My passion for floral design began over twenty years ago in a greenhouse in a small Michigan town, traveled through the mountains of Colorado and Arizona, to the beaches of Southern California, settling in Washington, DC. Education in graphic design has helped to sharpen my attention to detail and given me an eye for color and composition.

Cedar and Lime Collective was created to provide couples with the most beautiful and dynamic variety of local flowers and decor. Our floral arrangements tend to take on a soft, flowing aesthetic, full of bright colors and unexpected, textural elements like berries, flower pods, and more. We create gorgeous floral designs using naturally and healthfully grown flowers, while promoting and supporting a more sustainable local floral industry. I am a home-based floral designer, trained in European hand-tied bouquets by the Middle Atlantic Florist Association, trained in flower treatment and high-end wedding designs by world-renowned California-based Dutch Florist, Rene van Rems. "Fashion Forward Weddings: Bouquets, Tablescapes, and Beyond" was his seminar that I attended. I have also studied at the American School of Flower Design under author and designer Michael Gaffney.

With staffing in the DC area, Caribbean and Europe, we have the capacity to do full scale wedding planning and design anywhere in the world. We have wedding planners, florists, lighting designers, carpenters and custom design structures in-house. We have a zero-waste floral design studio in DC and can do floral designs anywhere in the world sustainably.

I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.
