We booked Marykate as a day-of coordinator, but she was truly so much more than that. I am an overthinker and chronic stresser, and somehow my wedding day was completely stress-free. She kept every single person on track (vendors, family members, everyone) so neither of us nor our guests had to lift a finger. We all just got to enjoy ourselves and it felt like huge party with no stress. I never had to worry when the next thing would happen on the day-of because I knew Marykate would make sure it happened on time. I didn’t even find out until almost two weeks later that a massive rainstorm caused issues for some of our other vendors because Marykate handled everything so seamlessly and always had backup plans. The rain also threw off our photo schedule, and you never would have known. Marykate and her team were armed with umbrellas (which actually gave us the cutest portraits) and pivoted on a dime to keep the day running smoothly. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the wedding industry, gave excellent vendor recommendations when we asked, knew all the right questions to ask, and kept us on track throughout the entire planning process. Before my wedding, I never would have spent money on a planner if my venue hadn’t required one. Now, I’m shouting Marykate’s name to anyone who even hints that they might be getting married. Highly, HIGHLY recommend.

From ensuring the DJ played the right songs at the right parts to the timeline, to the cocktail hour and reception, and sparkler exit and much much more, like signature drinks and memorial pieces. We texted and spoke daily and she responded so promptly whenever a thought popped in my head. P.S. my officiant was also my good friend and this was his first wedding. We had no idea the parts of the wedding or the ceremony and Rachel helped me keep him on track and even provided a template and reviewed our draft of the ceremony days before. Julie came into our wedding preparation life after I had to let go of our first wedding planner (and let’s just say my spirits were low and some funds were already lost to paying our first vendor who was not a good fit to put it nicely). The universe had thrown us our saving grace in getting Julie as once she was onboard everything fell into place seamlessly. She was born to be planner. Organized, efficient, positive, calm, prepared and professional, Julie helped us achieve the most magical day that we will look back on with fondness for the rest of our lives. We had zero hiccups day of the event and that was thanks to Julie. She handles everything with such grace that even if things were starting to go off track you wouldn’t know as Julie resolves any issues as they arrive like a stealth ninja.  Mind you we were trying to plan a wedding in San Diego while living in Reno in 6 months time since we lost months to the first planner and didn’t have anything to show for it. Also we were planning a full Latin Catholic mads at one location and reception at a second approximately 30 minutes away. We came down 2 times before the event to do tastings and review venue/decor/DJ/photography/videography/florals. Julie made itineraries for us and we knocked one thing off the list after another with ease and smiles. If you are on the fence as to whether you should get a planner or not I will tell you that it is WELL worth it and if you get Julie S. you’ve hit the jackpot. She truly did create The Best Wedding for us and cannot recommend her highly enough.
