As a mom you always want the best for your daughter and I can say this was the best choice we made. From start to finish they were professional but also warm and kind. The photos of her walking down the aisle literally took my breath away, I still cry when I look at them. The video is magical, it showed every hug and laugh, even the silly moments on the dance floor. I love how it captured not just the bride and groom but the whole family, all of us together. It feels like a keepsake for generations to come. I’ve shown it to friends and they said it looks like a fairytale. My husband said he’s never seen me cry that much, but they were happy tears. I am so grateful for the memories they gave us, we will treasure them always.

I would give Linka 20 stars if I could. She is incredibly talented and the entire process was so smooth. I originally saw some of her photos while researching elopement locations on Reddit. New Orleans had been on our list and the photos sealed the deal! She responded to me right away and scheduled a phone call to see if we were a good fit. She also sent us questions to answer about us as a couple, what we were comfortable with, and what exactly we wanted out of our day. The day of the wedding went perfectly. Linka and Eyoel had us walk around the neighborhood after our ceremony and got so many cool shots that we never would have thought of. We couldn’t have asked for better pictures of our elopement! Also, she’s really, really cool.

Our 100 person wedding at Paradigm Gardens in April of 2024 was perfect. For starters, their Private Events Director Karen is unparalleled. Communication was clear and consistent from the very beginning, and we never felt like they were trying to upsell us. As two more laid-back brides, she made sure we didn't overlook any important details. If your food is the most important aspect of your wedding, stop reading this and call Paradigm Gardens to book now. Our budget was fairly limited, but Chef Pat over at Karibu Kitchen (Paradigm Gardens' Catering) made the most of every dollar we spent. The food and bar packages were, hands down, the best we encountered at any venue in New Orleans. We had so much fun designing our custom menu with Chef Pat, and the tasting at Tchoup yard was one of our favorite parts of the planning process. Our family and friends still tell us it was the best food they've ever had at any wedding. The team even went out of their way to make sure our bar included our favorite brand of pickle vodka shots which turned out to be one of the highlights of the night. The location in Central City was perfect. It allowed us to have our rehearsal dinner downtown, and also take our pre-ceremony pictures at Audubon Park without requiring much driving time to and from the venue. The lush garden was more than we could have asked for as a backdrop. We said our vows in a short ceremony then watched the sunset over cocktails and dinner. The jasmine was in full bloom which made for awesome photos. The goats were a big hit with our wedding guests and the outdoor kitchen acted as a sort of fiery centerpiece to the whole evening. We had a local DJ playing New Orleans bounce and spent the majority of the night on the dance floor under the string lights. Without a massive budget, we anticipated having to compromise on a lot of aspects to be able to afford a wedding in New Orleans, but we couldn’t have been more wrong. We will forever be grateful to the folks at Paradigm Gardens for giving us the wedding of our dreams.

EyeLuster Photography

Hi, I’m Natalie, the photographer behind EyeLuster Photography. I’m a New Orleans wedding and portrait photographer focused on natural, polished images with a relaxed and fun experience. With over 10 years of experience photographing weddings, families, and events across the country, I bring a calm, organized approach that helps couples feel comfortable and present on their wedding day.

Working with Natalie at Eye Luster Photography was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to make sure everything felt easy, organized, and genuinely fun instead of stressful. She was incredibly attentive, communicative, and clearly cared about capturing the day in a way that felt authentic to us. What impressed me most was how present she was without ever being intrusive. She somehow managed to anticipate moments before they happened and capture them beautifully. Most of my favorite photos from the entire day are candid moments I didn’t even realize she was photographing—quiet laughs with friends, my family reacting during the ceremony, little in-between moments that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. Those photos ended up framed in our living room because they feel so real. She also made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is no small feat. Even guests commented on how kind and professional she was throughout the day. It felt like she truly cared about telling the story of our wedding, not just checking off a list of poses. When we received our photos, we were blown away. The gallery perfectly captured the energy, emotion, and joy of the day. Looking through them felt like reliving the whole experience. If you're looking for a photographer who is talented, thoughtful, and truly invested in her clients, I cannot recommend her enough.

Hiring Kahlida was one of the best things we did for our wedding and our sanity. My husband and I decided to have a small wedding with immediate family, and we did all of the planning ourselves. We initially thought that we could handle the logistics of that day, but even just booking the vendors started to become overwhelming. We were also planing the wedding from out of town, which sometimes made the planning more complicated. From the moment we had our initial meeting with Kahlida, I knew that she was the coordinator for us. My husband and I are pretty laid back, so we appreciated that she was able to match our energy. She was extremely kind and organized. Working with her kept our planning on track. I also really appreciated that she took the lead on reaching out to our vendors and coordinating with them in the few weeks leading up to our wedding, which is something I know we would have been too overwhelmed to do that close to our wedding. On the actual day, everything ran smoothly. We had limited decor for our ceremony and dinner, but I was impressed by how well she was able to execute my design vision. It was the perfect day, and I know it’s because of all of Kahlida’s hard work.

In the evenings, I turn sugar & flour into sensational works of delicious, edible art. I've been teaching for 11+ years and baking for over 40 years. Both are my passions. The journey has been filled with many sweet successes. I look forward to meeting with you and becoming a part of your beautiful story.

