Why settle for the same clichéd, predictable service everyone else uses? You're unique, and your wedding should be, too. I'll work with you to design the perfect ceremony to match your own individual style and personality.

Awarded Best of Zola
A few hours after my husband and I got engaged, I asked him, "What if we just had a super tiny wedding and got married in a week?" Cue a mad scramble to find an officiant, photographer, and venue. We had already spoken to one potential officiant who didn't ask us any questions or tell us what he was planning to do—not great—so when our photographer recommended Dave, we were thrilled he was available. When we met up over Zoom to talk, it was clear he's very smart and funny, and loves love without being mushy about it. He crafted a ceremony that was short and sweet, complete with a reading that was a great match for us. I loved that he sent us the full script with free rein to adjust it to our liking. I, an endless word-fusser, only made one small change. On the day, he was already laughing with our witnesses when we arrived, and it set the scene so beautifully for us to have a joyful, laid back ceremony. It was perfect. He's happy to provide ideas but really wants the ceremony to work for you as a couple. He'll talk about his outfit options for you to choose from. (We went with a navy suit but he has a rad hot pink one too if that fits your vision. I suspect he would gamely wear an Iron Man costume or KISS makeup if that were your dream.) That open thoughtfulness extends to whatever kind of ceremony you want—big or small, religious or secular, traditional or offbeat. Zero judgment, just a steady stream of smart questions, good ideas, and caring support. And he writes the best emails. I haven't laughed that hard or felt so sparklingly clever in writing in years.

Lauri was fantastic to work with and we are so grateful we found her. She was a caring a nurturing presence throughout, was very receptive to our requested changes as we planned the ceremony script, and was clearly motivated by doing what would be right for us. She met with me and my fiance about four times during our wedding planning process to get to know us and modify our ceremony plan/script to what spoke most to us most as a couple. She was knowledgable about a variety of cultural traditions and helped us incorporate the Irish Hand Fasting Blessing into our ceremony, providing us with an everlasting, unique memory and memento (the handfasting chord) of our promises to each other. We received several compliments from our wedding guests about Lauri's ease and professionalism while she officiated our wedding. We highly recommend her! - Tess, May 2025 Bride, Bill Miller's Castle

Awarded Best of Zola
Rabbi Noyo is the best! Hire her now. More context: We hired Rabbi Noyo to officiate our interfaith wedding in September 2024. We wanted to add some jewish elements to our wedding but did not know what our options were beyond breaking the glass and the Chuppah. Rabbi Noyo was understanding and patient with us - she took the time to really get to know me and now husband, our history, what we love about one another, etc. She also encouraged us to have important, difficult conversations leading up to the wedding, which she cleverly coined as 'pillow talk'. This helped strengthen our bond and us feel completely secure and ready for our upcoming nuptials. In additional to these sessions, Rabbi Noyo also took the time to explain the various elements that could be incorporated leading up to and during the ceremony, the significance behind them, and even provided information on where to learn more/buy items. She never pressured us or made us feel badly for skipping ceremony components and even provided alternative language for blessings that felt more like us. She also provided input on our program, reviewed our vows, and even had printed copies ready for us during the ceremony. Rabbi Noyo made our wedding ceremony truly perfect. Her words during the ceremony were BEAUTIFUL, heartfelt, and funny. She knew the little things that mattered (including setting expectations ahead of the ceremony, moving to the side for the kiss, etc.) and helped everyone feel so comfortable. She gave clear instructions to the guests and helped make sure that the special moments worked seamlessly. She encouraged our love to shine through and facilitated an absolutely gorgeous ceremony. Our guests are even still talking about how amazing the Rabbi was and asking where to find her. Rabbi Noyo made our wedding exactly the way we wanted it to be, and I know she will do the same for you. Hire her! You will not regret it :)

Rabbi Brent Chaim Spodek
Rating: 5.0 (11 reviews)
Beacon, NY
  • Offers 9 ceremony types
  • Starts at $3,600

It’s not 1952 anymore - nobody is scandalized that people live together before marriage, and thankfully, nobody is getting married because single women don’t have economic agency. So what does it mean for a modern couple to get married? We often think in terms of things we won’t do: we won’t leave, we won’t stray. Those are minimum requirements, not aspirations. The question of marriage is what will you do when - inevitably - love feels distant, and you are hurt or disappointed? I work with couples of all faith backgrounds who are as serious about their marriage as they are about their wedding and are ready to address that question.

