When my husband and I started our journey to plan our wedding, I knew we were going to need some help. We are non traditional, with very eclectic tastes, and we were going to need someone special to help us pull off all of our insane ideas. I extensively researched over 20 coordinators, had a phones calls with 5 different companies, but ultimately I knew Ashley from Rose Event Co. was going to be the one. From the start she personable, intelligent, and made me feel understood in what our vision was for our special day. Throughout the process she was punctual with all of our appointments, gave helpful suggestions, and made me feel confident leaving my type A personality and needs in her hands. The weekend of the wedding came, and a lot of creative problem solving as well. We rented a private mansion for our event and did the rehearsal the day before. Ashley was there early, having already communicated with my other vendors and the venue to make sure we would be prepared for our big day. What we didn't expect was the kitchen under construction, furniture and decor that had not been moved at our previous requests(but promised), rooms that we had planned for, but could no longer use, and the Venue staff not "remembering" months worth of text and phone call conversations about our needs and expectations, as well as their promises and what they were supposed to deliver. There were other issues, but I digress. Ashley immediately stepped in with ideas and to be the go between with the Venue, and to help troubleshoot the long list of problems that had now come up. The night before was stressful for my Husband and I, not knowing if we were going pull this off, but I knew with Ashley, we were in good hands. The day of she brought her A game, a stunning red dress, and handled business. She was not afraid to get involved and make sure everything we wanted happened. She listened to our needs, knew when to step up or step down, was super flexible in our timeline and made sure to handle any issues that arose during the wedding. Her ability to read a situation and adapt to the issues at hand made her the perfect fit to our crazy ideas. She has incredible creative problem solving and is kind hearted and hard working. If it wasn't for Ashley, we could not have pulled off our day. I would recommend her 10x's over, to any bride that wants an absolute badass by their side. She handles business, and gives confidence to her clients. Thank you Ashley and Rose Event Co. for turning what could have been a disaster into a day dream!

Maya was so helpful as our day-of-coordinator for both days of our wedding. She worked with me prior to the wedding to make sure we were completely prepared with all of the details. She helped us plan every detail- from celebratory champagne while getting ready, to beautiful florals (including my dream bouquet, which she made), coordinating all rentals through her vendors, and even picking up our wedding cake. After our Oregon coast ceremony, we had appetizers and a private chef dinner at our airbnb for our 14 guests- and the food experience was truly unforgettable. Kimberley's chef and sous chef, were incredible! The chef built a thoughtful, elegant menu that felt perfectly tailored to the setting and the occasion. Appetizers included fresh oysters, shrimp cocktail and ceviche- all beautifully prepared and displayed. Dinner was perfectly cooked steak, butter garlic mashed potatoes, tender asparagus and scallops, paired with a curated selection of local OR wines. Every dish was crafted with care and brought a sense of luxury and warmth to the evening. The chef and sous chef not only prepared everything to perfection but were also professional, friendly and seamlessly integrated into the flow of the night. The tablescape that Kimberley created was another unforgettable highlight- elegant, timeless and even more beautiful than what we imagined. It brought everything together in the most stunning way. Communication throughout the planning process was consistent and reassuring, especially because we live in Colorado and the wedding weekend took place in Oregon. Kimberley regularly checked in to make sure every detail aligned with our vision and because of her thoroughness and care, we felt completely at ease leading into the big weekend. On the day of, her team executed everything with precision and heart. They were warm, attentive, and brought such a calm, grounding energy to the space. Everything was timed perfectly and we were free to enjoy the experience of getting married without any stress. We truly can't thank Kimberley, Chef Michael, and the team enough! My husband and I, as well as our family and friends would absolutely recommend this team for any event. They created a wedding night that was intimate, elegant and deeply personal - a celebration we'll never forget!

We hired Michelle Knutson for our November 2025 Palm Springs wedding and truly could not be happier with our experience. We had a fairly small event, so we went with the day-of-coordinator package. Michelle truly went above and beyond just the day-of coordinating. She coordinated a couple intros zooms, got in touch with our venue and all of our vendors beforehand and brought us solutions when we realized we were going to be rained on. The day of she was a straight shooter - direct and ran a tight ship. But she was also warm, friendly and upbeat. Her assistant even took care of my dog for me and made sure he was fed and walked! Nae and the BSE team brought our vision for our big day to reality! We hired the Brown Sugar Experience for day-of coordination with a custom plan to help navigate us through our self-doubt and inexperience with hosting a huge gathering. Meeting Nae for the first time was like seeing an old friend that you can always count on to fall right back into step with you no matter how much time has passed. Nae is such a calming and easy-going presence and she never once broke a sweat coordinating our day. She listened and understood everything I wanted. As hard as it was for me to not hang around all day and set up for my own wedding, I knew we were in good hands with Nae and she absolutely exceeded expectations. By the time we arrived at our reception, everything was done for us and beautiful. It's not even a question if I would book the Brown Sugar Experience again, I 100% would!
