I’m a wedding planner with a sharp eye, a creative brain, and a reputation for making sh*t happen. I believe the best weddings aren’t just beautiful they are a reflection of your story together. They bring people together and create space for the moments you’ll actually remember. From the first design idea to the final dance, I’m here to make the planning process feel just as meaningful as the celebration itself. With thoughtful communication, calm problem-solving, and a whole lot less stress.

A little background on me! I’ve spent over a decade in the hospitality and events world, with experience ranging from intimate, highly personalized weddings and celebrations to large-scale conferences with more than 1,000 attendees. I started my career planning events in a historic white-tablecloth restaurant, where precision, timing, and guest experience were non-negotiable. That foundation shaped how I approach weddings today: with a deep understanding of hospitality, a love for the little details, and the ability to seamlessly bring all the moving pieces together so you can stay present and enjoy every moment.

    A dream come true

    Josie and the salt and ember team were amazing. They kept the day running, had all the right questions, and helped me keep my mind clear the day of, letting me and my fiancé focus on what was important and allowed us to be in the moment. We could not have done it without them. They were so sweet and really prioritized us and our needs

    Portland Wedding

    Josie with Salt & Ember was amazing and helped make our wedding day literally feel perfect. We decided close to last minute to find a day of coordinator and she took over seamlessly to execute our day so we didn’t have to manage the logistics. She was calm, thoughtful, organized.     The Best Decision We Made

Absolutely! Some couples don’t need a full-service planner. They need a calm, experienced professional to step in, organize the moving pieces, communicate with vendors, and make sure everything runs smoothly. Our Big Moment Package is perfect for couples who have done the planning and need support in the final stretch. We’ll help tie up loose ends, coordinate with vendors, and make sure everything is buttoned up in the weeks leading up to your celebration. Our Ember Experience Package is designed for couples who want to enjoy every moment of their wedding day without worrying about logistics.
The earlier the better! Full planning couples typically book 12–18+ months before their wedding, while coordination couples often book 3–6 months before their date. That said, we love a last-minute challenge too so reach out and we’ll see what’s possible!
Yes! We have a network of amazing vendors throughout Oregon and Washington and love connecting couples with professionals who match their style, budget, and priorities. Your vendor team sets the tone for your wedding, so finding the right fit matters.
Not at all! Salt & Ember offers both wedding planning and catering services, but they are completely customizable. Whether you need full planning support, catering, or both we’ll build a package that makes sense for your celebration.
