Born from a long time love of music, an entrepreneurial spirt, and an eye for design and organization ASE DJ was started 18 years ago. Tim, a musician and savvy entrepreneur immediately saw a need in the DJ industry for a professional approach to great weddings and with Missi’s eye for design, organization, and marketing they have grown to be the midwest’s most requested Wedding Entertainment Company with 3 locations and an amazing team of people. A true "American Dream” story; their once “side hustle” has blossomed into a full time growing business that also employs their children and is still sparking their creativity to this day.

ASE DJ aims to be your partner in the success of your wedding or event. We use our years of expertise to guide you through the process of planning out an amazing celebration that is a reflection of you as a couple. It isn’t about “our show” our “our preferences” its about YOU! We firmly believe that our clients deserve transparency, great communication (at their comfort level), and their “Best Day Ever!”, and when choosing us - you chose that commitment.

    Great to work with

    We had an amazing experience from start to finish with ASEDJ. The planning team was super helpful as we created our timeline and chose our songs! The day-of, DJ Caleb coordinated with our other vendors, kept our dance floor packed, and made sure we always had a drink nearby. The planning process was super detailed and we really appreciated how DJ Caleb checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we always had what we needed. We'd absolutely recommend A Special Event DJ & Photo Booth to anyone looking for a great team of DJs for their wedding or event!

    Don't recommend

    I originally wanted them from 6PM-1:30AM, I was willing to pay an early set up time and then just have the DJ for the reception but Tim,the owner I believe, told me it wasn't an option and basically told me to pay for the additional time I didn't even want them for or find someone else. I agreed to have the DJ come at 2PM, 4 hours earlier than I wanted. All one month before my wedding so I had no other choice but to pay for something I didn't want. Day of the wedding I get a text that the DJ will only be there from 6:30-1:30 which is frustrating because that is what I originally wanted but after they made me add additional time I had to change my schedule for the day of. Overall not happy to have worked with them but I can appreciate the DJ and the work he did on our special day.

    Absolutely perfect!

    A Special Event DJ & Photo Booth was an exceptional choice for our wedding day. The entire process of booking with them and planning was super smooth, easy, and quick. Their online planner tool was perfect for my type A personality - there was plenty of room to make requests and ensure we got exactly what we wanted, but it was also structured enough that I knew we wouldn't forget anything. On the day of, our DJ Nick was incredible - professional, amazing, and I couldn't have picked anyone better to keep our dance floor packed all night long. A Special Event DJ & Photo Booth truly contributed to making our special day perfect.

    Great Company!

    ASE helped ease our minds throughout the entire planning process! The entire team, start to finish, made our big day a breeze! We loved that they sent out an email the week of to all of the vendors ensuring that they were all on the same page! ASE even pulled off a suprise photobooth rental, gifted to us by my (the brides) parents! DJ RJ was the best! We threw a lot of "untraditional" reception ideas at him and he went with it, supported it and best of all, had fun with it! We had a great time and RJ really listened to our requests! We gave him a broad genre of music and he got it right! The entire team was truly the best! Would highly recommend to any couple looking for a quality company who care for every single wedding they work!

    Wedding DJ

    ASEDJ was a great part of our wedding day! The booking process was thorough and our venue preview with them was smooth and our questions were answered. The provided website with a timeline helped us truly navigate the smaller details of the day. The uplighting they provided set the mode perfectly. It was our DJ’s first Hindu Wedding and he tackled that challenge head on and did great. He was flexible getting our wedding back on schedule and adjusted to changes with ease.
