They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band. “What else can we say about DJ Obie? In our wedding planning we requested to have him as our DJ. I had mutual friends from college that knew him and had attended teacher trainings with his significant other. We were told we *might have him as our DJ but our purchase level wouldn’t guarantee it. We were so fortunate to realize we did in fact have him as our DJ. Even throughout the cocktail hour he was lively and entertaining guests. As the reception began, the power/sound went out multiple times, and he powered through. I truly have never seen a wedding DJ more positively encourage and engage guests. The dance floor was never empty, and DJ Obie joined us on the floor as the night went on. To this day I think his involvement in our wedding made it that much better.”

“I've been to my fair share of weddings the last few years and I can definitively say that Yazz Events is one of the best live wedding bands I have ever seen. My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!”

“Where do we even start! From the very first email, Colin was such a calming and supportive presence throughout the whole wedding planning process. Anytime I had a question or worry (which I had a few), he was right there with reassurance and quick answers - even when I’d email him late at night, he somehow would respond within minutes! That kind of responsiveness and care meant so much to us, especially in the week leading up to the wedding with things get hectic. He went above and beyond for our rehearsal, helping us run through every detail and setting up mics and speakers so efficiently that everything flowed seamlessly. It gave us such a peace of mind knowing he had everything under control. On the wedding day, Colin handled two complete sound setups - his wireless one for our outdoor ceremony and his main for the reception - and both were absolutely flawless! The sound quality was perfect the entire day; guests could hear every word of our ceremony and every speech crystal clear. There wasn’t a single hiccup. Then came one of the biggest surprises of the night - cold sparks! Colin and my husband had planned them without me knowing, and it was truly one of my favorite parts of the evening. It made our first dance feel straight out of a movie and the photos from that moment are unreal. If anyone is on the fence about adding cold sparks - DO IT! You won’t regret it. The Photo Booth was a huge hit with our guests! Colin recently upgraded with a printer which people were obsessed with being able to take home their photos (a little built in favor). It kept guests entertained all night long and added such a fun, interactive element to our reception. What really stood out though, was how Colin and his wife (who was his wonderful assistant that day) made everything so personal. They were professional yet warm, blending right into the crowd and truly feeling like family celebrating alongside us. Colin kept the energy flowing, a smooth timeline, and the dance floor full all night long. Looking back, we can’t imagine our day without Sound Love. Colin helped make everything easy, stress-free, and so much fun. We are endlessly grateful we chose him and will always recommended Sound Love to EVERY couple looking for a DJ who genuinely cares, listens, and delivers beyond expectations. “Where do I began... The Best Wedding Band was Phenomenal. They came highly recommended by a family member and oh my goodness they surpassed our wildest dreams. Our guests still ask us about them, extremely professional people to work with. There is no way we could have predicted how amazing the band would sound and Hamza's voice would be. Guests are encouraged to participate and within a few minutes half the group was on the floor, and half was singing. Also, he played some old 70s songs that people requested. My favorite was "LAG JA GALE" Having Hamza's incredible band on my big day made it even more special.”
