Hi there, I’m Katie. I’m a Midwest girl and forever happy to call West Michigan home. I'm married to my best friend, Chris and blessed by our 3 kids, Tucker, Savannah and Finn. Our Golden Retriever, Luna, is our fur baby. Once your inquiry pops into my inbox, I’m there with you every step of the way. I started out as a photographer raising funds to go on a mission trip to India back in 2011. Since then, I’ve been there three times and to other countries near and far around the world. I am based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and am excited to travel anywhere here, or worldwide for you. Since photographing over 240 weddings, I know when to step forward and take the lead, or step back and let a moment happen. My style leans towards classic, timeless, natural, full of color and true to you moments, that you’ll always treasure.

After being adopted from China, I fell in love with everything creativity. I was always drawing, dancing, editing my friend’s insta pictures for fun, and of course having mini photoshoots of my dog. I felt so much joy when it came to creating art that could be saved forever. It didn’t take until college that I used all my money from my savings to buy my own camera- yeah I definitely knew my priorities. When I had time in between classes and studying I devoted it to taking pictures of my friends/family.

I strongly believe everyone deserves a wedding photographer who shows up, makes an effort beyond the contractual agreement, and delivers high quality images that are timeless - not trendy. Hello and welcome to my site! I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer based in West Michigan. In 2002, I graduated from Kendall College of Art & Design with a BFA, major in Illustration. Although I love drawing and painting, my love of photography has not left me since my college days, so in 2011 I decided to focus on photography.
