“My husband and I are local to San Diego and toured around 15–20 venues before finding Wedgewood Weddings at The Headquarters. We immediately booked a tour and completely fell in love. From the pre-coordination to seeing everything come together on our wedding day, we truly could not have asked for a better experience. Our coordination team — Emma, Nat, and Petr — spent hours with us leading up to the wedding, making sure we understood our options and helping us incorporate the personal touches that mattered most. Our day-of coordinator, Jasmine, was amazing! Although we hadn’t had our previous planning meetings with her, she came into our rehearsal knowing exactly what was on our list and executed everything exactly as we had planned. We never felt like we needed to explain or worry about anything. The handoff to our banquet captain, Brynne, was equally seamless. She made sure our late-night ramen bar came to life and, at the end of the night, led her team in helping our family pack everything up. Our DJ, Mik from DJ Maestro, was even better than we imagined. Multiple guests told us it was one of the best wedding DJ experiences they’d ever had, and the dance floor was incredible all night! We also used Moments in Bloom and True Photography, two of Wedgewood’s partnered vendors. Our bouquets, centerpieces, and ceremony arch were exactly what we envisioned, and our photo/video team made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The venue itself was beautiful, and our guests could not stop talking about how unique it was — especially the downstairs bar! We had around 150 guests and never once felt like the space was cramped or crowded. There was plenty of room to move around, dance, and enjoy the night, so it can absolutely handle a larger crowd. The food was great, and the service was incredibly smooth. Even with friends who know how to enjoy a good open bar, there was never a line! The location was another huge plus. We debated having an outdoor ceremony because outdoor photos were really important to us, but we ended up loving the indoor ceremony space. Our photo team walked with us down to the water afterward, so we still got the sunset photos we had dreamed of. We also booked our hotel block at the Hyatt, and our guests loved how close and convenient everything was. If you are looking for a venue and team that will be there for you throughout the entire planning process and make sure your wedding day comes together exactly as you envisioned, look no further than The Headquarters. My husband went on two deployments while we were wedding planning, so I knew from the beginning that I wanted a venue with a team that would provide a lot of support throughout the process. We truly could not have asked for a better group of people to work with. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Wedgewood Weddings at The Headquarters. They supported us from the beginning of planning through the very end of our wedding night, and we would choose them all over again.”

“Fallbrook did an amazing job and made our special day something we will never! We had to change venues with only 2 months before the wedding and the Wedgewood team and the Fallbrooks team in particular did everything in their power to make the transition seamless! Fallbrook was responsive to everything we needed, while always keeping to the schedule and being efficient. The venue was gorgeous with beautiful sights, which made for the best photos and video we could ask for. “The Secret Garden was the perfect venue for our group of 105 guests in May. It has an intimate feel, but still feels open and welcoming. The flowers were in bloom and the grass was very green. The coordination team did an amazing job accommodating all of our set-up requests and took great care of us on the day of. We are very pleased with everything and loved the preferred caterer and DJ that were part of the all-inclusive package. Overall we found this venue to be one of the more affordable options, especially given you bring in your own alcohol/drinks and can take home what’s leftover. This saved us at least 50/person. The surrounding area and city of Rancho Santa Fe are gorgeous. Parking was easy and all our guests loved the venue.”

Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Growing up in rural Ohio, Sherry brings the style of country that is reminiscent of simpler gracious time, learning from her grandmother Emma Barrett of all things romantically beautiful. Sherry’s work has been featured in Country Living Magazine, Where Women Create, and San Diego Magazine.

“This place was our one and only stop when looking for venues because the moment we saw it and met the owner Sherry we knew it was the place. Not only is it this gorgeous hidden gem, but it has a wonderful owner who makes you feel like your day is the most important day of her life as well. Our wedding went seamless and perfect and we’re still hearing our guests go on and on about how breathtaking the venue was. Sherry was amazing and always super fast to answer no matter the time or day. She was so accommodating and always made every visit fun. September was the perfect time, all the greenery was so lush! This is the kind of venue where for decor, LESS IS MORE. This place IS THE DECOR. Highly recommend this place!!”

