    From our first conversation with the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, we knew we'd made the right choice. The team was organized and responsive at every step, answering our questions quickly and helping us plan without stress. On our wedding day, they made everything flow smoothly and stayed attentive to all the details we cared about. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with gorgeous views and so many beautiful options for how to set up our ceremony and reception. Their staff went out of their way to take care of us and our guests, making sure we could just relax and enjoy the moment. We couldn't recommend them more highly.

    Amazing Location, but...

    I rarely write reviews, but I felt it was important to share our experience so future couples can make an informed decision. First, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful. The views are breathtaking, the grounds are stunning, and the overall setting created an incredible backdrop for our wedding day. The hotel was amazing, extremely clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Our guests loved staying on-site and had nothing but positive things to say about the accommodations. The food was also a huge hit. We received countless compliments from our guests, many of whom are still talking about how great the food was. The banquet staff was wonderful, especially Sandy, who was incredibly helpful, attentive, and professional throughout the event. Where we struggled was with the planning and coordination experience. The pre-wedding process felt much less involved than we expected. Communication was often slow, with some questions taking multiple follow-ups and weeks to receive answers. There did not seem to be a structured planning timeline, and aside from one call several months before the wedding, we had very little direct planning interaction. We were also told that a final planning call was unnecessary, which left us feeling underprepared. We were also disappointed with the initial tasting experience. It felt more focused on upgrades and add-ons than helping us evaluate the menu options included in our package. To the venue's credit, after we voiced our concerns, they accommodated us with a second private tasting that included our requested entrée selections. Our biggest concern was the coordination support on the wedding day. Throughout the planning process, we were told that we would not need an outside coordinator because our venue coordinator would guide us every step of the way. Unfortunately, that did not match our experience. We saw our coordinator briefly before the ceremony, immediately afterward, and then not again until the end of the night. We were not informed ahead of time that another team member would be handling much of the reception coordination. It almost seemed like our coordinator was coordinating two weddings at the same time, which we were not informed of beforehand. While Sandy did an excellent job and worked hard to support us, I often felt as though I was coordinating aspects of my own wedding instead of simply enjoying the day as the bride. Had we known what level of support would be provided, we likely would have hired an independent day-of coordinator. Overall, we had a beautiful wedding and created wonderful memories here. The venue, views, accommodations, food, and many staff members exceeded our expectations. However, the planning and coordination experience did not align with the expectations that were set. My advice to future couples would be to ask detailed questions about communication, planning timelines, and exactly who will be responsible for coordinating your wedding day. Despite our frustrations, we are grateful for the beautiful setting and the many people who helped make our wedding special.

    From our time seeing the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, we knew we had found our venue. The whole team was kind and responsive throughout the planning process, making every decision feel easy and supported. On our wedding day, Samantha and the staff kept everything running smoothly while staying warm and genuine with us and our guests. The space itself is stunning! The views and layout were exactly what we had dreamed of for our celebration. Chesapeake Bay Beach Club truly made our day feel special and effortless. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

    Unbelievable

    The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club was an absolute dream venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the team was incredibly responsive and dedicated to providing us with the correct information to make the best decisions for our special day, and we had tons. Their Commodore package allowed us access to the entirety of the stunning Sunset Ballroom, which was elegant at its foundation, spacious for our guests, well-maintained, and boasted gorgeous views of the Chesapeake Bay. The levels of care and attention to detail they showed us from the moment we signed our contract to the day-of were truly impeccable - they went above and beyond to make us feel like the most special couple in the world. It’s truly a testament to how well they execute everything when you know they are doing this for several couples a weekend. We cannot recommend the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club highly enough for any couple planning their wedding.

    CBBC gave us the wedding of our dreams!

    We got married at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club on May 17, 2025, and had the most stellar experience we could have hoped for. From the very beginning, we were blown away. We attended one of their Saturday open houses for our initial tour and were immediately impressed - not just by the stunning waterfront venue and all the flexible, thoughtfully designed event spaces, but also by how knowledgeable, professional, and confident the entire team was. We left that tour knowing we’d be in the best hands and we were absolutely right. Every step of the planning process was seamless - from the delicious food and drink tasting, to room blocks at their on-site inn, to spa services, to vendor coordination and final timeline planning. Everything was organized, stress-free, and incredibly well executed. Samantha, our coordinator, was truly a rockstar. She answered every one of my many (many!) questions with patience and clarity, and always helped ease any nerves I had in the weeks leading up to our wedding day. Her responsiveness and calm presence made all the difference. The wedding day went absolutely flawlessly. Everything ran like clockwork. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing—every vendor knew where to go and when to be there, and all the details we’d planned came together perfectly. I truly got to just show up and have the best day of my life. The team at CBBC knows what they’re doing, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you're looking for a venue that combines stunning views with expert-level coordination and service, look no further.

Our wedding coordinators will be happy to make suggestions for reaching your food and beverage minimum. We strongly encourage 6-9 hours d'oeuvres per guest, dinner, late night snacks and/or additional desserts. A bar package is required throughout the duration of your event. This ensures your guests have an ample sampling of food items while upholding the high culinary standards of the CBBC.
Outside food and beverage is not permitted. All catering to include food and beverage must be purchased through the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club with the exception of wedding cake.
A group wedding tasting takes place once a year, typically December - March. Held in a group-style format to allow optimum menu selection sampling and an opportunity to interact with event staff. Two complimentary seats and two additional seats may be purchased.
Detail planning meetings are scheduled at least 3 months prior to the event. Planning meetings must be scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
A vegan/vegetarian meal option and children's meal is always offered as an additional menu item at no additional charge. CBBC will make an effort to accommodate guest's dietary requests.
Additional linen options are available at an additional cost. Décor companies must be selected from our preferred vendor list.
A list of curated wedding vendors that we highly recommend is provided. You may select any vendor of your choosing with exception to planning, design, décor and lighting, which must be selected from the CBBC vendor list. Decorations must be approved and vendors must have proof of liability insurance.
Each venue offers an exclusive ceremony space. In cases of inclement weather, your ceremony will be moved indoors. This decision will not be made until the early afternoon of your wedding.
Significant changes to the room set-up or removal or storage of CBBC furniture, after the final Banquet Event Order has been signed, may incur additional fees starting at $500. Additionally, décor set up outside of what is expected will be subject to a $500 fee.
Initial Deposit | Ceremony & Venue Fee is due at contract signing; Second Deposit | 60% of the estimated balance as listed on the contract is due five months prior to the wedding date; Final Payment | Ten days prior to the wedding date, all details will be finalized; a revised and signed contract.
CBBC accepts check, cash and credit cards (3.5% service charge for credit cards).
In the event of cancellation, all deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellation fees apply according to the contract.
