Before the Vows is an attachment-based, somatic, neuroscience-informed premarital coaching experience for couples who want to enter marriage with deeper emotional awareness, stronger communication, and a truly secure foundation. This is for couples who want more than a beautiful ceremony. It’s for couples who want to understand each other at a deeper level, recognize patterns before they become problems, and build a relationship/legacy that can hold real life—not just the highlight reel.

    Our ceremony was better than expected!

    We had high expectations but Julie exceeded them! She was available when we needed to ask her questions or consult with her about the ceremony. We did 3 premarital counseling sessions, and they surprised us! Julie had us diving into topics that we would’ve never talked about, had she not facilitated the conversations. Grounded, confident and committed to her wedding couples! I would definitely recommend her!

    Rev. Julie was absolutely amazing!

    Rev Julie made our ceremony meaningful!

    Rev. Julie was amazing! She beautifully captured the essence of our relationship in a ceremony that was deeply meaningful to us as a couple and our families. It seems more common these days that people define themselves as "spiritual, but not religious" and she was able to take that vast spectrum and narrow in on exactly what we desired.     The Ceremony was our Favorite Part!

Yes. I can offer guidance, prompts, and structure to help couples write personal vows that feel heartfelt and natural. I also support couples who prefer traditional vows or private vows.
Absolutely. I specialize in creating ceremonies that honor different beliefs, backgrounds, cultures, and traditions in a way that feels respectful, inclusive, and authentic. Whether you want a prayer, blessing, unity ritual, remembrance, handfasting, Catholic elements, Jewish traditions, or something totally custom, we can thoughtfully weave it in. I spent 2 years at Interfaith Seminary, and can weave these elements seamlessly into the ceremony.
I can attend rehearsals depending on the package, location, and availability. I also offer a rehearsal walk-through by Zoom at no charge, which helps couples feel confident and prepared before the wedding day.
