Julie Saved our Wedding Day

Julie came into our wedding preparation life after I had to let go of our first wedding planner (and let’s just say my spirits were low and some funds were already lost to paying our first vendor who was not a good fit to put it nicely). The universe had thrown us our saving grace in getting Julie as once she was onboard everything fell into place seamlessly. She was born to be planner. Organized, efficient, positive, calm, prepared and professional, Julie helped us achieve the most magical day that we will look back on with fondness for the rest of our lives. We had zero hiccups day of the event and that was thanks to Julie. She handles everything with such grace that even if things were starting to go off track you wouldn’t know as Julie resolves any issues as they arrive like a stealth ninja. Mind you we were trying to plan a wedding in San Diego while living in Reno in 6 months time since we lost months to the first planner and didn’t have anything to show for it. Also we were planning a full Latin Catholic mads at one location and reception at a second approximately 30 minutes away. We came down 2 times before the event to do tastings and review venue/decor/DJ/photography/videography/florals. Julie made itineraries for us and we knocked one thing off the list after another with ease and smiles. If you are on the fence as to whether you should get a planner or not I will tell you that it is WELL worth it and if you get Julie S. you’ve hit the jackpot. She truly did create The Best Wedding for us and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Julie was the key to making our wedding the best of my life! Because of her, wedding planning was never easier. Over the course of our planning sessions, we just had to let our desires and ideas known and Julie would execute! Her expertise in the San Diego area allowed her to present us multiple vendors at various price points to fit our budget and wishes. Despite my husband and I having three deployments over the course planning, I never once was unable to contact her— no matter my time zone or method of communication! She made it work! The day of my wedding I didn’t do a thing except eat, drink, and be present with my new husband and family, and for that I am entirely grateful! You will not be disappointed, Julie makes miracles happen!

I am a few months late for this review, but any San Diego, CA or Darlington House couples – please read and go ahead and book Julie as your wedding planner/coordinator! Julie is an incredible wedding planner and is responsible for our perfect May 2025 Darlington House wedding. She came recommended from the venue coordinator, Carly, and upon doing my own research, I reached out to her for a preliminary call. She has done hundreds of weddings at Darlington House and it was clear upon the first conversation with her that she knew the venue like the back of her hand. Her experience at the venue is invaluable because of her standing relationship with Carly, all the caterers, and most likely all the other wedding vendors you will plan to use! We happily booked her for month of plus coordination services which was perfect for our needs. Throughout the 14 months of wedding planning, Julie patiently answered all my questions, helped us decide on vendors, and gave us her expert opinion. During our wedding weekend, she was present, organized, and ensured everything went smoothly. I truly felt like I had ZERO worries on our wedding day because Julie was there to coordinate and manage every detail of the day. And if there were any issues on our wedding day, I had no idea! Everything was perfect. And just to share an example of how she went above and beyond for our wedding – my niece’s flower girl basket was left behind at the end of the night and she stopped by our after-party location to ensure that it safely got to us and to share her well wishes. Not so long ago I was a bride to be. I am very hands on and thought i could do my entire wedding and run the day by myself. I am glad I listened to my peers and got someone to help. I scoured the internet and did a ton of research before i came across The best wedding for you. From my experience with Julie i can advise you to look no further. You found your planner and you can stop looking. Julie handled my diverse crowd of personalities, help me with vendors, removed barriers and stressors and put me at ease especially on the day and her efforts BTS. She was very flexible on rehearsal day and the wedding party enjoyed her positive energy!. Thank you Julie for Delivering on my dream wedding!
