“From our first email to the day we said "I do," The Stone Mill 1792 team was there for us at every step. They responded quickly to our questions and were always transparent about what we could do at the venue, which made planning so much easier. The space itself is stunning – we loved having the mill for getting ready, the gorgeous ceremony spot with the pond backdrop, and that spacious tent with real flooring where we could really celebrate. Their in-house decor helped us bring our vision to life without the stress of figuring it all out ourselves. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful everything was, and we have to give a huge shout-out to the Two Rivers Chamber Music string quartet – they were incredible. The Stone Mill 1792 team's kindness and thoughtfulness made our day feel special in ways we didn't expect, and we'd recommend them to any couple in a heartbeat.”

“We feel incredibly lucky to have this winery in our area. Their approach to winemaking really aligns with our personal taste. They focus on beautifully crafted, drier reds and whites inspired by a classic Bordeaux style, and the quality and balance in each bottle are consistently impressive. If you appreciate structured, thoughtfully made wines, this place truly delivers. The setting makes it even more special. Nestled into a picturesque little valley, the property feels both expansive and intimate at the same time. There’s something about the atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. It’s the kind of place where you run into friends, settle in for a while, and find yourself coming back week after week. For us, it has become our regular spot to unwind. They host live music multiple times a month, along with seasonal festivals, summer games, croquet, and other events in their large open gathering space. Seeing how naturally they bring people together makes it easy to envision how beautiful and seamless a wedding celebration would feel there. The grounds provide a stunning backdrop that feels elegant but never overdone. The staff is always inviting, charming, and genuinely engaging. Being family-owned adds a personal touch that you can feel in every interaction. There’s a warmth to the experience that makes guests feel welcomed and cared for. “The Bond is absolutely wonderful. It is the perfect mix of industrial and elegant and provides everything you could possibly need for your wedding day. The bridal suite was recently upgraded and is located right inside The Bond. The groomsmen get ready in the speakeasy, which is a little inconvenient since it is about 0.4 miles away, but my husband said it was a cool space and he enjoyed the space and time! It is also a huge perk that there are two separate dedicated spaces for the bridal party and groomsmen, so there is no chance of crossing paths before the ceremony if you choose that. The Bond offers multiple beautiful spaces to get married. We chose to have our ceremony in the pavilion, followed by cocktail hour both inside and outside. One of my favorite details is that they close off the reception space until it is time for guests to enter, making the room reveal such a special surprise. The Bond includes a wedding coordinator, and we had the pleasure of working with Jackie Duval, who was absolutely amazing! We truly cannot say enough good things about her. The staff on our wedding day was incredible. They all come from JDK Events, which is the required catering company for The Bond, and this was not a negative at all because they were absolutely fabulous. They went above and beyond to make sure we, our families, and our guests were taken care of throughout the entire day. Another huge perk is that although The Bond is a city venue, there is convenient parking directly across the street, and guests can even leave their cars overnight if needed. It made things so easy and stress-free. We cannot recommend The Bond enough. It was everything we dreamed of and more. 10/10 wedding venue!”

“The Imperial Event Center at the Holiday Inn was the perfect way to end our wedding night. Having a ballroom available from 10:30 pm to 1:30 am gave everyone a place to keep the celebration going after the reception. Guests were still buzzing with energy, and the space allowed everyone to relax, laugh, play games, and reconnect late into the night. It also gave us the chance to spend meaningful time with guests we hadn’t been able to chat with earlier, which meant a lot to us. The pizza and drinks were a hit, and the room was the perfect size for our group. It felt comfortable, casual, and easy, exactly what a late-night after party should feel like, especially when it’s right in the same hotel where everyone is staying. Beyond the after party itself, we truly appreciated the entire hotel experience. From smooth check-ins to breakfast and overall accommodations, our guests felt welcome and well taken care of throughout the weekend. Having everything in one place made the weekend seamless and stress-free. We’re very grateful to the Imperial Event Center and Holiday Inn team for helping make our wedding weekend so special.”

“We got married at Chesapeake a couple of weeks ago and truly had the most incredible wedding day! We had our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, followed by a reception in the ballroom with about 160 guests, and every part of the day was perfect. The venue is so versatile, offering beautiful options rain or shine (which gave us such peace of mind). The Manor House was the perfect backdrop for photos, and the bridal suite was beautiful for all our getting-ready moments. There are so many gorgeous photo spots across the property—and a huge bonus: our guests had an absolute blast golfing on the course before the wedding! The staff was incredibly helpful in bringing our vision to life and made the planning process feel smooth and easy. We’d recommend Chesapeake to anyone—it was everything we hoped for and more! Thank you, Chesapeake Bay Golf Club!!”

“We are so grateful to the entire team at Melhorn Manor for making our wedding day happen!! It's hard to even know where to begin - from start to finish, every detail of the day was magical thanks to the team's hard work and expertise. When my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we toured plenty of venues, but we knew right away that Melhorn Manor was different in the best way. We were used to being rushed through other venue tours, dismissed because our wedding wasn't big enough, and generally being made to feel more like dollar signs than excited newlyweds-to-be. But our experience at Melhorn Manor couldn't have been further from this - we met Allory for the tour, and before we took a step through the property, he took the time to introduce himself and the Melhorn family and to share the lovely story of how Melhorn Manor came about. We didn't feel rushed or pressured like we had at other venues, and Allory really took the time to understand our vision for our big day and help us imagine it around the property. We left that day glowing and feeling sure that "this is the one!" And how right we were!! We really can't say enough positive things about our wedding day. Getting ready in the amazing bridal suite and Groom's room was such a fun and special way to kick off the day. As the ceremony approached, it was so clear that the team was all working so hard to make sure all the decor was set up, every detail was thought through, and every moment went off without a hitch. What a special and humbling feeling it is to have so many people invested in making your special day as magical and memorable as you've always hoped it would be - it's impossible to express the depth of our gratitude. Our wedding day was quite a rainy one, but the Melhorn team had a plan for everything. Melhorn Manor had the most robust rain plan of any venue we toured: some venues' plans had felt more like an afterthought, while Melhorn offers an entirely separate building that can be used for the ceremony in inclement weather. It was such a huge relief to feel like we didn't have to worry about adjusting every detail on the fly, and to go into our rainy wedding day knowing that, regardless of the weather, it would be just as beautiful and special as we always imagined. We had and continue to have SO many of our guests, both on the wedding night and afterwards, tell us that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. So many glowing comments about the beautiful venue, the fun had on the dance floor, the amazing and kind staff, and all of the countless details that go into making the day memorable. We couldn't agree more that Melhorn Manor was the perfect backdrop for our special day, and we have the incredible team to thank for all the hard work, attention to detail, and love that went into making this the wedding of our dreams. We, and our families and loved ones, will truly cherish the memory of this day for a lifetime. We are so grateful to have had the absolute joy of working with Allory, Jess, and the entire Melhorn Manor team. They were enthusiastic, thoughtful, kind, and so organized at every step of the way. We can't imagine what our special day would have looked like anywhere other than Melhorn Manor - what an amazing place that will hold a special place in our hearts forever. We simply can't thank the entire staff enough!!”
