I'm Maddie, a wedding photographer based on the Peninsula. I shoot across the Bay Area, from San Francisco City Hall to the redwoods and the Carmel coast. I grew up in Michigan, spent a few years in Boston, and came to weddings through photojournalism, which is still how I work. I watch for the look your dad gives you before you walk and the friends who lose it on the dance floor. Portraits are quick and relaxed. I'll tell you when we're doing them, and the rest of the day is yours.

The part I love is getting to know people. Not just the two of you, but your parents, your friends, the cousin who takes over the dance floor. For one day I'm part of your circle, and I photograph it from the inside. Early on I'll ask how you want your photos to tell the story. Mostly the two of you? Your guests? A mix? Candid, posed, or both? Tell me, and I'll shoot your day the way you'll want to remember it. And it's just me, so the photographer you meet on the call is the one who shows up.

    Wedding Photography with Maddie

    We loved having Maddie photograph our wedding! We had a small ceremony with family and friends, and Maddie's pictures really capture how special of a day it was. She gave us lots of directions, which I am particularly thankful for, as well as scouting the venue to find nice spots and made it a very smooth experience for us. She was great with all our friends and family, and after the event, she edited the pictures and sent it to us promptly. Overall, she is an incredibly talented photographer and we were lucky to have her at our wedding.

    Maddie captured our moments perfectly

    Maddie is amazing! We worked with her for both our engagement and wedding photos. She was able to capture all of the emotions of our day -- our joy, love, and tears. The pictures are incredible. When we got them we spent hours looking through and reliving the moments. Maddie captured not just the big events but also little moments, jokes, laughs, and smiles. More than that, she got them back to us extremely quickly, within just a few days! Looking at the photos, I'm still surprised by how good we look. They feel like scenes from a movie. I smile every time I see them.

    Awesome to work with

    Madeline was so great to work with. She made us feel comfortable and calm on such a hectic day. I wish it hadn’t rained but Maddie made the best of it and I have no doubt the pictures will be great. 10/10 would hire her again

All of the photos that I deliver to you will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
You can expect about 50 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 2 weeks after your wedding.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
If you have a wedding with more than 100 guests, I recommend including a second photographer. This is so that we can make sure you get photos of all of your guests and all the details, big and small. We can talk more about specifics in a consultation call!
Typically, couples book me about 6 to 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
