We recently had our wedding at The Meadows on Rock Creek Event Barn, and experienced a great deal of attentiveness from the staff which made us feel really supported throughout our wedding weekend. They were available and on-site the day-of and ensured everything went smoothly which was a big weight off of our shoulders. The ceremony site is absolutely breathtaking with a lot of natural beauty and the inside of the barn is really unique with elevated detail and matches the overall feel of the area perfectly. We had such a positive experience at this venue and are so grateful for the staff's dedication and the beauty of the building/space itself. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a very memorable place to celebrate their special day!

Star Meadows Ranch was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the very first interaction, the communication with their team was prompt, comprehensive, and consistent. The quality of their work and value they provided was simply stunning. The venue was comfortable, spacious, and thoughtful - our guests had everything they needed throughout the weekend and on our special day. The wedding coordinator was fantastic, and Sam, the owner, was incredibly helpful, allowing us to visit the venue multiple times and coordinating all the details from our welcome day through check out. Weddings can be so stressful, but having Sam, who owns and manages the property, readily available to provide recommendations on local vendors and attractions was a game-changer, especially for our destination wedding. The Copper K Barn

5.0

Whitehall, MT
  • Up to 280 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

The Copper K Barn is a beautiful barn that was built in the late 1800's for mining and was later used by my family for ranching. For a few months out of the year it is able to be transformed into a beautiful venue that offers people a majestic and spiritual atmosphere to celebrate love and life under God's prime Montana sky.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Space for a large guest list
  • Offers full flexibility in setup and decor
  • Wheelchair accessible

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Additional event staff required
  • No venue-provided food services
As a caterer I have catered many events out at the Copper K Barn. It is one of my favorite places to cater weddings. The barn is great for small and large events and the grounds are beautiful as well as the views. When it came time to book my daughter's wedding there was no question that we would book with Lacee at the Copper K. The barn and the area surrounding the barn made a beautiful backdrop for pictures and we had plenty of room for our guests. Quite a few of the guests were able to take advantage of the camping, as well as close by airbnds. Lacee is so easy to work with and makes sure that you have what you need to make your event perfect. She has a great list of vendors that do numerous events each year out at the barn, which makes it wonderful for making your day special. I would definitely recommend booking your wedding at the Copper K, you will not be disappointed!

I would HIGHLY recommend Summer Star Ranch for your wedding venue, especially for destination weddings! Starr, Matt, and Alex were amazing to work with and made all our wedding dreams come true! I cannot put into words how grateful I am for all the hard work they did organizing and planning our special day. From the moment you book with Starr and her team, you can tell how much they love the work they do and how dedicated they are to making your wedding as stress free as possible while focusing on making it the most perfect day for you and all your guest! My husband and I had our destination wedding at Summer Star and did not get a chance to visit Montana prior to our wedding and due to work and our busy schedules. With all our friends and family traveling in from out of state, we were super stressed about planning and making sure our guests had all the information they needed before flying out. Not only did Starr and her team assist with contacting vendors and the wedding coordination, Starr also went above and beyond and put together a travel itinerary to put on our website and share with guests. Every detail was covered- from where to fly into depending on how long guests were visiting Montana, what hotels to stay at, things to do in Montana and near Helena, etc. We wanted our guests to not only enjoy the wedding, but experience Montana! Most, if not all our guests, planned their trip using the suggestions made by Starr and could not stop talking about how much fun they had! We had both our welcome party and wedding ceremony/reception at Summer Star, and you can tell this is a team of professionals. Every detail of our wedding weekend was perfect! I am so grateful for Starr’s attention to detail and truly capturing the vision I had in mind. Planning a destination wedding was stressful, but with the help of Starr my worries were quickly eased- she was quick to respond to all my emails and made time to hop on a call when needed. Starr made excellent recommendations for food, desserts, florals, drinks, DJ, and transportation that perfectly fit our budget. They had everything set up and were quick to adjust with any last-minute thoughts or details we wanted. The venue space is something out of a fairy tale. No matter where you are on the ranch, the views are simply breathtaking, and photos of this place do not do it justice! They also have a bonfire right outside the barn which allowed our guests to mingle away from the party or warm up due to the dropping temperatures at night. If I had to do my wedding again, I would book here in a heart beat!

The Meadows on Rock Creek lets you say "I do" in fields dotted with wildflowers while Sage Lodge positions your ceremony against the stunning panorama of Emigrant Peak and the Yellowstone River. What makes Montana venues truly special is how they seamlessly blend natural beauty with western heritage, creating spaces where your love story unfolds beside alpine lakes or under that legendary big sky Montana is famous for.
