Sidney Donaldson Photography
Rating: 5.0 (42 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $500

I've been shooting weddings for almost 10 years now and love every single one. The love, the joining of 2 people, and the fun of having everyone together. I strive to have every single important moment captured to remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
We knew from the start that our wedding would be a small, intimate affair, and we wanted a photographer who could capture the special moments without being intrusive. Sidney was absolutely perfect! Communication was a breeze. Sidney was always responsive, and they took the time to understand our vision for the day. He arrived early arrived and with an assistant and both blended seamlessly into the background. They captured candid moments of our family and friends, as well as some beautiful posed portraits. We received the sneek peak very quickly and the only "hard part" is picking from all the many photos to move on to the final gallery!

Adam and the Two Bites team were fantastic! My partner and I asked Adam to cater our wedding after having his food from his popups and other events around New Orleans. He was incredibly professional, kind, communicative, and sensitive to our budget. The food was beyond amazing and everyone was raving about it - we had an appetizer station and buffet inside, as well as a charbroiled oyster station outside. It was a lot to keep up with, but no one was ever waiting for replenishments. The team boxed up leftovers for late night snacks as well, which were devoured by the time the party was over. 10/10 would recommend!

  • Starts at $450

What some of you may or may not know is that I have two superpowers. During the day, I teach middle school English Language Arts. In the evenings, I turn sugar & flour into sensational works of delicious, edible art. I've been teaching for 11+ years and baking for over 40 years. Both are my passions. As much joy as I get out of teaching, baking is the icing on the cake! About 11 years ago, I turned my hobby baking into a "side hustle" that grew into a thriving business. The journey has been filled with many sweet successes. I look forward to meeting with you and becoming a part of your beautiful story.

Working with Sensational Sugah was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Her communication style was easy, quick, and detailed, which put us at ease throughout the planning process. The quality of her work and value was exceptional, going above and beyond our expectations. Sensational Sugah took the time to get to know us, ensuring that the details were perfect for our special day. We opted into a tasting in advance, and the care she took in the preparation and presentation was truly remarkable. For our nearly 100 guests Sensational Sugah created our main cake (two cake flavors with a buttercream icing), a suprise carrot groom's cake, and two smaller dessert options that truly wowed our guests!

Stephen Lomonaco Photography

  • Starts at $3,000

Photography has always been a meaningful part of my life. My dad's photographs hung in my bathroom as a small child, and I often admired them. When my mom would pull down old boxes of photos, I was struck by awe with every flip. By the time I was in high school, I always had a disposable in my pocket. It was so exciting to snap those brief moments. Although I have decades of experience behind the lens, it was not until 2020 that I officially opened by business as a freelancer. I love getting to know others, and am eager to help tell your story.

He had a super chill vibe that instantly put us at ease. The quality of his work was beyond exceptional and the photos he delivered captured all the special moments and memories of our big day, and he even went above and beyond our shot list to deliver amazing shots we didn't even know we wanted. Stephen was so wonderful that our whole family and all our guests absolutely fell in love with him. He handled everything with such grace and professionalism, which allowed us to just relax and enjoy our wedding day. We couldn't be happier with the photos and the experience of working with Stephen Lomonaco Photography!

His diverse experience and fun loving character helps drive the focus of Sunny Side while still allowing time for several other music projects.

What an absolutely fantastic band! We booked them based off of other reviews since we live out of state. We have zero regrets! We had our wedding in the French Quarter and they played our second line, our ceremony, and the entire reception! We and every single one of our guests had a blast dancing to their music. They played jazz, gospel, and even a killer hava nagila. Rob, the band leader, is also organized, responsive, and communicative, and a super nice guy. The band was also great at corralling the guests (who had never done a 2nd line) and leading them out of the venue to glorious song and music before putting on a heck of a show through the streets of the quarter. We just wish we could have danced all night long to this band’s amazing music.

Hi, I’m Hannah. I’m a lover of art, stories, and spark—the perfect alchemy to creating and capturing all those memory-making, magical moments. Weddings, to me, are about your unique narrative, your origin stories and your threads of connection; the ways in which you’ve woven a love through a tapestry of compassion and inspiration and all that makes you you— both as individuals and as a couple. That’s the fabric of the photo, the material I like to work with; because of this, my photos lean atmospheric and candid.

