Hi, I’m Marykate (or MK) owner and lead planner of Events by Marykate, based right here in the beautiful Tampa Bay area. After over a decade in the event world (corporate and weddings alike!), I launched my planning business to help couples avoid the stress and confusion I personally experienced during my own wedding journey. We'll get on a call to discuss where you currently stand, lay out a timeline, and customize a package based on your specific needs. | This package is perfect for those who want to tackle most of the planning, have their vision in place, a venue booked, and most of their vendors secured. We'll step in a few months before your wedding to get an understanding of all the details, provide recommendations, take over vendor communication and finalize any last-minute logistics. Cannot Recommend Enough! AMAZING
We booked Marykate as a day-of coordinator, but she was truly so much more than that. I am an overthinker and chronic stresser, and somehow my wedding day was completely stress-free. She kept every single person on track (vendors, family members, everyone) so neither of us nor our guests had to lift a finger. We all just got to enjoy ourselves and it felt like huge party with no stress. I never had to worry when the next thing would happen on the day-of because I knew Marykate would make sure it happened on time. I didn’t even find out until almost two weeks later that a massive rainstorm caused issues for some of our other vendors because Marykate handled everything so seamlessly and always had backup plans. The rain also threw off our photo schedule, and you never would have known. Marykate and her team were armed with umbrellas (which actually gave us the cutest portraits) and pivoted on a dime to keep the day running smoothly. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the wedding industry, gave excellent vendor recommendations when we asked, knew all the right questions to ask, and kept us on track throughout the entire planning process. Before my wedding, I never would have spent money on a planner if my venue hadn’t required one. Now, I’m shouting Marykate’s name to anyone who even hints that they might be getting married. Highly, HIGHLY recommend.

Events by Marykate went above and beyond our expectations. From the planning beforehand, to the monthly meetings that offered us wisdom and reassurances. She referred us to some amazing people that helped make my daughter’s wedding absolutely perfect. Marykate is organized, positive and creative. She made a beautiful seating chart that was visually appealing and easy for the guests to read. Marykate and her team made sure everything looked wonderful and was in place; even moving an arch from the ceremony to the reception. We would highly recommend Events by Marykate as a wedding planner. She loves what she does and it shows. We are so grateful for her help in making my daughter’s wedding so beautiful!

Our wedding was a dream, thanks to Marykate’s help!!! Marykate has extensive experience with wedding planning and corporate event planning and offered us great advice along the way. Prior to our wedding, Marykate helped us create the perfect wedding day timeline. She reviewed vendor contracts and provided helpful feedback. Later on, she worked behind-the-scenes to introduce herself and provide vendor timelines to each of our vendors. Additionally, she created both our beautiful welcome sign and seating chart, and skillfully directed our rehearsal ceremony the night before the wedding. Our wedding day was SO relaxing and stress free, knowing that Marykate and her assistant had everything taken care of!! They took care of all of the set-up and coordination with vendors and our venue. They kept us on schedule with our timeline, and they very carefully packaged and stored all of our personal decor and gifts at the end of the night. We truly LOVED working with Marykate and her assistant!!! She devoted so much of her time and energy to make sure that we had the best wedding day possible! We highly recommend her and her team to any couple looking for an excellent wedding planner!

Marykate was by far the BEST investment we made in our wedding planning! So great to work and collaborate with in the months leading up to the wedding. From our first call to the day of the wedding, her positivity, creative ideas, and organizational skills were clear. Throughout the planning process, she put us at ease and helped us to stay on track and organized. She provided invaluable supprt with coordinating with the many vendors and ensuring the day of went seamless. When one vendor was causing some headaches, she took it on so I would be spared from the stress on my wedding day. I highly recommend her and her team to any bride looking for a coordinator.
