The Anchorage, with origins back to 1800, is a venue set on 12 private acres with waterfront views situated on the beautiful Choptank River. We offer a relaxed, peaceful and romantic experience on the shores of the river, which is part of the Chesapeake Bay waterway. The venue includes an open air, covered pavilion with spectacular waterfront views for up to 100 people.

Facing the picturesque Choptank River, our outdoor pavilion features an open-raftered ceiling set amidst a vast lawn, creating an elegant setting that harmonizes with nature. The venue also offers exclusive use for two nights and includes onsite accommodations with three bedrooms and three bathrooms for a full weekend experience. Additionally, a rustic Groomsmen retreat and an exquisite Bridal party suite serve as tranquil spaces for preparation and celebration prior to the wedding.

Best Wedding Weekend ever!
We got married at the Anchorage 1800 on November 1, 2025, and it was truly the most unforgettable weekend. We planned our wedding from California and even booked the venue sight unseen, a leap of faith that turned out better than we ever could have imagined. Anchorage 1800 is gorgeous and run by the most wonderful owners!

The Anchorage was perfect!
The Anchorage was amazing! My wife and I got married here last June, and to say everything was perfect would be an understatement. It's hard to put into words explaining how great Woody and Michelle were helping us make our special day go exactly as planned. The property is beautiful, spacious, and well kept. The waterfront view was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony (Woody even went out of his way to make an aisle of sand for us to walk down). The cigar shack was awesome and the barn was also set up for me and my groomsmen to get ready and hang out until the big moment (they especially enjoyed the darts, ring and hook, and bar with a kegerator). My family and I were very happy with the rooms which were spotless, comfortable, and included refrigerators/kitchenettes. My wife was very happy with her space to get ready, especially with Michelle doing everything she could ensuring the girls had what they needed and making sure everyone was stress free! Woody and Michelle were more than accommodating. Breakfast was always delicious (the smoothies and Woodys Waffles were my favorites). They were also life savers dealing with our vendors dropping stuff off (at times earlier than expected), even using their golf cart to help move stuff down to the beach to help set up. The golf cart also came in handy taxing people up and down the hill when needed! I HIGHLY recommend this venue! Woody and Michelle are two of the most kind, accommodating (and hilarious) people I've ever met, and I can't begin to thank them enough for everything they did to make sure our special day went off without a hitch. We fully intend on coming back to enjoy their beautiful BnB again!

Amazing venue, amazing hosts!
We had our wedding in July 2023 at the Anchorage B&B. We couldn’t recommend it enough. Woody and Michelle were so welcoming and accommodating. From the beginning planning stages until we left, they were attentive, helpful and just overall amazing. They made sure our wedding was flawless and we could not be more thankful for them! The breakfast each day was incredible (especially the blueberry pancakes). Each room was extremely clean and set up so nicely for our guests. Our room specifically had beautiful fresh cut flowers upon arrival which was a very nice touch! The space was BEAUTIFUL - picture perfect. They now have a pavilion that has been build specifically for weddings - it was not finished yet during our stay, so i can only imagine how much it has enhanced the experience of other weddings they've had there! There was so much to do during our stay. We will absolutely be back! We can't thank Woody and Michelle enough for their amazing amazing amazing hospitality. They made our wedding weekend absolutely perfect. 10/5 stars!!!!
