Located in scenic Palmyra, Virginia, the Barns at Layz S Ranch is a simply elegant, rustic farm wedding venue. With over 300 acres of working farmland as our backdrop, couples can host their wedding ceremony, reception, or elopement, as well as their bridal shower, engagement party, or rehearsal dinner at the facility. The potential settings are endless with both indoor and outdoor event spaces, featuring a wooden wedding arbor, an expansive patio, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Picturesque photos can be taken next to the pond and wooden bridge, with the rolling country hills providing a perfect backdrop.

The handcrafted farm tables and benches, made by Layz S Ranch owner Greg using locally sourced materials, are available for your use, adding an authentic touch to your event decor. The Pavilion is an ideal setting for a wedding, reception, or rehearsal dinner, comfortably accommodating up to 100 people. With its rustic elegance and natural charm, The Pavilion at Layz S Ranch provides the perfect backdrop for creating unforgettable memories.

    What a spectacular venue! We could not have asked for a better location for our wedding. We toured 2 other spots and the moment we walked into the reception barn at Layz S Ranch we knew it was the spot for us. The ability to use the venue from Friday – Sunday was an amazing perk. It allowed us to comfortably set up for the wedding day as well as host our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and welcome party all in the same location. The Sclaters were incredibly helpful, responsive, and kind throughout the entire process leading up to and during the wedding. We were lucky that we had a sunny and 70 degree day in November but even if the weather hadn’t cooperated with us the interior of the venue is a wonderful option. We also loved and utilized the unique spacing of the venue. We were able to have dinner and dancing in the reception barn and then have tables, the photo booth, and a fire going in the ceremony barn for guests who wanted a more relaxed space. We highly highly recommend using Layz S Ranch (if you can even get on their schedule!) Their hospitality and location made our wedding dream a reality!

    We absolutely loved this venue. Working w Pam was very easy. The ability to get in the set up the day before was a lifesaver. I would highly recommend this venue. Only downside is there's no way to heat up food and no ice on site. We made it work and would recommend Lazy Z Ranch to anyone. Thank you!!!!
