I very recently got married, and the planning leading up to the wedding went so smoothly and so quickly! Venue, florals, photography- things got checked off our list with relative ease. Then we got a bit stuck- we needed an officiant! It can seem like a simple pick, but if you don’t want to have a friend or family get ordained, and you’re not a member of a traditional religion, it can be a harder match to make. But then, we found Tara at Witchy Woman Weddings and reached out immediately. We’re so glad we did!! Inquiry was simple and responses were fast. We only spoke through email leading up to the day itself, but Tara does have the option to book meetings if you’d prefer some face-to-face contact in the lead up to your big day. She has such a peaceful and warm presence that, even if you’re meeting her for the first time at the altar for the ceremony as I did, you feel that calm and kind energy emanating towards you. The process for creating your ceremony script is both easy and personalized- Tara has an in-depth questionnaire to fill out that covers a wide range of topics so she can tailor the ceremony to your unique story and the vibe you’re aiming to create. It really covers all the bases but doesn’t feel daunting to complete. After that, she delivers a sample script and makes sure to note that edits can be made if there is anything you want changed- we didn’t make a single change to ours! We got emotional just reading through our draft and were amazed at how she captured us in the writing. To sum all this up, I am beyond grateful to have found Tara. She was the perfect person to join us together, mixing elements of both the traditional and the not-so-traditional on our Friday the 13th wedding. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a truly special, unique, and heartfelt ceremony. At the risk of sounding a little cheesy, she truly helped make our day a magical one!

Rev. Laurel was incredible during the planning of our ceremony, and the day of. She assisted us in building an order of service from start to finish, with really great suggestions and outlines. She was so communicative leading up to the wedding with all the little questions and details. On the day of the wedding, my (now) husband and I were a bit jittery with adrenaline and nerves. She was incredibly calm and left us feeling so peaceful and at ease in her care at the altar. She was so on top of everything from the rehearsal to the inevitable bit of chaos on the wedding day, we are so unbelievably grateful and appreciative of her, and so happy we found her in Newburyport!

Awarded Best of Zola
Christine was wonderful to work with. From the first call we had you could tell this is a passion for her. Between our zoom calls and emails she was easy to get ahold of and was happy to answer any questions we had. To ensure we had a ceremony that was true to who we are as a couple, she shared an example of a ceremony script she’d just done and then asked us to provide her with our love story and what we like about each other. From there she took this information and wove it into a beautiful ceremony that was personalized, paid tribute to our moms, had a little humor in it and most importantly felt natural. We were able to collaborate after she put together the first draft for any changes. On the day of she arrived early making sure everything was all set and the ceremony would go off without a hitch. I would highly recommend using Christine if you’re looking for a professional JP who really cares about what she does.

Rabbi Noyo did a phenomenal job officiating our wedding! They worked with us for almost a year before the day, with monthly meetings to check in and craft the perfect ceremony for us. She was so helpful with explaining all of the traditions we could choose from, and made sure to keep the ceremony very friendly and understandable to those from a non-Jewish background. She also sent us regular emails with a to-do list, to make sure that we were on track with all of the pre-wedding tasks! They were great to work with and I would 100000% recommend them for your wedding!

  • Serves Gloucester, MA

Stop scrolling! You found us! My name is Chelsea. I am a New England based wedding officiant who writes and performs custom ceremonies for weddings and elopements. I believe every couple deserves to feel guided by a seasoned professional on their wedding day. I also believe your officiant should feel like a natural part of the day. Warm, familiar, and completely at home within the celebration of your story. My goal is to fit seamlessly into each wedding, sharing your love story with clarity, romance, and just the right amount of humor for the people who matter most. I have another talented officiant on my team, Ren, doubling our availability!

Chelsea absolutely CRUSHED IT!! So many people came up to us and told us how professional and poised she was and how they loved the ceremony. Chelsea is an excellent officiant and an even better person. I was in a panic 2.5 weeks before the wedding when two different plans for officiants fell through. The Marrying Jane was on the recommended vendors list at The Red Barn at Outlook Farm; and when I reached out to ask if they could help, Chelsea responded that night and turned everything around. Chelsea wrote a custom ceremony, helped us with all the paperwork, and truly saved the day! I am endlessly grateful and can only hope that other couples find her at the beginning of their wedding planning journeys!

When it came to choosing an officiant my husband and I were kind of at a loss: we'd decided we wanted to ask someone outside of our immediate friends and family circle, someone who had a relationship to ceremony and spirituality that would work closely with us and meet us where we were at. Perhaps, like us, you've found Hannah Grace by a Google search. Look no further! She was the very first person who came up for us, and her impeccable reviews seemed almost too good to be true. It isn't so! Now we know there's a reason why she's THE go-to officiant in the Pioneer Valley/Berkshires radius: she's absolutely one of a kind. Thoughtful, intuitive, patient, organized, flexible -- there aren't enough words to encapsulate Hannah's work. She held our hand gently through the process while also giving us a boost of energy whenever we needed it. She is a beautiful writer with a wonderful ability to narrativize a couple's journey, intentions, and wishes. She helped us build unforgettable experiences within our ceremony that carried us and our guests through this most meaningful of moments. We are forever grateful to Hannah and all she does to help couples' dreams come true.

Rabbi Jamie Field

Rabbi Jamie Field was ordained in 2024 from HUC-JIR in New York. When we were planning our wedding we originally thought of just asking a friend to marry us. But after learning more about what a good officiant can offer we were incredibly happy to have changed plans and gone with Miriam! Miriam perfectly balanced being both professional and also getting to know us as a couple and individuals. She was very friendly and always a joy to talk to in our calls. The ceremony itself was not something we had given a ton of thought to, and weren’t sure exactly what we wanted outside of having a few concepts (short, secular, not too serious). Miriam was able to offer us advice, recommendations, and guidance throughout the process as we created our ceremony. From sending us examples of readings that fit our vibe, to explaining different unity ceremony ideas and helping us come up with one that fit us, Miriam made what could have been a stressful planning experience into a breeze. Miriam separately reviewed both our private and public vows, gave us feedback to make sure both our tones were the same, and took care of dropping off the paperwork to make the marriage official. We knew we picked the right person when our friends asked us afterwards how long we had to look to find an officiant with the same sense of humor as us. We would absolutely recommend Miriam to anyone asking!
