Nestled along a stunning stretch of the South Holston River, the Lodge sits on over two acres with more than 1,250 feet of riverfrontage. The hand-hewn logs, local stone, and thoughtful craftsmanship create a warmth and character that no ballroom can replicate. This is a place that feels special before a single flower is arranged. The Lodge is perfectly suited for intimate celebrations of up to 45 guests, with on-site lodging accommodations for up to 8. The property is yours exclusively for the duration of your stay — the grounds, the river, the fireplaces, all of it. We provide the venue and lodging; you bring the vision. No packages, no outside vendors imposed on you — just the freedom to celebrate exactly the way you've always imagined.

The property is perfect for a casual wedding and for great pictures. We have hosted a few weddings and The Lodge has provided great memories!
The lodge offers the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding, with its tranquil atmosphere and numerous picturesque spots ideal for photos. Just outside the basement door, you'll find a charming patio that many of our past couples have used for food stations or as a lovely spot for guests to enjoy their meals. At our venue, you will have access to the grounds for your special day. You will also have access to the Lodge which is the ultimate outdoor playground, seamlessly blending relaxation and adventure. The fishing is world-class and the swimming, tubing, and kayaking are loads of fun too. Unwind in our hot tub overlooking the river or get cozy in front of one of our two beautiful stone fireplaces, one on the main level living room with a 75-inch TV and another in the basement den with a 70-inch TV.

Wedding at Holston River Lodge
We chose Holston River Lodge as our wedding venue and it was everything we could have ever dreamed of. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and the outside is very versatile as far as ceremony and reception. There is a back patio that is a perfect location for a reception. There are plenty of different places on the property for different photograph opportunities/backgrounds. Matt was absolutely wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make the property wedding ready.

From the moment we reached out to The Holston River Lodge, the owners, John and Sarah, were incredibly professional, respectful, and understanding throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with a clean and cozy atmosphere that perfectly fit the vision we had for our wedding day. They worked closely with us to find a date and price that worked within our budget, and we are so grateful for their flexibility and willingness to accommodate our needs. Overall, our experience at The Holston River Lodge was wonderful, and we highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a stunning, intimate setting for their special day. John and Sarah are truly two of the sweetest people we've had the pleasure of working with.

The sweet owners went above and beyond even sending us beautiful flowers for our special day! We couldn't imagine our day being any more special than it was.
