“We had our wedding at Groveland Fairways by Wedgewood Weddings on 4/26/25! We initially got in contact with Groveland Fairways in the very early part of 2024, and it didn’t take long for us to decide that this was the venue for us! Since booking, the venue changed ownership and became a part of Wedgewood Weddings & Events. WW honored our pre-existing contract we had with Groveland Fairways and the transition was seamless! From the get-go, the WW team set up our planning meeting, details call, final meeting, and rehearsal. We had A LOT of TBDs after our first planning meeting, so thank you to the WW team for your patience! We primarily worked with Nicole, but the whole team was VERY involved. Everyone at Groveland Fairways was professional, organized, accommodating, available, and helpful. I’m originally from CT, so on more than one occasion I’d let the WW team know (with only a few days notice) that my mom was coming up and wanted to stop by the venue to plan things out and visualize the day. We never felt like an inconvenience and the WW team was there for us if we had questions but also let us walk around and do our thing. We planned to get married outside by the arbor (Terrace Garden), but the old saying “April showers bring May flowers” stayed true to its word and we had rain. Fortunately, Groveland Fairways has a beautiful indoors option (Fireside Room) and it worked out perfectly for us. It was a more intimate setting for us and all of our favorite people. WW offers multiple enhancements if you want to elevate your special day or make it more custom to you and your style, but we felt that the venue was simple and beautiful on its own! It fit our 135 guests very comfortably. There are multiple spots around the venue to take pictures - whether it be on the front porch, under the porte cochere, up in the new bridal suite, outside on the putting green, or around the grounds with the arborvitaes and white trellis in the background. We don't have enough good things to say about Groveland Fairways, it's charm, and incredibly thoughtful team! Thank you to everyone at Groveland Fairways, who made this experience SO EASY and our day so special!”

“We had an amazing experience at Castle Manor Inn from start to finish. Dan and Kaylyn were incredibly responsive to our questions and made themselves available whenever we needed them. “The Atlantic Ocean Room at Elks Club at Bass Rocks provided a clean, pretty venue with a great view for our wedding. The events planner there was generally helpful when asked, but at times seemed to try to push her own agenda rather than fully listening to our preferences. Communication could lag at times, and I felt the team was a bit forgetful with information. However, the bar service was excellent, and overall the venue was easy to work with. While not perfect, it was a great location that worked well with our separate vendors.”

Long Hill
Rating: 5.0 (22 reviews)
Beverly, MA
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Raw space
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $7,500

Elegant plantings and cultivated grounds fill this public garden with vibrancy that's more than a century in the making. Long Hill is a property of The Trustees of Reservations, a Massachusetts non-profit corporation. From 1916 to 1979, Long Hill was the summer home of noted author and editor of The Atlantic Monthly, Ellery Sedgwick. He summered here with his first wife, Mabel Cabot Sedgwick, an accomplished horticulturist, gardener, and author of The Garden Month by Month, and his second wife, Marjorie Russell Sedgwick, a rare plants specialist—both of whom created a delightful, enchanting landscape, surrounded by more than 100 acres of woodland. Today, visitors delight in the beauty of Long Hill’s structured and naturalistic gardens as well as a network of woodland trails. A diverse collection of trees, shrubs, and distinctive perennial plants provide color during the growing season, peaking in May and June and providing structure and beauty throughout the year.

  • Raw space for complete customization
  • Exudes old-world charm
  • Natural elegance with open spaces

Venue considerations

  • Does not have a dance floor
  • Lighting and sound are not included

Awarded Best of Zola
“Long Hill was a dream, it felt like a private fairy garden. Gorgeous location and the perfect size for us to take photos privately and guests to explore but not feel too far away (for wrangling from cocktail hour to dinner for example). The Long Hill staff were super communicative and responsive, sometimes a little stressful to work with as it felt like there were a number of restrictions but this really translated to a very stream-lined and well-organized wedding day as they brought up any potential issues early and then on the actual day they were super, super supportive and great to work with. They do have a list of 5 set caterers you need to work with, we were given an exception because of a dietary restriction my in-laws have (need to pay a 1000 fee), but this was tricky as Long Hill expects caterers to take on much more than just food. You'll also want to rent a dance floor (700 in the area) as the under tent area is brick. We had 115 of us total with buffet & dance floor, it was cozy & lovely but any more than 120 would feel tight to me. We were able to have a ceremony for an extra 1000 and then the reception was 5,200 for 5-10 on a Friday. In addition to the gorgeous gardens and beautiful cocktail area off the porch, we could take photos inside which was really lovely and a great break from the heat (our wedding day was 85 and VERY humid). Felt very professionally run and they worked well with my dear friend who was our day-of-coordinator and we just feel extremely grateful to have such a gorgeous location!”

“We had the most incredible experience at Floriana! From start to finish, the entire process was so seamless and stress-free. We first met with Jenna for our tour and booking, and she was so helpful in answering all of our questions. From there, our wedding coordinator, Brittany, was absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond to make our day so special and guided us effortlessly through every step of the evening. She brought every little detail I had envisioned to life, which meant so much to me as a graphic designer who personally designed every aspect of our wedding. On our wedding day, it rained, but the Floriana team handled everything so seamlessly. They transitioned our ceremony and cocktail hour inside and decorated the space so beautifully with candles that it honestly didn't even matter that our plans had changed. Everything felt so intentional and magical. The entire evening flowed so smoothly, and our guests are still talking about how much fun they had, how beautiful every detail was, and how incredible the food and drinks were! Every staff member we interacted with was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. Brittany made sure we felt supported throughout the entire night, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy every moment. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding day, and I'm so grateful to the entire Floriana team for making it so special. I truly couldn't recommend Floriana more for your special day!”
