This venue is what I would call a hidden gem! Tucked away Lunenberg Counry in Central VA, it is the perfect location. For families who may have guests who are spread out throughout the state or tri-state area. The venue boasts a beautiful waterfront ceremony area, but also offers an intimate and romantic indoor area for an inclement weather contingency plan. The Carolyn Baldwin Lake Pavilion is named after our dear loved one, Carolyn Varner Baldwin, who unexpectedly passed away in 2008 due to an allergic reaction. She was the matriarch of our family and a beautiful, one-in-a-billion type of person with a generous and loving spirit. She was a talented gardener, a devoted fisherwoman who could out-fish the best of 'em (we're talking "sun-up-til-sundown" kind of fishing), was creative and artsy, and never knew a stranger. We felt it only fitting to name this lovely place in her memory. We are a family-operated business. Joanna is the General Manager and works with each client to accommodate varying event needs. She handles a wide range of aspects of the business, from answering questions about what will make your event run smoothly to giving you layout suggestions. She has worked with over 200 wedding & event clients over the last 10 years and has learned quite a bit about weddings & event planning through her experiences.

I honestly couldn’t have picked a better venue than Waverly Estate. There’s no venue like it that gives you the flexibility of coming in on Friday & staying until Sunday. We had no worries about clean up after the reception or scrambling the morning of between a hotel & the venue for getting ready. On top of all of that, the all inclusive package that Waverly has is NEXT LEVEL. I didn’t have to search for vendors because Waverly had them already available & built into my package. It was an absolute dream to have one less thing to stress about. Their coordinator, Rachel, is absolutely amazing too. She answered every question I had & was the best cheerleader for us on wedding day. She had everything completely organized & made my vision come true for our wedding. My wedding was a dream come true, in huge part to the team at Waverly Estate.