Photography has always been a meaningful part of my life. My dad's photographs hung in my bathroom as a small child, and I often admired them. When my mom would pull down old boxes of photos, I was struck by awe with every flip. By the time I was in high school, I always had a disposable in my pocket. It was so exciting to snap those brief moments. Although I have decades of experience behind the lens, it was not until 2020 that I officially opened by business as a freelancer. I love getting to know others, and am eager to help tell your story.

We were instantly so comfortable with him, and his ease and familiarity with the city made him the perfect scout for great images. We love the pictures -- they totally captured our vibe -- and spending time with Stephen felt like hanging with a fun friend. Everything you could want!

What an absolutely fantastic band! We booked them based off of other reviews since we live out of state. We have zero regrets! We had our wedding in the French Quarter and they played our second line, our ceremony, and the entire reception! We and every single one of our guests had a blast dancing to their music. They played jazz, gospel, and even a killer hava nagila. Rob, the band leader, is also organized, responsive, and communicative, and a super nice guy. The band was also great at corralling the guests (who had never done a 2nd line) and leading them out of the venue to glorious song and music before putting on a heck of a show through the streets of the quarter. We just wish we could have danced all night long to this band’s amazing music.

Hi, I’m Hannah. I’m a lover of art, stories, and spark—the perfect alchemy to creating and capturing all those memory-making, magical moments. Weddings, to me, are about your unique narrative, your origin stories and your threads of connection; the ways in which you’ve woven a love through a tapestry of compassion and inspiration and all that makes you you— both as individuals and as a couple. That’s the fabric of the photo, the material I like to work with; because of this, my photos lean atmospheric and candid.

Hey hey! My name is Jess and I’m the owner and stylist for Jessica Jackson Hair. I always loved styling hair and fell into the wedding industry at the end of 2020 and never looked back. I specialize in clean, romantic updos, party ponys, and glam waves. I highly recommend Jessica! She was kind, professional, and communicated so well throughout the entire process. I ended up completely changing my hairstyle from the trial to wedding day, and Jessica was fantastic with the change and did an amazing job bringing my new vision to life. She collaborated closely with me and talked through the process in a way that made everything feel easy and stress free. My hair does not hold curl well, yet my curls lasted all day through high humidity and an outdoor ceremony. She and her assistant handled an eleven person list with ease and stayed perfectly on schedule. Everyone looked absolutely stunning.

There is a particular kind of evening in New Orleans — when the light goes amber and low, when the iron balconies cast their familiar shadows, and the city feels less like a place and more like a feeling you've been chasing your whole life. That is what we build toward. Reverie & Riot is a luxury celebration design studio rooted in the French Quarter. We take a small number of weddings each year. Our commissions begin at $50,000 — we share this because transparency matters from the very first conversation.

We were late to hiring a wedding planner until about two months out, when I realized I needed some help. Crimson Quarter weddings and events were the first to get back to me quickly , and set up a phone call, where I realized they were gonna be the ones for me. Not only were they extremely communicative, but they took everything that I had for them and and helped us to add a little bit "ourselves" Into the venue space. I gave them our florals and decorations and set them loose to do what they wanted and they knocked it out of the park. I am so thankful for Crimson Quarter, they helped us navigate rallying all of our vendors and communicating our needs, as well as setting up for us on the day of, coordinating different parts of our reception, and cleaning up after it was over. We couldn't have done it without them and I would hire them again for any event in the future if we happen to find ourselves back in New Orleans for anything special

Sydney did such a great job and helped make our wedding day as stress-free as possible. We've often heard from friends that they never got to enjoy their big day and chat with guests, eat their food, or dance. From the day we started working with her, Sydney was determined to make sure that was not the case for us. She helped us develop a timeline that maximized our time with guests and on the dance floor, while still allowing us to have time to ourselves. Sydney helped manage all of the big personalities in our family, which was not an easy task, and made sure that our vision for the day was always top priority.

New Aera is a New Orleans wedding photography studio led by Whit Forrester. We believe wedding photos are heirlooms — archives of the people you love, preserved for generations. With a documentary and editorial eye, we capture the candid, unscripted moments alongside the beautifully composed ones. From intimate French Quarter elopements to grand celebrations, we bring artistry and genuine care to every wedding. Our couples return to their galleries for years, sharing images that go on to other altars, other ceremonies, other lives.

As someone with a photography background, I think the photos are one of the most important parts of a wedding. As someone who is admittedly hard-to-please, I was really nervous that no one would be able to live up to my expectations, but Whit at New Aera did an incredible job! I normally hate the way I look in pictures, but Whit managed to capture the exact moments and angles that made me (and everyone else) look amazing. He has a great sense of composition and lighting, and his style is very editorial/documentary, which I liked. He captured a lot of little moments before and after the wedding - like me putting on the cake-topper or my brother helping take the decorations down after the guests left - and didn't just focus on the "main event." I love that because those moments were kind of a blur at the time, but the pictures help me remember them just as vividly as the moment I said "I do." I can't recommend New Aera highly enough- they are amazing!
