Highly Recommend - Beautiful and Seamless!
My now-husband and I actually booked this venue sight unseen and I couldn't be happier with our decision. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of, and OFW at Hartland played such a huge role in making it so special. The "virtual tour" online was so helpful and very accurate. When I first visited in person, I was pleased to see that it looked just like the pictures online - even more beautiful in person! We had 50 guests and this venue felt like the perfect fit for that size, but it could absolutely accommodate a much larger wedding. I didn't hire a planner, I planned it myself, so it was very nice to have day-of coordinators as part of the package. I initially spoke with Sarah P., Director of Sales & Ops and she was very friendly, welcoming, and informative. I then worked closely with event coordinator Jamie R. leading up to the wedding. She was so helpful in answering questions, accommodating during our walkthroughs, and a HUGE help day-of. Caroline J. was our second day-of coordinator and was also very kind, helpful, and on top of everything. They made sure everything ran smoothly (setting up centerpieces, guest book table, signage, seating chart, etc.) so I didn't have to worry about any of that before the ceremony. The property is absolutely stunning, with beautiful vineyard views, gorgeous landscaping, and so many picture-perfect locations for photos. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the venue was. It's incredibly well maintained and has such a welcoming, elegant atmosphere while still feeling relaxed and comfortable. The manor house has a beautiful get-ready room for the bridal party, another for the groom/groomsmen, and multiple other sitting rooms. The manor and pavilion are conveniently close to one another, so guests were able to easily transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner/reception. There is also tons of parking available. As I mentioned, each staff member was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. They were professional, kind, and genuinely cared about making sure everything went smoothly. Having a team that was so organized and responsive made the entire experience much less stressful. They were also proactive in communicating a rain plan with me the week of the wedding. Fortunately, the rain held off and we were able to have our ceremony outside, but transitioning into the pavilion works as a perfect rain plan if needed. We truly couldn't have chosen a better venue. If you're looking for a beautiful winery with amazing scenery, a wonderful team, and a place that will make your wedding unforgettable, I can't recommend Old Farm Winery at Hartland enough. We will always cherish the memories we made there.

Our May 2025 wedding - a fantastic day!
Having just passed our one year anniversary, we are beyond thrilled at the lifelong memory we created having our wedding at Old Farm Winery! From our first site visit on a rainy, December day, we knew the space would be beautiful for a spring wedding. Right away, we felt the space would perfectly capture our vision while also being the perfect size for our day. Caroline and her team were extremely communicative and worked hard to appreciate the aspects that made our wedding unique. Plus, we really valued having the whole side of the property to ourselves the entire day - something other wineries can’t provide. Some notes about how we used the space: The upstairs rooms were perfect for getting ready (the bridesmaids added on morning hours to get ready on-site), and the porch was the ideal space for our first look! Our Wedding Party also fit perfectly into a first floor room for our Ketubah signing ceremony. At our 60-day walkthrough, Caroline and her team presented a few options for our ceremony layout - We loved having our ceremony facing the big tree. Caroline and her team were also flexible accommodating our homemade Chuppah. We had to have a band play our reception (we loved Bachelor Boys!), and having a band, buffet and 12 10-person tables was the right amount for the space. We opted against a defined dance floor and didn’t miss it at all. Miscellaneous thoughts: Old Farm is drone-approved, and our videographer captured gorgeous scenic shots of the property! We chose one of the suggested caterers. Double check they have a license to serve in Virginia, otherwise they can walk you through the one-day licensing process to purchase drinks and have them serve on your behalf. Busses transporting guests might suggest multiple, smaller seaters to best navigate the parking lot. We had 3 34-seat busses instead of 2 55-seaters. Additionally, the venue does not allow open flames at all (even under glass votives), so we used flameless votives. The wine is delicious, and we had no trouble hitting our minimum! We had a beautiful wedding our family and friends are still talking about. Our guests had so much fun, and we felt at ease planning the day of our lives knowing the staff at Old Farm was professional, kind and on-top-of every aspect of our day. We intentionally chose a venue we could come back to in future years, and look forward to future trips to the Old Farm tasting room. One additional note: my out-of-town parents flew in for New Years leading up to our May wedding and visited the property unannounced the following day. The staff warmly gave them a private tour of the entire space and a drink in the tasting room. My parents loved the first-class, gracious service, which helped confirm to my wife and I that we made the right choice.

From the moment we arrived at The Old Farm Winery at Hartland, Jamie and her team made us feel like we were in good hands. She brought so much heart to every detail, and you could tell she genuinely cared about making our day special. The venue itself is an absolute dream—it felt magical from start to finish, and the team had everything perfectly in place before we even got there. Throughout the event, Jamie and her staff were supportive and kind, handling every moment with such grace. They proved they can pull off a beautiful wedding no matter the weather, and their commitment to excellence made our celebration feel truly dreamy. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Perfect venue for our winery wedding!
We LOVED hosting our wedding at Old Farm Winery at Hartland! It stood out from other winery/vineyard venues in the area because it was a working, family-owned winery that makes GREAT wine, had an amazing staff that promptly answered all of our questions and worked with our other vendors easily, and had a very strong rain option. The venue also provided a lot of flexibility-- we could pick from several preferred caterers and had complete flexibility on all other vendors, and while all of our wine came from the winery, we were able to bring our own beer and liquor. Multiple people have commented since the wedding how much they loved the wine! In terms of the venue itself, we loved that there were several ceremony locations to choose from-- we got married in March (discounted, off-season winery venue season), but we were able to get married in front of a lovely old tree instead of facing the not-yet-blooming vines. The wrap-around porch of the manor was the perfect all-weather cocktail hour location, and having access to the rest of the house was perfect for getting ready photos in the afternoon and anyone who needed a break at any point. The groomsmen in particular loved the space to just chat and hang out while having some whiskey and sparkling wine, as well as the parents who were waiting for photos! The reception hall was gorgeous and had plenty of room for our 135 guests. It required no additional decoration for it have a full wedding look, and many guests commented on how lovely the space was! We loved how spacious the bar was and its proximity to the dancefloor! Our provided day-of coordinator was amazing at our walk through two months before the wedding, helping us think through details that never would have occurred to us. They were able to accommodate a rehearsal on site the day before the wedding, and we honestly don't know how we would have done it off site because the coordinator was so, so helpful getting everyone organized and explaining what we actually needed to walk through. The day of, we had big dreams of being overly involved, but honestly everything kept just magically happening around us exactly as we wanted it done and without us having to say or do anything-- so we could just focus on tying the knot!

Gorgeous
We had our wedding at OFW in September and it was incredible. The venue is gorgeous. We love that it felt intimate while having a different place to have each part of the day. The getting ready rooms in the manor are beautiful. We did our ceremony under the big tree and it was a beautiful backdrop and offered some shade. Cocktail hour on the wrap around porch is the perfect vibe. The pavilion is great for dinner and dancing! We had a pretty small wedding, around 60 guests, and were worried that most venues would feel too big, but OFW felt just right. The property, landscaping, and buildings are lovely in person and photograph so well. The best part of this venue is the people that work there. Every person we talked to was so kind and helpful. We had two day-of coordinators provided by the venue, Caroline and Mary Adeline, and they were phenomenal. We did not hire an outside planner or coordinator, but those two took care of everything and kept the whole day running so smoothly. They were truly a joy to work with, we are so grateful to them.
