“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Susan! She was so communicative and friendly, and she really made every part of the process of coordinating with a DJ easy. For people like us who were very intimidated by the planning process of a wedding her planning spreadsheet and phone-calls/video calls to discuss walk throughs of the day were incredibly helpful. Susan was timely on the day of our wedding and very prompt with responses throughout with us. Her experience as a DJ was clear to us, but we were also very pleased with her abilities as an MC. “We originally booked a different DJ for our wedding, but a few months before the wedding realized that they weren’t going to work out for us. We were getting married during peak summer season on a weekend, and since it was so late in the game we thought we wouldn’t be able to find another DJ who met our needs. Then, DJ Dane was recommended to us by our wedding planner and, after an initial introduction video call, we booked him on the spot. The vibes and professionalism we received from Dane in that initial meeting far exceeded other DJ’s were looking at who were double the cost. It was a huge weight off of our chest to find a DJ who was competent, understood our vision and supported our crazy ideas…all within our price range! Our venue required a gondola ride up to the ceremony spot, a ride back down to the inside reception area and outdoor cocktail hour. He was able to juggle 3 VERY different location set ups and some fairly complicated logistics, all while acting like it was no big deal to him. Additionally, my husband plays the saxophone and I knew I wanted him to record himself playing Canon in D to serenade me as I walked down the aisle. A week before the wedding my husband sent Dane a few recordings of him playing and Dane was able to piece them together and the end result was magical! Dane went above and beyond to make our wedding day special. When we couldn’t decide on our grand entrance song he suggested a few options that matched the vibe and theme of our day and we liked his choices better than any of ours! He did an excellent job assisting with the flow of the day, making requested announcements and handling complicated venue logistics. He kept the party going, and our guests walked away wanting more. I would highly recommend Dane!”

“Trecee was our DJ for our outdoor wedding reception, and he was amazing! My husband and I were originally going to just play music from our phone, but I’m glad that we found and hired Trecee instead! With no coordinator and last minute changes before and on the day of our wedding, Trecee remained professional, flexible, and fun as our DJ and MC! He followed our song cue list wonderfully, and helped us remix our first dance songs just how we planned. He made announcements we had set on the schedule as well as additional ones requested. He also made funny comments, which totally added to the vibes. His music choices were just what we were looking for, and even with a request by my family to switch to slower songs, he did it seamlessly; Fun, hyped songs for the younger crowd and romantic songs for the elders. (Which is very helpful as, again, we didn’t have a coordinator.) Overall, he is a great DJ & MC, and my now husband and I would highly recommend his services! “DJ MC Duke was an absolute hero for our wedding ceremony, cocktails, and reception! He did a great job onboarding us for the whole process and made us feel heard and appreciated before we even got to the wedding day! We ended up having several particular requests that include making cuts and edits of existing songs, and MC Duke had absolutely no issue working with us to make everything come together effortlessly. We also got to make our own playlist for pre-ceremony and cocktails! MC Duke even helped my best man drop a huge surprise audio track during his speech — a moment we will never forget. You’ll have a ton of flexibility with setlist options and the dance playlists are absolute bangers. Also definitely ask about his upgrades. We went with CO2 cannons and they were a mega hit with our guests. We genuinely have such gratitude and warmth for Duke and hope to work with him again for future events if we have the chance. “My husband and I got married this past August and I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while but we had a big move and time got away from us. As a wedding vendor myself I know how important it is to have a DJ that can balance fun and professionalism, but Joey Chang did just that. He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. If you want your wedding to be classy, romantic, a total rager, and go off without a hitch, I would highly recommend hiring Cello Joe!”
