Let me start by saying that the Secret Garden and the Epic Coordination team made all of my wedding dreams come true! I recently got married at the Secret Garden on April 28th, 2024. It truly was the most magical day of my life not just because I was marrying my soulmate, but because of the amazing coordination team that made our vision come to life. It was the first venue that my husband and I looked at, and we immediately fell in love with it. We loved that it was a beautiful indoor and outdoor garden venue, but we also loved how they offered an all-inclusive wedding package. They have a list of recommended vendors, including DJ, caterer, florist, photography/videography, and so much more. They give you the option to choose a vendor that they don't have on their recommended list, but we did everything through them and I wouldn't have had it any other way. They really offer the best-of-the-best professionals that know exactly what they're doing. A special shoutout to our coordinator, Laura, for being so organized and making sure everything was perfect on our big day! When it came to the day of the wedding, the entire timeline flowed seamlessly. None of the guests were left waiting around or wondering what was going on because the coordination team was so on top of everything! Everyone at our wedding, including myself and my husband, had an amazing time. Another thing to mention was that the communication with the Secret Garden and their team was beyond excellent! Any question I had, they answered promptly and made sure that the planning process was seamless. I had an enjoyable experience planning our wedding thanks to the support from the Secret Garden and Epic team! To conclude, my wedding day at the Secret Garden was literally the happiest day of our lives! It couldn't have been more perfect. If you're envisioning a fairytale garden wedding like I was, choose this venue!

If you're a couple in the market for an intimate, beautiful, well run, wedding venue look no further than booking Forgotten Barrel. Being a mini rustic oasis tucked in a quiet residential track, off the beaten path, this venue (and its wine selection) will surprise you in the best way! We just had our wedding 4/24/26 and from beginning to end we had the best experience. We had explored the details of around 50 venues for our 80 guest wedding and FB offered the absolute best atmosphere and overall inclusive package to follow our budget. Being you do have the option to a la carte the venue, I highly reccomend their inclusive package. Including catering options from Chef Joanne, Donut Hello dessert cart, month of coordination, a variety of optional decor to utilize, DJ Frank, bridal and groom suites and of course an unlimited wine/beer/seltzer/non alcoholic bev bar. The venue coordinator Alyssa, event coordinator Libby, DJ Frank, Paolo from donut hello, and the rest of the FB staff were just 5 stars in making our day a success. Our guests even 2 weeks later have not stopped raving of having the best time. They loved the food, the music, and the overall vibe of the venue. Some said the best wedding they've been to. So again, if youre looking to host your wedding or any event 100 guests or under please consider Forgotten Barrel. You will be happy you did!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Natural elegance with open spaces

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
Where to begin on such a lovely team, a venue that offers so much, and a wedding team that provides all that you need! First off, we LOVED how these funds went to the Zoo and Safari Park go to their 501C. Knowing every dollar supported the animals and the conservation work happening right there made the whole day feel meaningful in a way most venues just can't offer. Plus, my specialty vet husband and others in the animal field hold this zoo in the highest regard for animal care and conservation efforts. We had to change our destination wedding venue with six months or so to plan this wedding in the States. Emily, Magdalena, and the events staff were responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect from the very first email to the final send-off. They thought of everything, so we didn't have to. Also, they were kind and calming to work with while planning this from out of San Diego, since we no longer lived there. I can't thank them enough. And the setting is truly unbeatable. We had our ceremony on Harusi Lawn and our reception at the Sambutan Longhouse out by Tiger Trail, and being surrounded by the park made the entire day feel like a once-in-a-lifetime experience — not just for us, but for every single guest. Rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs, and other animals walked behind our ceremony site! People are STILL talking about it. Especially since they got a full-day Safari pass to visit the park beforehand and make it a whole trip. The absolute highlight after being married in front of cheetahs? Our wildlife encounter. Having an animal join us on our wedding day is something none of us will ever forget, and it's the kind of magic you simply cannot get anywhere else. The venue actually has a shuttle for guests for the cheetah lawn and to the reception hall with the tigers, and takes ADA very seriously. The food was a hit (the Savanna Buffet was SO GOOD), and the cocktail hour upgrade was worth every penny. But honestly, what made it all come together was the team. If you're even considering the Safari Park for your wedding — do it. You will not find anywhere like it, and your guests will have a remarkable full day! (Most of the photos posted below are by our fabulous photographer and team, Katrina Marie @katrinamariephoto - SD local and friend from my days at MiraCosta, you know you now can trust me above haha)
