If I could leave ten stars I would! We had a last minute need for a photographer after our plans changed for our wedding. With about two months before our wedding we contacted Crystal Images about a photographer. We were assigned Leah. She was GREAT. She obviously has a ton of experience with weddings. She was super easy to work with, was very personable and her photos were amazing. She snapped so many great candids and she was easy to understand when directing all eleven of us. Not an easy undertaking. I just can’t say enough about her and this company. The contract was very clear and easy to understand. We always knew what was happening from the initial consultation to the day we received our photos. I HIGHLY recommend Crystal Images for your wedding photography needs. They have several different packages and nothing is too small. We had a pretty small gathering and there was a package that was perfect for us and our budget. I booked her for a slot of time instead of a full day. She was hard to get ahold of. The day of she acted like she’d rather be somewhere else and seemed annoyed. On top of that she ran out of ideas for what to photograph. And I also had to suggest stuff and felt like I had to guide the whole experience after she ran out of ideas. It was really disappointing. As a bride I felt it was really unprofessional to tell a bride you don’t know what else to do when there’s still time left in the contracted hours. That put the decision making on me. I hired you to handle the photos not make me have to chose locations for photos and poses after you ran out of ideas. I was already stressed that day as it was. On top of that I had a bad eczema flare up on my hands and I was shocked when it wasn’t edited out at all. I still think of it years later. And if you see the other low review you can see how she responds to criticism. Very unprofessional.

We had a great experience with Crystal Image Photography and we are so happy with our photos. Crystal was booked on the day of our wedding so one of her associate photographers, Leah, shot the photos, and then Crystal and her team edited them. Leah was fantastic to work with and the photo gallery turned out great. We also ordered several prints and they look fantastic in person, too. We especially appreciated (1) Her ability to adapt her services to our needs and budget, offering different lengths of coverage (6 hours, 8 hours, etc) and other modifications to fit what we wanted; (2) The clarity on her website that she works in Central VA and that she is LGBT friendly, which helped us know it might be a good fit; (3) The gallery was sent to us right when she had promised, despite the fall being a very busy wedding season in VA. My only caveat is that sometimes Crystal was not super quick to respond over email, but again, fall is a very busy season for weddings here so I understand. Overall we got tremendous value for our money and we are so happy to have such beautiful photos to document our special day.
