Sid is super talented and is great at reading the crowd likely because he still actively DJs at clubs which is exactly what we were looking for. He had everyone on their feet dancing from our younger crowd of friends and cousins to our older family and friends. You know it’s a good party when you have a dachshund do the limbo and the men’s ties transfer to their head haha. We got SO many compliments on the DJ from our guests! Additionally, Sid did a fantastic job with the ceremony and grand entrances and dances, and MCing. We had 2-3 planning meetings with him via Zoom before the wedding, which were super helpful to get to know each other, ask questions, and share our music tastes and wishes. Fusion function also had an app where we could upload our songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, entrances, first dances, and reception to keep everything organized and give Sid a vibe for our music style. Our wedding was an epic party to remember thanks to DJ El Sid!”

His easygoing, calm personality immediately put us at ease, which meant so much during the planning process and on the day itself. After a quick conversation, he immediately understood the exact vibe we were hoping for and executed it flawlessly. The instrumental rendition of Taylor Swift’s Invisible String that I walked down the aisle to was absolutely beautiful—truly one of my favorite moments of the day. He also played live music as guests were finding their seats and during the processional, which set such a warm, intimate tone for the entire ceremony. Beyond being insanely talented, he has an extensive knowledge of music and is skilled enough to play just about any song you can imagine. His playing elevated our ceremony in a way that felt personal, emotional, and unforgettable. “From start to finish, DJ Castaneda was absolutely incredible. The energy was through the roof all night and people still talk about how great he was at our wedding. His DJ booth looked amazing and added a really clean, high-end look to the room, but what really stood out was how well he controlled the entire night. However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

The singer Karlea was phenomenal and did an amazing job of keeping our guests engaged and entertained. The musicians were all courteous, professional, and exceptionally talented. They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band. I highly recommend this group for your wedding.”
