Joe Cortez is the owner and founder of Next Level Entertainment. He’s experienced with Maui’s top wedding venues, including Olowalu Plantation House, Hyatt Resort & Spa & more leaving him the knowledgeable guide to the ins-and-outs of some of Hawaii’s most popular wedding venues. His passion for club-style entertainment, fused with his love for creating deeply personalized receptions results in a wedding experience beyond your wildest expectations.

DJ Joe was such a joy to work with and very responsive from our very first email. Prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of his work, and he met with us multiple times to ensure everything was in order. We wanted a mix of many different music genres for our reception including Latin, Reggae, and Hip Hop and he was able to merge them seamlessly to keep our dance floor packed all night. DJ Joe also served as a great MC, providing smooth transitions from ceremony through the end of the night and kept the vibes high the whole time. Definitely one of the best days of my life!

I play ukulele and guitar as well, and teach music at the University of Hawaii. I am a Na Hoku award winner. My unique specialty is the lovely Hawaiian Lap Steel Guitar. This is beautiful background music for any event with a gentle Hawaiian ambiance. This instrument’s unique sound will immediately transport listeners to the days of old Hawaii with gentle breezes and a relaxed feeling of Aloha. This is the perfect solo instrumental background music for your reception, wedding, cocktails, and dining. Acoustic guitar or ukulele for a wedding ceremony followed by Hawaiian Steel Guitar for a reception is a popular combination.

I agree with the hundreds of 5-star reviews of Second Song, but I wanted to specifically give a shout out to DJ Tyler O! While Second Song made the process leading up to the wedding easy and seamless (and the cold sparklers were a hit), DJ Tyler did an amazing job at my wedding and absolutely CRUSHED the dance floor. My husband and I have differing music tastes, but DJ Tyler was able to find common ground and played banger after banger that kept all of our guests on the dance floor till the very end. As someone who goes to music festivals often, I was impressed by his mixing skills and appreciated that there was never an abrupt transition between songs. He also did an amazing job MC’ing and executed all of our requests for playing specific songs at certain times and starting songs in the middle. I don’t think you can go wrong with any DJ’s with Second Song, but I do highly recommend picking DJ Tyler O!

Have about 200 people showing up to your reception and want to guarantee that everyone from your aunts and uncles to your most particular friend all send you texts about how perfect your wedding band was? Great, you're done with your search. We worked with The Hook Club on an ambitious two-day wedding, which included them doing live sound for our Friday welcome party, live sound for the music at our ceremony, some deep cut requests, and our desire to not just have "another wedding band." What we got was an incredibly talented, creative, and kind group of people who were ready to make whatever we wanted happen, ready to add ideas and layers, and who then completely blew away our expectations. We're in that era of our lives where we've been to about 100 weddings in the last 10 years, and we can honestly say that no band has even come close to The Hook Club. A year later everyone is still talking about how great our band was. They are true professionals in every sense of the word, and you should seriously consider booking your venue around whether or not THC is available. That's not hyperbole - they were that good.

After 14 plus years DJing weddings across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, I know the fear is not just bad music. It is awkward MC moments, dead air, generic playlists, and a dance floor that never connects. My style combines real wedding experience with NYC nightlife instincts: live mixing, clean announcements, calm planning, and room reading that keeps every generation included without making the night feel forced.

Awarded Best of Zola
From the moment we booked Dan, I felt this incredible sense of calm. I’d been told by others, “Your DJ will just do whatever they want”, but I quickly learned that Dan is different. He listens, really listens, not just to what you say, but to the things you don’t even realize you’re communicating. He takes those details, both spoken and unspoken, and uses them to craft a wedding experience that feels so personal, you’d think he’s known you for years. Dan’s kindness is the kind you feel, not just in the way he treats you, but in the way he treats your day. He takes his job seriously because he understands it’s not just about music; it’s about moments. And he works tirelessly to protect those moments. There are countless things he does behind the scenes that you’ll never even know about, all to make sure your day runs smoothly and exactly how you dreamed. Our wedding was especially tricky as we were blending Italian and Egyptian traditions, and I wasn’t sure how to make it all flow naturally. I told Dan how important it was to represent both cultures equally while also capturing us as a couple. He didn’t just nod and say, “Got it.” He researched. He planned. He asked thoughtful questions. He made sure every transition made sense, every song had a purpose, and every moment felt intentional. With Dan, you’re not just getting a DJ. You’re getting a guide, a sounding board, and someone who genuinely has your best interest at heart. You can ask him about things that have nothing to do with music— timeline issues, vendor suggestions, tricky wedding-day logistics—and he’ll give you honest, experienced advice because he truly cares about the big picture, not just his part in it. On the day itself, Dan wasn’t just playing music. He was quietly orchestrating the energy of the room. He made sure our guests were always engaged, that the dance floor was never empty, and that the flow of the night matched our personalities. Guests couldn’t stop talking about how perfectly the music blended our two cultures and one friend was literally Shazamming song after song because every single track was that good. Also, if you’re debating about a photo booth, DO IT and book it through Dan. The quality was insane. Everyone loves a photo booth, but these were hands-down the best photo booth shots we’ve ever seen at a wedding. Other agree.Crisp, vibrant, and so much fun—our guests are still raving about them. Dan sends you all the photos taken throughout the night and my husband and I keep going through them. It’s so fun to see our guests having a great time. Dan wasn’t just our DJ. He was our advocate, our cheerleader, and our behind-the-scenes hero. If I could give him 100,000 stars, I would. If you’re lucky enough to have Dan Fudim available for your date, book him immediately. It will be the best wedding decision you make.