Lakeside, CA

Saying ‘I do’? Choose your ceremony and reception to be held inside the Lakeside Community Center, or take advantage of the natural beauty and host your special day in the outdoors. Lindo Lake is one of San Diego's few natural lakes that provide a scenic backdrop for ceremonies and receptions.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Lush gardens
  • Provides lighting and sound

Venue considerations

“Gorgeous and peaceful location, perfect for a celebration of any kind. I booked Meyer Hall at the Lakeside Community Center for an engagement party in March 2026 for 95 guests (max capacity is 250). They also offer smaller rooms for groups of 30 to 90. I loved the spacious layout of Meyer Hall, which is conveniently adjacent to the kitchen. You can decorate however you like, provided you don't attach anything to the walls/ceiling or use open flames, confetti, or rice. We used tablecloths, flowers, LED votives, and small candies, which elevated the space to a classy, elegant, wedding-like feel. There is also plenty of free parking just a short walk from the hall, making it easy to navigate for guests in heels or those using strollers and wheelchairs. The Logistics: The 4-hour rental (4:00 PM to 8:00 PM) automatically included two additional hours for setup and one hour for breakdown. I added tables, chairs, a stage, and multimedia equipment to my reservation. A security guard was required, along with a catering fee and a cleaning deposit. I did not rent the kitchen, as our caterers handled everything on the patio. The total came to 1,510, which I found very reasonable and affordable. I was also pleased to see the security deposit returned to my credit card less than a week later. My main contact, Michelle, was incredibly kind and professional throughout the entire planning process. Pro-Tips for Planning: Insurance: You’ll need one-day event insurance (I used Markel for 75). Note that providing alcohol requires additional coverage and potentially an extra security guard. The Tour: You must tour the space with a staff member at least 45 days before your event and prior to booking. Since this is a busy community center, tours are only offered on very specific days/times. Breakdown: The rental requires you to clear, wipe, and stack all furniture, take trash to the dumpster, and sweep/mop. This wasn't a problem for us, but it’s an important detail if you’re planning a formal wedding! The Highlights: My favorite feature was the view of the beautiful lake and local birds. The A/C worked perfectly, which was a huge relief during a recent heat wave. Our dessert vendor, Cabetos Pops, served guests on the patio starting at 6:30 PM. This coincided perfectly with "golden hour," making for a truly magical moment. While the lakefront is open to the public, our area still felt private and secluded. We also had Taquizas José cater delicious tacos on the patio; our guests raved about the food! (I highly recommend checking out their Yelp pages for my full 5-star reviews). Minor Hiccup: The only subpar aspect was the multimedia setup. The Bluetooth speakers didn’t work for about half the party. I had scheduled a time two weeks prior to test the equipment, and the battery was dead even then. My fiancé and I had curated a thoughtful playlist, so it was disappointing the device wasn't charged. To their credit, the staff worked hard to resolve it and ensured it functioned once charged. My suggestion: Kindly and clearly remind the staff to charge the speakers a few days before your event. All in all, I really enjoyed hosting our friends and family here and would not hesitate to book again. They are undergoing some construction this year which may affect lake views, so just check with the staff before booking.”

“Definitely, recommended if you’re on a tight budget. Our wedding theme was Simple Elegant. We’re both minimalist. We drive down from AZ, great thing we managed to pack light for the decor etc., our friends helped too. Hands down! Working with Keli for 9 months has been rewarding. She is great a communicator, a team player, attentive to details, visionary, flexible and supportive. She is not a typical salesman. You will not burnt out your wallet with this venue. No hidden fees. This don’t happen all the time, surprisingly, we paid less than what we originally budgeted for. That alone is a blessing! On the wedding day, her team was so kind to working with us during the ceremony, we were 30 mins delay and had to push back the lunch schedule as well. We did not get extra charged. They took care of my high anxiety with their patience. The food was 100% amazing. Great choice ordering the lemon chicken and beef brisket buffet style. Our wedding guests could not stop talking about the delicious meal. The space was indeed what we asked for any sizes of 50-300 guests. We had 120 guests attended on a Saturday afternoon (paid for 150 people), there were still plenty of space inside and available seatings. The outside was stunning. People love the Mountain View background and greenery golf grass. I enjoy the easy access to the parking lot and clubhouse. We brought our own desserts which saved us a ton of money. They provided microphones, iPhone adapter for our iPhone Spotify playlist songs, a podium, refrigerator, table cloths, easel, and extra outside set up tables all for free of charged. I can go on and on! Bottom line I don’t have bad news to say about this venue. Give her a call, be up front what you’re looking for, she’ll work with your budget.”
