day of. We received a very substantial gallery in less time than I was quoted by other photographers I'd interviewed. She did exactly what I'd asked, in terms of the types of photos I'd requested and whom to focus on for extra pictures. “Sarah was absolutely amazing to work with. She was friendly, professional and it instantly felt like she was part of our "inner circle" of friends for the wedding. She went above and beyond to get the best shots for portraits, decor and all the little "must have" shots we asked for. She also kept track of time to remind us when we were closely approaching the start of the ceremony and we hadn't done a first look yet! The wedding day goes by so quickly, it was reassuring to know she was willing to give us a gentle reminder to get all the shots we wanted. My favorite experience was her remembering a note I had put into the questionnaire about an inside joke/phrase my friends and I have that she was likely to hear all night. Early in the day, the phrase was said and while I didn't even notice it, she excitedly shouted "I heard it!!" which we both got a good laugh out of. It showed me that Sarah really reviewed the questionnaire prior to the day and made an effort to pay attention to and take note of the intricate details that were entered into it. Despite my note being small, I know that if any important details of family dynamics were added, she would have noticed and adjusted to those things as well. After the wedding, we also had multiple friends and family comment on how great she was! The cherry on top of our experience was the photos being returned to us quickly and they were AMAZING! Every requested shot was included but there was also so many photos that we didn't even realize were taken that truly captures how special the day was. I couldn't recommend Sarah enough and if we ever need special moments captured again, she will be the first person we contact!”

“Planning a wedding comes with many challenges, especially if you're like me and you have a fiance with a K-1 visa and are literally at the mercy and scheduling of the immigration system. However, Anvi Parikh was one of the people who made my wedding a smooth process! As my photographer, she was flexible with dates and understood my situation and guaranteed to give me beautiful pictures to capture my wedding that would also help us provide more proof for the immigration process; and she delivered on that promise! One of the reasons I agreed to hire Anvi to be my photographer was because of her expertise about of San Francisco City Hall. I had seen pictures on Instagram of other couples who did this and, given that I had 90 days to get married, it seemed like the best location to do it. “Paulina is an amazing photographer - we hired her for engagement and wedding photography! She is so pleasant to work with and is super friendly, which really helps to make us and our guests feel comfortable on the other side of the lens! This translates really well into the photos, as she is able to capture everyone naturally! On the day of our wedding, she was a great orchestrator as she gathered our guests and went through our group portraits efficiently and with the best light. Not only that, but as we (and some of our guests) are not sure how to pose, she was able to provide cues to make sure we were captured at our best angles!! “Audey did a FANTASTIC job with both our engagement photos and our city hall wedding ceremony photos. When I got in contact with her, we chatted about any ideas I had in terms of locations and poses, but she was also incredibly helpful in prompting us to think about what we wanted out of our shoots. She's able to scout locations super quickly once at the destination and is a true pro at being able to get the shot. We took our engagement photos at Lands End and Golden Gate Park on an absolutely freezing day (another normal day in SF haha) and Audey helped us get through the shoot quickly and successfully! She directed us through all of the poses and made us feel super comfortable and relaxed with her. We were even able to squeeze in some last minute unplanned shots that actually turned out so beautiful. For SF city hall, she truly is a miracle worker because nobody had guessed that there were several other couples also milling around the rotunda based on the outstanding shots she was able to take. I had no idea it was her first time shooting SF city hall since she navigated it like a pro!