Rabbi Brent offers an outstanding program that my wife and I completed before he married us. We spent meaningful time not just with the Rabbi, but with each other in our own time to help write our ketubah.  The ketubah signing and ceremony he lead for us was moving, beautiful, and so powerful for us. Our attendees were also quite impressed! I’d recommend Rabbi Brent to anyone- for weddings, or just any service he offers. He’s a great human being on top of being a fantastic Rabbi, and I look forward to keeping in touch with him.

We had countless family members and friends ask us if she was a close friend of ours because of how deeply personal the ceremony felt. Everyone complimented her delivery and the beautiful atmosphere she created. Some of the highest praise, though, came from my grandpa. He was initially skeptical of a non-church ceremony, but he was completely pleased with Chelsea's ability to make our ceremony feel rooted in faith and deeply meaningful. If you are looking for an officiant who will elevate your ceremony, bring a calm and professional presence, and craft a personal story that connects with everyone in the room, book The Marrying Jane immediately. Our 2008 marriage ceremony was the best I’ve ever attended (I may be biased). My partner and I created a humorous and meaningful service that fit us perfectly. I want to be able to do the same for you. I am a social worker who is good at highlighting relationships and connections. I’m an attentive listener, and I promise you won’t feel like you’re in a therapy session when we work together. Unless you totally love therapy, in which case, sure, I’ll use my therapist voice. Social workers aren’t usually associated with humor, but I assure you, I am hilarious. I'm also calm, organized, thoughtful & fun.

Josie officiated our wedding in August 2024 and we can’t recommend her enough! She was very personable from the first call, and the ceremony she wrote for us captured our personality and relationship perfectly - humorous, but with our relationship on full display. We had multiple people come up to us telling us it was one of the best ceremonies they’ve experienced! She also handled the paperwork side of things swiftly and easily. Look no further than Josie!

Michele is an incredible person, so very thoughtful, intuitive, and talented! She is full of love and brought a sense of calm energy to our most magical custom ceremony. She also made us custom handfasting cording and a beautiful display for our ring exchange. Every word she wrote captured us so perfectly. All our guests said it was the most amazing ceremony they'd ever been to. We are so grateful to have found Michele!

We were so glad we chose Laura Assade as our officiant. From our first conversation, she was clear about what to expect and flexible with our vision for the ceremony. Laura worked with us to create a personalized script that felt true to who we are, and she had us review and approve everything before the big day so there were no surprises. On our wedding day, she showed up as a calm, smiley presence that put us and our guests at ease. Her secular ceremony was heartfelt and reflected all the details we cared about. We'd recommend Laura to any couple looking for an officiant who is reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making your day special.

Your ceremony doesn't have to be "cookie cutter" or "run of the mill." I work with all my couples to present a ceremony that truly reflects your relationship. My goal is to ensure that you and your guests experience a meaningful and entertaining wedding ceremony to start your special day.

Pamela was absolutely amazing and such a meaningful part of our wedding ceremony. From our very first meeting, she was warm, organized, and incredibly informative, which immediately put us at ease and helped us understand how the ceremony process would unfold. She provided thoughtful guidance and a variety of options for readings and vows, which made it easy for us to shape a ceremony that felt personal without feeling overwhelming. Throughout the entire planning process, she was consistently responsive, answering our questions quickly and clearly, and always making us feel supported. We truly felt like we had meaningful input in creating the ceremony, and Pamela did a beautiful job of incorporating our personalities, values, and story into the final script. The ceremony reflected us so well, it felt authentic, heartfelt, and intentional in every way. On the day of the wedding, she presented the ceremony with such calm confidence, warmth, and sincerity that it created a really grounding and emotional atmosphere for us. During the ceremony, we felt present, relaxed, and fully able to take in the moment because we trusted Pamela completely. So many of our guests told us afterward how beautiful, personal, and well-paced the ceremony was, along with the laughs we had. One of our friends who are getting married asked for her information so they can have her officiate their ceremony too! We are so grateful for her presence, her guidance, and the care she put into every detail of our experience, it truly made our wedding ceremony unforgettable.
