“What an amazing experience working with Joey. He was very thoughtful in curating the music for our day and I hope you find what you are looking for with him. I am a wedding vendor of 15 years as well doing hair, makeup and morning concierge. One of my past brides at one of my most favorite venues to work at is how I was introduced to Joey. After coming out of the hair room I love taking a moment to walk around the venue and there he was playing the cello along with some background music. I was hooked. I love that he was incorporating songs of today with the art of an instrument. I found it unique and something I wanted to showcase at my wedding. I didn’t want people to walk up to just music playing in the space, but an experience. Joey took the time to do 2 calls with us, one being over the phone and the second being over zoom. He came with a detailed questionnaire of how we wanted our wedding to go. It was so detailed that even a music mood girl I didn’t even think of. The calls were scheduled for 30 minutes but he didn’t hesitate to chat with me for over an hour on how I wanted it to be curated. I had already started 2 wedding playlists, but he added and sent me 5 to 6 albums to fill out of songs I loved and wanted. I had over 10 hours of music to play and not only did he take those into consideration he added music that my guests also requested. He even accepted me saying change this song and only play the 10 year olds music every 10 songs He needed to set up in two spaces, one for the ceremony which was outside on our property. He was set up and playing by the time guests arrived. Everyone I spoke with loved the music selection, which I told him “Bridgerton vibes” and he ran with it. After the ceremony his assistant had music playing for the cocktail hour while they broke down the equipment in the ceremony area. I was blown away by the lights that were brought and the look of everything. Microphones worked for speeches and he even had a stand for those who wanted to use them. We didn’t do a traditional walk in but he announced us perfectly and we ran around the tables saying hello to our friends and family. I would recommend Joey to anyone looking to have an experience for their guests, have a DJ but also want strings all in one. He was professional, timely and for someone who did not have a day of coordination or planner very informative. I wanted vendors to do what they do best and I’m glad I trusted him to provide us with music throughout the day and night!”

“The Lucky Devils Band absolutely made our wedding reception! From our initial phone call with Meredith, we knew we were in excellent hands. She took the time to thoroughly understand our vision and musical tastes, making thoughtful suggestions along the way. Communication was prompt, fun, and Meredith was so approachable throughout the planning process. On the big day, the band blew us away with their incredible talent and ability to perfectly execute our song requests, from jazz to oldies to classic rock. As musicians ourselves, we were so impressed by their skill level and experience and professionalism. During cocktail hour, two musicians played jazz, then they switched to rock mode for the reception. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! The energy was palpable from their very first note, and their song selections kept guests of all ages dancing all night long. They ended the evening with “Purple Rain” by Prince and it made my life. We can't recommend the Lucky Devils Band highly enough - they were total professionals and our biggest splurge, but SO worth it I’d do it a million times over!!”

From the clear and timely communication with Lilan herself (no third party manager) over the months leading up to the big day about our budget and hopes and dreams, to the actual wedding day, it could not have been more perfect! The highlights were the epic brass band that led the 200 guests from the outdoor wedding ceremony to the reception, the mother-son dance (perhaps not the dancing skills but definitely the beautiful rendition of “What the World Needs Now (Is Love)” by Lilan and her band), and the song set with the glorious horns that kept the dance floor hopping (with everyone from the youngest guest to grandma) all night long! It went by too fast, but the memories will last forever! We could not have been more pleased! I could not recommend Hella Fitzgerald more!”

“DJ MC Duke was an absolute hero for our wedding ceremony, cocktails, and reception! He did a great job onboarding us for the whole process and made us feel heard and appreciated before we even got to the wedding day! We ended up having several particular requests that include making cuts and edits of existing songs, and MC Duke had absolutely no issue working with us to make everything come together effortlessly. We also got to make our own playlist for pre-ceremony and cocktails! MC Duke even helped my best man drop a huge surprise audio track during his speech — a moment we will never forget. You’ll have a ton of flexibility with setlist options and the dance playlists are absolute bangers. Also definitely ask about his upgrades. We customized the package to have her duo Modern Highway play for cocktail hour then the DJ set. “Honestly I ended up choosing Sean as my DJ for the wedding because he was the nicest and the most communicative out of everyone I contacted. I thought he did an awesome job at helping me through the process. Sean even was pretty flexible when I kept missing my zoom appointment (sorry about that) and didn't make me feel bad about it. He was great when it came to choosing songs for the big day. He also had the timeline on lock and was able to provide some insight. I love that I chose to include the photobooth because we can go back and look at all the photographs which is great. Every one of my guests loved that and was excited they could get each one afterwards. The printer was super quick too. I didn't even know we would have a personalized print with our wedding date on it which was a nice surprise. The only thing I would have liked would be that when the bride/groom requested a song that it would get played. Instead he asked if the venue was okay with it which I felt like wasn't a concern since I paid for both to be there. That was my only note for future events. Rick Flare Drip never got played and it's a banger. Sean also had another surprise which was Audio he recorded from the ceremony which I thought was a cute touch. Thank you for making our big day a success.”
