Inspired in the late 1980s, by local radio DJs in the Memphis area, LaShawn “DJ Zoom” Lester began deejaying by recording music from the radio and using various mixtapes created by popular deejays to create his own music. After deejaying at several middle and high school events, DJ Zoom officially began his professional career in 2007. Over the years, he continued to perfect his craft, making him one of the most sought after deejays in Memphis and the surrounding areas.

Dj 316 has been keeping dance floors full for over 15 years and continues to build on his already impressive award winning resume on a weekly basis. Born in memphis, tennessee his first love will always be hip hop but his musical library include genres of all types (edm, gospel, chh, house, top 40, reggaeton, latin, rock, etc). He grew up in the memphis club scene and was inspired by the many local dj's in the M-town. He started DJ-ing in college because he loved to hear mixes on the radio and in clubs. Fast forward many parties and many years later and he's still going strong.
