“Mariela was so amazing to work with! She was kind, listened to our wants and needs, and even took on the challenge of doing a cake design she hadn’t done before, for our wedding! We ordered a small, tiered wedding cake along with a few dozen cupcakes for our guests and everything was delicious!! We had chocolate and vanilla and Oreo flavors and everyone loved it all! She even made us a batch of different flavors to try for tasting and they were all so good, it was hard to decide! But we are so happy with our final decision on the cake and even happier with how beautiful it turned out! Her pricing was more than fair and the cakes were more than scrumptious! Thank you, Mariela!”

Chill Lil’s

“Chills was the star of the show at the High Desert Bocce Tournament in Pioneertown! Lil has such fun, positive energy, and her ice cream truck was the perfect addition to a hot desert day. The s’mores ice cream bar was incredible — vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate, rolled in graham cracker, topped with marshmallow, and torched right in front of you for that crispy brûléed top. She also had refreshing lemon sorbet served in lemon rinds and nostalgic cherry-pineapple bomb pops. The whole setup is super cute, polished, and thoughtfully designed with a vintage red, white and blue ice cream-shop vibe. Such a fun experience, and I really hope to see Chills at more events soon. I’m already ready for another s’mores bar!”

Piece Of Cake, L.A.

“I love Bloomfield Creamery and have been enjoying a split single scoop of Coffee and Vanilla once a week for the past 2 years. Only thing better than the ice cream is the service. Love the teams they have at both shops!”

I always say that I was born in Cleveland and raised in my mom's kitchen. After completing the pastry program at Le Cordon Bleu, I worked at SusieCakes and taught classes at The Gourmandise School before deciding to open my own business! My mom Gail started her baking business, Piece of Cake, in 1963 so it's only fitting that she is the face of my business. I want to pay homage to the business she started years ago by baking for all who appreciate and understand that the brilliance of the perfectly satisfying dessert is the company you eat it with. Piece of Cake LA is that homey tastes-like-mom's flavor, with a modern twist.

“I was looking for a sweet treat as a late night snack on my wedding day and to surprise my husband, when I came across Batter Bites. It seemed so perfect as my husband loves breakfast foods anytime of the day, any day! And they were perfect. From the moment I messaged them, the owner, Joe, was quick to respond and very clear in communication. He gave me my options and even worked with me when I asked for specialty toppings and we created my wedding day combination. Everything is so fresh and clean and delicious. Joe and his team were very well organized and on top of their stuff. They all knew what they were doing and even when rushed with wedding guests, were quick, put together, and the smile never disappears off their faces. All my guests were raving about them and asking me for their info. Of course I was excited to share them. I will definitely be contacting them for all my parties and events. Thank you Joe and Batter Bites, looking forward to working with you for a very long time.”
