After I finished my PhD in genetics and molecular biology at Yale, I left behind a career as a research scientist to pursue a lifelong dream as a professional sax player. While the pandemic was a roadblock to many musicians, I managed to gain momentum as a street performer when I began hosting outdoor concerts for the local entertainment-deprived graduate students. I’m a classically trained, professional violinist, specializing in solo acoustic and electric violin. I love working with couples and event planners. I’ve been playing violin since I was 4 and I’ve been doing paid violin gigs since I was 10 as a soloist and with a quartet. I’ve traveled the world with my violin, including performing in England, Italy, China, Austria, South Korea, Germany and Japan. In 2021, I have over 30 scheduled events as a solo violinist, which is pretty good for a working attorney!
