“Eric was awesome to work with from the start. He’s a true professional at his work and is extremely personable. He really understood the vision for our wedding and fulfilled it ten times over. We used Eric for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and for all three he exceeded our expectations. The music was phenomenal and the lighting looks amazing in pictures. He helped us host a great party, was receptive to all of our song requests and preferences, and checked in with us as needed before and throughout the wedding. He kept the energy up all night and knew exactly what to play when. He was also a great emcee, super likable and not the least bit cheesy or abrasive during any announcements during the reception. “My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Having a band play our Northern Virginia wedding was very important to us. We found Bachelor Boys on Instagram and relished their vibe from the get-go. They felt more personal than the conglomerates with dozens of band. We watched them perform at a showcase in the Baltimore area and loved how they structured their evening with different pairings of band members and instruments - it helped us make an informed decision about the number of instruments we wanted to include. We were wow-ed by Amber at the showcase, and were thrilled to have her emcee our wedding! Communication with the band was very straightforward. We only had a handful of requests, but otherwise, let them play the sets as they saw fit. Truthfully, I can’t remember them taking many breaks because it felt like they played the whole night! Our guests continue to say how excellent the band was! For the ceremony, the band provided a speaker and a representative to press “play” on our music. We also had a trio perform beautifully at cocktail hour. One fun note: we opted for parent dances, and the band had no issues with my Bruce Springsteen deep cut. The singer even channeled his “Boss” to really sound like Bruce! Our dance floor was full from the start, and we loved the sets they played. We had a blast dancing at our wedding - Highly recommend Bachelor Boys!”

“DJ Ed was so accommodating in bringing our medieval fantasy cocktail hour to life. It perfectly set the mood I was looking for, and I was so happy that he was able to play our nontraditional music selections; thankfully he was able to use a Spotify playlist I had made just for cocktail hour. I received so many compliments on the music from my guests, and he kept them dancing for hours! But the one thing Ed did that I was most impressed with and touched by, was him picking the perfect next song when my husband was dancing with his daughter. Our photographer was able to get some beautiful photos of the moment, and we will be treasuring them for years. Without Ed's instincts and quick thinking, we wouldn't have those photos. “I found MixMasters Entertainment through my wedding venue, and I am so grateful that I did! From the beginning they were very professional, and their planning portal was very easy to navigate to share our wedding/timeline information along with conveying our music tastes. Additionally, Chris is very quick to respond to questions and provide thorough answers, which made planning that much easier! Closer to the wedding we had a call with DJ Nick, and he was both professional and personable-- we had a great conversation with him and clicked instantly! We went over all of the little details in our call that way the wedding day went smoothly. It was also a great opportunity to talk about music choices and vibes for dancing, which were executed perfectly at the reception! And due to specific circumstances, he was able to offer us a great deal on uplighting and I'm so happy we went for it! It really transformed the venue for dancing and brought so much energy. On the wedding day DJ Nick knew exactly what to do without having to ask us questions and made sure everything ran smoothly on his end from set up to wedding party introductions to toasts to dancing and clean up. I also want to note that him and his wife Erin were very sweet to let my nephew (who's 5) "help" them with sound checks which I know he had a blast with. They/my sister had the idea of my nephew introducing my husband and I for the reception, and I thought it was such a sweet idea! And DJ Nick checked with me personally to make sure I wanted this change rather than relying on secondhand confirmation, which I really appreciated! And the dancing! We really did dance the night away in the best way possible. The song choices were great as well as the transitions, and again the uplighting really did bring an extra energy to the space which was fantastic. DJ Nick was able to read the crowd in order to change up song vibes and keep the energy up the whole night. I felt like I couldn't step away from the dance floor! And towards the end of the night when it was all the 20 somethings left on the dance floor the microphone came out and it was so much fun!! Again, everything that happened really fit the vibe and I could tell everyone was having so much fun. Nick also went above and beyond for us: a few days after our wedding he sent us a Spotify playlist of all the songs played at our wedding and a Google Photos album of all the pictures/videos he took at the wedding! It was a really kind and thoughtful thing to do. In summary: Chris and Nick are very professional in their work, are fantastic at their jobs, can pick up a vibe and immediately run with it, and in general are just very kind people. I will be recommending MixMasters any chance I get!”

I give Aran a lot (like all) of the credit for our wedding day being perfect, he 100% kept the day flowing seamlessly as it should - which I can promise, I had absolutely nothing to do with. “We knew Marcus was the perfect choice for our wedding DJ right away, but we were blown away by how great he was! To say he was fantastic is a gross understatement for how truly spectacular he was from the ceremony to the reception. Our entire reception was on the dance floor for HOURS because he kept playing hit after hit after hit. One of my friends told me she had never seen such a wide span of generations on the dance floor at a wedding before, and she was 100% right. He was such a fantastic DJ it was hard to leave the dance floor, which is exactly what we wanted our reception to be. Marcus was also a complete professional. At one point, my husband and I realized we had fallen slightly behind schedule while trying to say hello to all our guests, which made me extremely stressed, but Marcus was immediately on top of it with suggestions for how to make sure we got back on track. We cannot recommend Event Solutions or Marcus enough. If you're looking to party, Marcus is the perfect DJ for the job.”
