    Spectacular Venue!

The Liriodendron Mansion was the second venue we toured back in 2024, and we instantly fell in love with it. Tucked away in a quiet Bel Air neighborhood, the mansion was once home to Dr. Howard Kelly — one of the founders of Johns Hopkins and the inventor of the Kelly clamp — before being sold to the county. The exterior is breathtaking, with two elegant porticos framing each side of the house. Behind the mansion, you’ll find a spacious patio that can comfortably seat 60–70 guests for dinner, surrounded by lush greenery and soft string lights overhead. The staff were wonderful throughout the entire process — from our initial walk-throughs to day-of coordination — and made everything feel seamless. If you’re looking for a venue with timeless charm, romantic ambiance, and a covered outdoor space perfect for dancing and cocktails, this is it. I highly recommend visiting — you’ll fall in love just like we did.

    Wedding 6/7/25

From the moment we reached out to inquire about hosting our wedding at The Liriodendron Mansion, the staff was incredibly responsive and helpful. They answered all of our questions in detail and provided invaluable guidance on the floor plan and layout of the space. On our wedding day, the venue was absolutely stunning - the historic mansion and grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our special celebration. The quality of their work and the overall value was exceptional. We are so grateful to the team at The Liriodendron Mansion for making our wedding day absolutely perfect.

    Fairytale Wedding Venue

The Liriodendron Mansion was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From our first inquiry, the team was clear, effective, and incredibly helpful in guiding us through the planning process. The historic mansion provided a beautiful, spacious setting that was perfect for our celebration. They worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, and Chris in particular was a dream to work with from start to finish, helping us select the right package and caterer for our special day. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we're so grateful to the entire Liriodendron Mansion team for making our wedding day truly unforgettable.

    Liriodendron Venue

We booked this venue due to how beautiful, classical, and elegant it looked. The price was also very fair and reasonable, however you really have to be aware of what you are getting when you book. The space is wonderful but you are truly just getting use of the space without any additional service. The employees of the Liriodendron were difficult to get in touch with following our booking. There was some staff turnover between booking and the day of our event that wasn't properly communicated. Additionally, they do not provide some of the day of services that were mentioned during our tour. The employee they had there on the day of our ceremony and reception basically was there to unlock the doors and to let us know when our time was up in the evening. If you are going to book with this venue, I would anticipate hiring a planner, or at the very least, a day of coordinator. Despite this, the venue is truly stunning and it photographed better than we could have imagined!