I’ve been playing weddings for over twelve years and I love my work! My services cover any or all aspects of wedding & receptions. I have found my life’s artistic calling in becoming flexible to every type of music my clients could desire. I learn to enjoy whatever my clients love and this resonance makes my job sustainable and ever-enjoyable. But, I do tend to request the ability to make choices for the dance-floor that rely on my years of dance-enhancing experience. I meet with my clients to determine what music they would love to hear and what music they do NOT want to hear.

We cannot recommend Brandon enough — he made our wedding absolutely unforgettable! From the very first planning meeting, Brandon's communication and professionalism stood out. He met with us multiple times to make sure every detail was mapped out, and he made collaborating so easy through shared Google Docs and Spotify playlists. He even let us pick his suit color, and we chose pink to match our garden party theme — such a fun, personal touch! During our happy hour, Brandon played acoustic guitar and took song requests, walking around and engaging with our guests the whole time. I was upstairs getting ready and could hear our guests singing along — it set the perfect tone for the whole night before we'd even started! He brought incredible energy, fun, and professionalism to every part of our event. Brandon pumped up the crowd for our first entry as husband and wife and kept everyone engaged all night long. He even brought additional uplighting to enhance our dance floor, which made everything feel even more magical. Throughout the evening, Brandon checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and to see if we wanted to add any last-minute touches. He truly was a crowd favorite, and so many of our guests commented on how much they loved him. After the wedding, Brandon went above and beyond with a heartfelt follow-up note and shared beautiful videos he'd taken throughout the night — such a thoughtful way to wrap up the experience. Brandon isn't just a DJ, he's a true entertainer and a joy to work with. We highly, highly recommend him for your wedding or any event!

Golden Bell was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Original versions of songs but accompanied by the energy of live instruments. Golden Bell was professional and communicative from start to finish and our guests have been raving about them ever since the wedding. TLDR: Hiring Modern Highway for our wedding was, hands down, the best decision my wife and I made for our big day. First and foremost, they are all talented, professional, and brought a large repertoire to the table. Christina is a fantastic singer, with big range. She is also a great business person, again with exceptional range - handling our light, acoustic service music, our post-wedding cocktail music, and our reception music. All live - which kicked the sheeet out of a DJ. She also MC’d. For weddings, hitting hitches is bad - there were none. The long version: Our wedding was a Sunday. It was in a more remote area from LA - Temecula. My wife had just been injured in a car accident - so we were a little nervous but the event was still a go with many people flying in. I am a musician and my wife and I had made the decision that live music was what we wanted for our big celebration. In hindsight, my only regret is the Sunday wedding because we hired Modern Highway to do our music and they were on fire. And some guests had to think about…Monday. But Christina and the band really held things together. It was a fun event and a big piece of that was the music. Christina brought a tremendous amount of energy. Her voice is electric and, when it came time to dance, the band brought it. Christina was very active moving through the crowd, dancing and singing. It is so hard to do that well - to be the energy. Where we needed “other” services, for first dances, parent dances, introductions, ceremony, etc., Christina & Modern Highway had it all covered. In a few cases we needed streamed music - covered. We needed someone to make the event go from the mic - covered. In a unique circumstance, my own band wanted to play - covered. If I’d been them, I would have said no. And frankly, based on what I saw from Christina, we could not have had a better person handling the mic that night. My wife and I look back on our wedding day as a true blessing - a day we were ecstatic about on the spot. I know a big piece of our internal satisfaction is knowing the entertainment was top notch. I wish Christina could have been our photographer as well!

