Throughout time the house was purchased to the Kean family where they resided until the last resident passed away in 1995. Our 23 acres grounds are full of beautiful gardens. If you’re looking for a stress free wedding, look no further. I can rave about our wedding forever, our event planner Alessandra Moss helped us every step of the way. Our guests enjoyed the heavenly cocktail hour and were impressed with the professionalism of the staff. Day of coordinator Jennifer was attentive and took care of all my bridal needs. We highly recommend booking Nicotras Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn for your wedding venue, we had a lot of guests traveling and it was easy for our guests to stay in the hotel. We shared our first look on the beautiful property, there are endless options for photo ops. We were able to take many photos and video inside and outside the venue. The ceremony took place outside on the Gazebo, it was absolutely stunning, the weather was perfect. Alessandra met with us regularly in person and was easily accessible via email. She walked us through the wedding planning and guided us on the next steps of the process. It was a great relief that the venue took care of a lot of the details, and we used one of their vendors Red Carpet Events for decor/flowers and they were fantastic.

We knew we wanted to host our wedding in Jersey City so our guests could enjoy the skyline and the water views. After viewing multiple venues, we landed on Maritime Parc for 7/20/24 and it was the best decision we made. Our wedding planning ran smoothly because we worked with Maritime’s team. Working with Priscila, the sales manager, was like working with family. She was available whenever I needed her which made getting answers to questions quick and easy. She went above and beyond her role. This venue offers a classy food tasting and cake tasting at their restaurant. Even though they host weddings every weekend, they made us feel that ours was very special and important. We appreciated working with Alexis on our timelines and floor-plan. She was very organized and thought of all the little things that we never would have!! Our day of Captains and Bridal Attendant, Marc, Rita and Patricia were the best!! Always there when we needed them and so so kind. My family members raved about their helpfulness. The entire staff at Maritime (servers, bartenders, valet, etc) were professional and attentive. It is rare to have such good and consistent service at a wedding. Lastly… the FOOD. What other wedding venue serves Scallops over braised short ribs?? None! Choose Maritime for a stress free wedding year!

Don’t overlook the Short Hills Hilton for your wedding! It was the perfect location for our big day, offering a central gathering spot where our guests didn’t have to worry about traveling throughout the day. We explored several traditional venues, but none felt as right as this one. We had a November wedding and didn’t expect to have an outdoor ceremony, but the hotel’s lovely patio space was a wonderful option, and surprisingly, the noise from the JFK Parkway wasn’t an issue. For our indoor ceremony, the venue features a permanent enclosed tent structure. At first glance, it didn’t seem like much, but with the help of the event coordinator Vivian Cohen’s help and coordination with our florist, the space was transformed into something breathtaking. The reception space was spacious and perfect for our 170 guests—large enough for everyone to feel comfortable but not so big that it felt empty. Guests still rave about the food and service! The chef and maître d' truly deserve all the praise. The hors d’oeuvres were diverse and delicious, from sliders to a pasta bar to sushi. We chose the salmon and short ribs for dinner, which we selected during a private tasting session. The hotel grounds, filled with foliage, were perfect for photos, especially as we were lucky to have beautiful fall colors for our shoot. Victoria at the Hilton was incredibly helpful with coordinating room blocks, hotel room gift bags, and storage. Vivian was a dream to work with—she was welcoming, communicative, and made everything run smoothly. Her checklist was a lifesaver for keeping track of details, and she was hands-on with day-of coordination, ensuring everyone knew where they needed to be and helping with the little touches that made everything perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to help make our wedding day unforgettable!

Our bar offers locally made craft beer, wine, and NA beverages. As we have a New York State Liquor license, we are happy to accommodate cocktails by request and work out a beverage plan that works best for our patrons. Our taproom features 2,500 square feet of usable event space, perfect for a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, welcome cocktail hour, bridal shower, engagement party or bachelor/bachelorette party. Our event team is happy to work with any prospects to help plan an unforgettable party experience. We currently do not provide food service on site, but would happily aid any patron with finding high quality catering in the area.

