“My spouse and I were lucky enough to have Jo take photos of us for our September 20th elopement in Portland Maine. Prior to the big day, we spoke with Jo on the phone and knew she would be a great match for us. She was thoughtful, quick to respond, and answered all of our questions. She even touched base with us in the days leading up to our elopement. On the day itself, she came to our home for some pre-ceremony photos. Although she had had a stressful morning due to some car trouble, we never would have known. Our two dogs (one of whom is not always people friendly) quickly warmed to Jo and she got some great shots of them as well. We made our way over to city hall, where we got more photos, and she even signed as our witness. She gave us great direction on poses, which was definitely appreciated. After, we all shared in a meal together before my partner and I exchanged private boys, which Jo also caught some amazing photos of. We received our sneak peek very quickly, and our full gallery two months later (on our two month wedding anniversary, which was such a lovely surprise). We truly couldn't have imagined our day without Jo. The photos were incredible and truly captured exactly what we'd had in mind. We continue to feel very fortunate that she was available to work with us. We had a lot of fun with her and it felt like we got to spend the day with a close friend rather then someone we had just met earlier in the day.
