About this venue

Watch the sun come up over the glorious Swan Range and set behind the spectacular Mission Mountains. Drink in the vast moonlit sky with stars so bright they seem close enough to touch. Feel the soft caress of a warm breeze and listen to the melody as it blows through groves of cottonwood, pine, and tamarack. Wet a fly in the babbling stream, stroll in lush meadows, or blaze new trails through the forest. Along the way, keep an eye out for eagles, deer, elk, and bears. These are just a few of the wild critters and creatures that call Oro Ranch home. Start the best time of your life with an intimate wedding or elopement at Oro Ranch. An idyllic landscape of meadowland, mountains, and forests provides a storybook backdrop for saying "I do" and plenty of space for a festive, post-nuptials party. When it's time to relax, enjoy the rustic elegance and easy comfort of our lodge and cabins.

    Incredible Venue

From the moment we reached out to Oro Ranch MT, Deb responded quickly and with such kindness that we knew we'd found our venue. Her communication throughout the planning process was smooth and helpful, making everything feel effortless. The ranch itself is breathtaking, the natural landscape provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception without needing much decoration. Deb clearly cares about every detail and went out of her way to make our day special. We can't recommend Oro Ranch MT enough to couples looking for a genuine, beautiful venue!

    The dreamiest venue!

We got married at Oro Ranch in June 2026 and we genuinely couldn’t recommend it more highly. We had been searching around the Mountain West for an intimate wedding venue that would allow us to unplug from daily life and really connect with our guests for a weekend and share our love of the outdoors with them. After struggling for a few months to find anything that felt right, as soon as we got to Deb and Andy’s home we knew that this was where we wanted to get married. The scenery and surroundings are spectacular. Panoramic views of the Swans to the east and the Missions to the west make you feel like you are truly immersed in the beauty of the Montana wilderness. It was such a joy to watch the deer grazing in the meadow in the morning, catch the alpenglow on the Swans in the evenings, and soaki in the stars around the fire pit at night. The lodge and the cabins are decorated with so much care, and they are equipped with everything you might need and more. They have filled their home with thoughtful touches and it strikes the perfect balance of rustic charm and luxury comfort. We are fortunate to have been to a lot of beautiful places, and Oro Ranch is right up there. Deb and Andy were such a pleasure to work with - kind, compassionate, truly good people who genuinely want their guests to have the time of their lives and are willing to make you feel as though their home is your own in order to make that happen. They truly exceeded any of our expectations and went above and beyond to help us bring our vision of our wedding to life , and it was such a pleasure to get to know them. Oro Ranch is truly a magical, one-of-a-kind place. No need to keep looking, just get married here.

Everyone who sees your wedding pictures say, "I want to be friends with these people." What a FUN, intentional and beautiful wedding weekend. We are so lucky you chose Oro Ranch! You are such top shelf people in every way. Thank you for making Montana your second home.

Stunning Views and 5 Star Accommodations

Oro Ranch is one of those venues that you dream about but don't think actually exist. As a destination wedding planner that has visited and planned weddings all over the world, I can confidently say that Oro Ranch is truly something special. The grounds represent Montana in its most perfect form with sweeping grass fields and dramatic mountain landscapes. The ranch, cabins, and tent are beautifully decorated and stocked with all the amenities you'd expect in a 5 star accommodation. Every detail is thoughtful. The location is secluded yet obtainable. Hospitality is attentive yet relaxed. And the vibe is luxurious yet approachable. Oro Ranch is the perfect foundation to create intimate multi-day mountain celebrations that create immersive guest experiences. I can't wait to return to Oro Ranch to coordinate another memorable wedding.

    BLOWN AWAY!

From our first conversation with Deb, my husband and I knew we had found our venue. I had chills speaking to her about our shared vision of what weddings are meant to be and felt like I was speaking to a long time friend. Deb, herself, is one of the biggest contributing factors to us deciding on Oro Ranch. Her communication, attention to detail, and of course, her style are unmatched in the venue industry. The property itself is unbeatable- the photos do it no justice. Tucked away in the mountains- private, untouched, and surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. The home is decorated in the perfect mix of Montana cabin with the elegance of Pendleton. Each room is curated to a specific design, has high end luxury bedding, and most of them include a private restroom. The kitchen is equipped with any and all necessary tools. Deb has also a collection of wedding essentials that made it the perfect one stop shop for us. We hosted 38 people for our ceremony and reception- her property had everything we needed. From tables and chairs, to flatware and chargers (which she offered to paint a specific color to match our theme), some decorations, and all the needs for our caterer. We are so thankful we stumbled across Oro Ranch. Our guests said it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever been to

    Deborah CarstensenJul 14, 2026

Your wedding was exactly the model Oro Ranch is perfect for. Non production, simply beautiful, intentional, effortless, organic and FUN. I am so happy you chose Oro Ranch! The best thing about owning a venue is the relationships you create. You guys are the BEST!

    Amazing Venue!!

Working with Oro Ranch MT has been a genuine pleasure from start to finish. Deb responds quickly to every question and her guidance made planning seamless. What really stands out is how immaculate they keep the property—every detail is thoughtfully stocked and maintained, which made hosting 40 guests for an entire weekend wedding incredibly smooth. They ensured we had everything on hand to deliver an exceptional experience. This is hands down the most beautiful venue I've ever worked at, and that level of care shows in every corner. I'd recommend Oro Ranch MT to any couple looking for Montana's best!

This was such a special wedding. Such a lovely couple (inside and out). Their friends and family are a true class act. Thank you for your part in flawlessly executing this intimate wedding. We look forward to working with you again! I would recommend you 100 percent!

Three full days. Check in and check out are both at noon, unless other arrangements have been made.
Come north on Hwy 83. After you pass Mile Marker 41, you’ll cross Cooney Creek and shortly afterwards take a right onto Cooney Creek Road. About a quarter mile the road will bend to the right. Take Flint Ridge Road and you’ll come up through a gate on our neighbor’s property. You’ll come up past his barn on the left and house on the right. Continue and at the end of his field there is a fork in the road, go right. Keep coming up the road and at the top of a small hill, you’ll see another sign for “Oro”. You are now on the ranch property. Keep coming up the road and you'll dead end at the Lodge. Park by the barn.
We only rent the ranch for three day wedding weekends.