We held our wedding reception at Five Boroughs Brewery in October 2023, and we couldn't have been happier! We opted for a combination of seated and standing for our 65 guests, designating the long banquet tables for our families to gather, and the high-top tables for our friends to mix and mingle. There was space in the center of the room for speeches, a musical performance, and reciting our vows before inviting everyone onto the dance floor. Our guests loved the Five Boroughs beers on tap, and they also offered wines and cider, as well as seltzer for non-drinkers. We had catered appetizer platters set up along the wall, and a food truck parked outside. There's also a ramp entrance, which was very helpful for my 93-year-old grandmother. The ambiance in the taproom was warm, intimate, and beautiful even with us opting for very minimal additional decor. The staff was kind, communicative, and helpful every step of the way--the care they took to ensure our wedding went perfectly was really evident. Our Five Boroughs wedding was joyful, intimate, and personal.

All the staff were very professional, friendly and supportive. We were really nervous about our wedding night but everything went super smooth. Our family and friends gave us a lot compliments! Shell’s Loft Red Hook was truly the best spot for our wedding. Steve, was incredible. He was responsive, creative, flexible, and so thoughtful. The space itself was incredible. It’s so beautiful and there’s so much you can do if you want to, and at the same time, if you want a simple canvas, it’s beautiful enough as well to leave it as is. The bar service was amazing! We had our rehearsal dinner at Popina for a group of 30ish people and had an amazing time! Our experience working with Popina was fantastic from start to finish. They worked with us and were easy to communicate with. Most importantly, the menu options were incredible and the food was delicious! All of our guests were blown away by the food we were served and could not stop raving about it. We used the outdoor garden space which was beautiful! Most importantly, when a sudden summer storm him, we were able to be protected by the retractable roof and our event carried on without any issues. We are so thankful to the team at Popina for helping make our wedding weekend a wonderfully special one!

Our experience with CBH was nothing short of perfect! We had a small 54-person cocktail hour and reception, both in the Othmer Library, and we could not have dreamed of a more perfect space. The overall atmosphere of the library was incredible, and we leaned hard into the old-world feel of the space. Our guests were in awe when they walked in, and the fact that we were able to be involved every step of the way made it so special. CBH works exclusively with Purslane as their caterer, and all communication was done through Purslane, who are also amazing and make fabulous food. (We had many raving guests.) They also help arrange all the rentals, create the run of show, and ensure the night is running along as planned, which it did! A few things we weren't expecting: - The library itself is on the smaller side, so if you want to have dinner and dancing there, you're looking at 60 people tops. This worked out fine for us with plenty of room for a dance floor, but we did have to significantly cut our guest list. - Since the building is a historical landmark, no food or drink that could stain (red sauce, red wine, coffee, etc.) was allowed. This never bothered us, and none of our guests even noticed since we had a fully stocked bar and incredibly delicious food. - We were required to hire a professional day-of coordinator. This was not part of our budget, so be prepared if it's not in yours either. We ended up working with Mostest since they were the least expensive service we could find, and they were amazing. It turned out to be so useful to have our DOC there, so we're happy this rule was imposed, as it led to a seamless night! - The library set up a new exhibit a few weeks before our wedding in the Fransioli Gallery where we were to have our cocktail hour, and we did not know what it would constitute until a few weeks out. We ended up deciding the contents of the exhibit weren't very well suited to a wedding, and CBH/Purslane were incredibly accommodating, offering to put up pipe and drape or move the cocktail hour. We chose to move it to be in the Othmer and were so happy with that decision. Overall, CBH is a 10/10! Our wedding felt like a dream, and anything we had to sacrifice was far outweighed by the stunning space. We would highly recommend CBH as a venue if you're looking for a more intimate night with immaculate vibes!

We loved hosting our reception at Talea Cobble Hill! The venue was incredibly easy to work with - from getting an initial proposal, to updating the proposal a few times as we changed our minds about dates and times, to picking the food and drinks. The drinks tasted exactly as good (maybe better) than when we've gone for drinks on a typical weekend. The space provides a nice mix of seating and standing areas. We were able to use our own music playlist and present a few speeches followed by cake cutting - all very smooth. I'd strongly recommend this venue for a low-stress wedding event!