Louis Pettinelli Entertainment was an absolute dream to work with. I thought that a live band for our wedding would be out of our reach, but LPE was so easy to work with and what an incredible value! Our band, LPE Snapshot was incredible and our ceremony musicians were amazing too! The vocalists were high energy and kept the whole event moving. They were great Emcess and they even added some special non-traditional reception activities for us. They were super flexible and played all the songs we asked for- even some very “niche” tracks we asked for during the ceremony. So many of my guests said the band was their favorite part of the reception. I highly recommend LPE entertainment! (I am also a musician myself so I’m very picky!)

My husband and I got married this past August and I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while but we had a big move and time got away from us. As a wedding vendor myself I know how important it is to have a DJ that can balance fun and professionalism, but Joey Chang did just that. He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. If you want your wedding to be classy, romantic, a total rager, and go off without a hitch, I would highly recommend hiring Cello Joe!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Sarah Beth! I was extremely stressed about choosing the right songs for our ceremony, but she was so calming, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. She truly made everything feel easy and guided me in a way that took so much pressure off. She even went above and beyond by learning a new song that my husband absolutely loves, which meant so much to us. Honestly, my husband wasn’t fully on board with hiring a violinist at first, but after the wedding, he admitted it was one of the best decisions we made and was so glad we chose Sarah Beth! Her music added such a beautiful and special touch to our ceremony, and everything flowed perfectly thanks to her help with timing and coordination. I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. My only advice to future brides is to make sure you have someone record this part of your day or designate a family member to capture some moments—I didn’t, and I definitely regret not having more footage of such a special addition. If you’re considering a violinist, I highly recommend Sarah Beth. She truly helped make our day perfect!

Kimmie was SO kind and helpful throughout the process and was laser focused on delivering on numerous special requests I had for timing and production elements in collaboration with our venue, lighting and special effects team! The band brought incredible energy to our reception and had our guests dancing all night long. Kimmie and her team also handled the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour and hit every cue that I had laid out flawlessly, with no rehearsal. We received so many compliments on how amazing the band was, but the groom was particularly thrilled with how incredible they were! Paradigm Party Band provided AMAZING value and were so impressive - we couldn't have asked for a better musical team to make our wedding day truly special.

Hey, I'm Ben! A Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter whose music has been featured on ABC's Nashville, and in American Songwriter magazine. I delight in creating unforgettable wedding experiences, with the perfect song at the perfect moment. With over two decades performing at iconic Twin Cities venues like First Avenue, the Fitzgerald and State Theaters, and touring nationally and internationally, I specialize in delivering heartfelt acoustic performances that resonate emotionally and spiritually with couples and guests.

We were planning a small wedding on a modest budget but knew the music had to be something special. As longtime fans of Romantica and Ben Kyle, we reached out to see if he’d perform at our ceremony and we’re so glad we did! Ben was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He helped us select the perfect mix of songs, including a mix of his originals and a beautiful cover that fit seamlessly into our ceremony. His music brought such heart and authenticity to our day, and his communication throughout the process was excellent. Truly one of the highlights of our wedding!

Each wedding or event I play is full of different people and different ages from all over the world, and they all have differing tastes in music- blending so many different genres and styles of music is such a fun challenge!

DJ Roman Candles was excellent! He pulled off a set that was beyond our wildest dreams. We had a brief phone meeting a week before the wedding about how we wanted the vibe to be and he pulled it off perfectly. Us and our guests were blown away by his performance. After the wedding, all of our guests were raving how awesome he was! He blended all of our requested genres. The transitions between genres and between songs were spot on! He had all of our guests up and dancing. Our wedding coordinator said he was very easy to work and communicate with. He was very organized and had all the equipment we needed. He also took care of the emcee duties and did an awesome job! He had an app we could use to upload all of our song requests. We found it very useful for organizing the songs we wanted played at each part of the night. He totally killed it and we could not imagine anyone doing better. 10/10. We can’t stop watching videos of how fun the night went! Totally recommend DJ Roman Candles for your wedding or any other events!!!

From the moment we booked Ryan Shephard for our wedding, he was incredibly responsive, quick to answer any questions, and made the entire process easy. On the day of the wedding, Ryan was exactly what we had hoped for - he seamlessly executed our special requests beforehand and took requests from our guests all night long. My husband and I had a very specific vision in mind for the music, and Ryan brought it to life perfectly. My guests raved about him. I cannot recommend Ryan Shephard enough - he was truly amazing and played a big part in making our wedding day so special.