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Hannah was so easy, and the photos from our wedding were exactly what I wanted. I really wanted to maximize the amount of time I spent enjoying my wedding and guests, and Hannah's style was perfect for this – we got our posed portraits done quickly, and the rest of the time she was able to capture what was actually taking place at the wedding. In terms of pre-wedding prep, we met once before I signed the contract and then again about a month before the wedding to nail down details. Hannah was very communicative throughout the whole process, and she turned around 25 beautiful pictures within a week of the wedding for us to share around. I just got 200 more pictures back, and they are stunning. Hannah is such a talent, and I highly recommend her.

Thank you, NOLA Dukes Band. From the very first note of cocktail hour to the last song of the night, you set the tone for our entire wedding in a way we will never forget. The music, the energy, the flow it was all perfection. You handled everything seamlessly: ceremony music, our officiant’s mic, the uplighting throughout the venue (which meant so much to us), and the overall pacing of the night. Every transition felt intentional and effortless, and our guests felt it. Randi — you are truly something special. From our very first conversation, you were thoughtful, thorough, and genuinely invested in getting to know us as a couple. Your guidance on music flow and how to get people on the dance floor was spot-on, and your voice… unreal. We are still getting messages from guests telling us how incredible the music was. Ending the night with a DJ in the carriage house was the perfect twist and such a fun way to close out the celebration. We couldn’t have imagined a better experience. Thank you for bringing the magic, the soul, and the party. We’re forever grateful. Much love, Rachel & Jake Dobry

Faces of Virtue Beauty Studio
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Beauty professional

Faces of Virtue Beauty Studio was founded by DeQuindra "Dee" Rouzan in 2006. Dee is a licensed cosmetologist who specializes in multi-cultural hair and makeup. Dee's passion for the beauty industry began long before her career. At the tender age of 12, Dee fell in love with the “beauty” of hair and makeup. From the intoxicating aroma of her favorite lipstick brand to the placement of the last hairpin, Dee is extremely passionate and an expert in the industry. Dee and her team specialize in delivering and executing luxury beauty enhancement experiences for you and your bridal party.

Dee from Faces of Virtue was one of the best vendor decisions I made for my wedding. I specifically needed a hair and makeup artist experienced with curly hair and women of color, and my planner recommended Dee. From our very first conversation, she was warm, responsive, professional, calm, and genuinely hilarious - the perfect energy during the wedding planning process. My HMU trial blew me away. We wrapped at 1pm CT, I flew home to Los Angeles, and my makeup had not moved when 10pm PT rolled around. That’s when I knew I was in the best hands. On the wedding day, Dee brought two additional artists to take care of my mom and matron of honor. Dee focused on me while Maitee (and another lovely artist whose name we sadly didn’t catch) took incredible care of them. We had so much fun getting ready together, and by the end, we all looked, and felt, absolutely beautiful. For those who don’t know, Dee does the Saints’ cheerleaders makeup and travels the country teaching airbrush techniques. She has a deep well of experience and an incredible eye. I felt confident, radiant, and completely myself. I cannot recommend Dee and the Faces of Virtue team enough. If you want artistry, professionalism, and a genuinely joyful presence on your wedding day, book them!

New Aera Wedding Photography
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Photographer
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,500

New Aera is a New Orleans wedding photography studio led by Whit Forrester. We believe wedding photos are heirlooms — archives of the people you love, preserved for generations. With a documentary and editorial eye, we capture the candid, unscripted moments alongside the beautifully composed ones. From intimate French Quarter elopements to grand celebrations, we bring artistry and genuine care to every wedding. Our couples return to their galleries for years, sharing images that go on to other altars, other ceremonies, other lives.

As someone with a photography background, I think the photos are one of the most important parts of a wedding. As someone who is admittedly hard-to-please, I was really nervous that no one would be able to live up to my expectations, but Whit at New Aera did an incredible job! I normally hate the way I look in pictures, but Whit managed to capture the exact moments and angles that made me (and everyone else) look amazing. He has a great sense of composition and lighting, and his style is very editorial/documentary, which I liked. He captured a lot of little moments before and after the wedding - like me putting on the cake-topper or my brother helping take the decorations down after the guests left - and didn't just focus on the "main event." I love that because those moments were kind of a blur at the time, but the pictures help me remember them just as vividly as the moment I said "I do." I can't recommend New Aera highly enough- they are amazing!
