Avon Hill is a laid back, luxurious wedding and vacation destination in central Virginia. Camp Holiday Trails is a beautiful 70+ acre nonprofit camp located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Open year-round, we engage children and teens with medical needs. Special event and wedding rentals support our inspiring mission. Many joyful, loving, fun and playful weddings have taken place with us and the wedding weekend with lodging is a favorite "wedding destination" package of choice.

The Carolyn Baldwin Lake Pavilion is named after our dear loved one, Carolyn Varner Baldwin, who unexpectedly passed away in 2008 due to an allergic reaction. She was the matriarch of our family and a beautiful, one-in-a-billion type of person with a generous and loving spirit. She was a talented gardener, a devoted fisherwoman who could out-fish the best of 'em (we're talking "sun-up-til-sundown" kind of fishing), was creative and artsy, and never knew a stranger. We felt it only fitting to name this lovely place in her memory. We are a family-operated business. Joanna is the General Manager and works with each client to accommodate varying event needs. She handles a wide range of aspects of the business, from answering questions about what will make your event run smoothly to giving you layout suggestions. She has worked with over 200 wedding & event clients over the last 10 years and has learned quite a bit about weddings & event planning through her experiences.

Set on Grelen Nursery's 600-acre tree nursery, The Market at Grelen is a magical wedding venue boasting rural simplicity at it’s most luxurious! It has gorgeous 360-degree views and was lovingly designed to emphasize the surrounding natural beauty. Perfect for the creative party planner, The Market at Grelen has a variety of event spaces: a greenhouse, a shade garden & berry field, a large bluestone terrace, a 4500 sq. ft. clear stargazing tent and a groomed pasture at the highest point of the nursery. ​Located in Central Virginia (only 35 minutes north of Charlottesville, one hour west of Richmond and two hours south of DC), it is PERFECT VENUE for a variety of celebrations. From a greenhouse that can house 130+ for your reception, to a 250 year old oak tree to be married under, Avonlea Farms has you set for a unique venue. We love hosting your special day and try to make every detail shine for you - from a bridal suite and groom's cottage to get ready in to a golf cart crew that drives you and your guests around the property. We will do everything in our power to make sure you have a fantastic day!

Our waterfront reception space offers a picturesque setting for events, featuring a covered raised slate and brick terrace as an elegant outdoor ballroom. The space is equipped with chandeliers, ambient lighting, and heated/air-conditioned indoor dining area with fireplace. We can accommodate up to 150 guests and offer amenities such as picnic grounds, walking trails, a playground, and white sand beach. Perfect for weddings, reunions, corporate outings, and other celebrations.

Couples can host a gorgeous outside ceremony on the concrete patio, or opt for a covered pavilion ceremony. The pavilion is open on three sides to bring the beautiful scenery indoors, but the sides and barn-style doors can be closed in the event of inclement weather. Inside the pavilion, lighting is provided by lanterns and chandeliers, and a large hand-crafted fireplace takes spotlight, with rocks from the farm incorporated into its design. The outdoor patio is attached to the pavilion, creating an extra space that can be used for a ceremony, reception area, or dance floor. A second pavilion was completed in 2018 to provide reception space that is separate from the ceremony site, but within close proximity. This pavilion is completely enclosed and offers a gas fireplace as well as lanterns and chandeliers for lighting. As wedding guests arrive, wedding parties can use the bridal suite to get ready.

We are a completely solar system venue, so not having power the day of your wedding will not be an issue. We offer multiple scenes for your pictures from open fields, apple orchard, pond, beach area, a creek, and woods. So much to choose from. We love hosting wedding and events for others and building lasting relationships.
