We had created a Spotify mix for playing during dinner and cocktail hour which he used and added to based on our conversations, and we gave him full rein outside of that because we didn't know how many people would want to dance and felt sure that he would be able to read the mood of the room/crowd. I could not believe how fun the dancing part of the evening was. It completely surpassed our expectations. Everyone had the best time and all my favorite photos are from the dance floor- it was a dream. He also helped us shorten our first dance song and perfectly orchestrated the entire event. They were able to set up speakers for both sides of the venue, provided mics and helped make the ceremony seamless, the transitions and the toasts a breeze for everyone involved. I really can't sing his praises enough. Plus he just has great taste in music, is a genuinely nice person, and someone I would definitely hire again. For a wedding our size (60 guests) he brought a colleague named Sam and together they helped create the perfect environment for memories we will cherish for a lifetime. The band did an amazing job curating the perfect playlist that covered all genres and kicked off with an awesome hora which was a requirement for my family. You can tell how much THC loves what they do and it shows when they are right in the middle of a dance circle singing with the guests or over at the bar singing on a handheld mic getting even more guests back onto the dance floor. Highlight of my night was doing the electric slide (to a song I can't remember, but was into) with about half the band on the middle of the dance floor without any planning whatsoever. He brought the highest level of musicianship, ceremony, and professionalism to our special day, making it sing! Joey played classical cello music before our ceremony, for the processional, and during our ceremony. Each music piece was selected for its contribution to the orchestration of the whole nuptial service and brought out and accompanied the feeling of the moment. Joey also played both classical and contemporary live cello (many of his original pieces) at our reception during dinner, creating a warm, welcoming, and nuanced atmosphere. His timing and transitions and delivery were as deft at the microphone as they were at the cello, never missing a beat. Not only that but he also served as DJ for our wedding reception dance party.