I hosted my wedding at The Lofts at Prince Street and I had the most gorgeous time! I rented the rooftop for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and the penthouse top floor for our reception. From the start, Claudia was absolutely amazing to work with. She is confident, thoughtful, and kind. Throughout planning our wedding, Claudia was an excellent help. She was responsive, answering my questions thoughtfully and always very quickly. On our wedding day, I found her presence very calming and reassuring. The Lofts get many guests per week, but I felt like Claudia took the time to get to know me and my husband, and really made us feel special. Our wedding was about 25 people, and the space fit us perfectly. The rooftop gives you the money shot. Even our hardest to please guests complimented our venue multiple times. You get gorgeous, 360 views of the Manhattan skyline, but you are high above street level so excessive noise was not a problem. I talked through my vision with Claudia on our walkthrough, and her team took care of so much before I even arrived. The penthouse room is a blank canvas that you can decorate any way you wish. The exposed brick and clean walls are a really cool starting point, but I was absolutely blown away by how the room transformed into a better vision than I could have even imagined. There is a private suite in the back that we used to get ready in. It was very fun to take photos there and I felt safe tucked away before my guests arrived. The space is also very clean! Having a suite in the back allowed me to arrive early to the venue and get centered before the ceremony began. If you are not familiar with NYC, the Lofts are in a really fun location! You are central to many hotels and subway lines, so it’s easy to access. The venue is surrounded by cafes, green spaces, and restaurants. And you are a short walk from many bars if you want an after party. Even if your wedding is larger, I would highly recommend the Lofts for a shower or even an event. I am so thankful we opted for the Lofts at Prince Street, it was a really great choice!

As I planned our surprise engagement, I wanted to choose a location to go after that moment to celebrate with a larger group of friends and family that resonated with both of us, so our local wine spot, Temperance, was perfect. Having no idea whether they would even consider a private party I reached out through an email on the website and quickly realized how kind and accommodating the staff was. We were able to rent out the back patio and fully customize the space with our own set up and outside decorations. As a part of the space rental we were allowed an allotment of more than enough food and, more importantly, a customized collection of reds, whites, oranges and rosès. I’d recommend letting the staff pick the specific wines, they’re the experts after all (they did pick one special wine just for us and immediate family based on my specific request, but I like to pretend that was just for me). It was the perfect place to celebrate with around 25 of our closest friends and family. The one downside was they have a hard cutoff of 10pm due to some vocal neighbors but the staff was very upfront throughout the booking process that that was going to be the case, so there were no surprises. Additionally, because of how much we love the aesthetic inside near the bar and the room fronting Carmine Street, we also asked if we could start our engagement photo shoot at Temperance before they opened one night. Once again, we were met with a staff that went out of their way to help us anyway they could and even gave us a glass of wine each to take the edge off of some poses that feel extremely ridiculous in the moment, but turned out to be great pictures. We were as happy with those pictures as we were with both of those experiences at Temperance.

My husband and I had our wedding, both ceremony & reception, at the Randolph Rooftop last August. It was nothing short of fantastic! The staff worked closely with us in the weeks leading up to the event, refining our menu (we had some off menu special requests) and even made us custom menu cards and signature drink menus with our dog on them! We truly did not need to lift a finger for any of the prep, we just gave our preferences and they took it from there. Since my husband and I are pretty laid back, the beer garden tables and minimal decor was perfect for us. We were more focussed on serving delicious food and drinks (which Randolph delivered! and the bartenders were the best!!), but I can definitely see how the space can be transformed into many different styles. We highly recommend the Randolph Rooftop to couples who would like to say ‘I Do’ with classic New York views as the backdrop. Views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and lower Manhattan gave all of our photos that quintessential New York vibe. Best of all…I still have people telling me my wedding was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. I couldn’t recommend Randolph more.

My wife and I hosted our welcome party for our wedding at Someday Bar and they helped us to realize a gathering of family and friends that we didn’t think was possible. We chose Someday Bar for the value, proximity, and overall experience both before and during all interactions we had with the team. Megan and her team make Someday Bar NYC an excellent place for a semi-private, relaxed party in downtown Brooklyn / Boerum Hill. Megan helped us to select a food and open bar package, with options for vegan and gluten free guests. The food was replenished often, something we were not expecting. People still remind us of how delectable their brownies (the best ever), beignets, and bahn mi sliders were. The bar and wait staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful whenever we had a request and we will back back soon for another drink and definitely another brownie!

We had the best night of our lives at Peasant celebrating our wedding. We chose this restaurant because we always loved the food and romantic cozy atmosphere. When we had to quickly pivot our wedding plans to a smaller venue (4 weeks from our date!), they were our first call. The team at Peasant sprang into action and delivered the wedding we always dreamed of. We had our ceremony in front of the beautiful brick oven. We barely decorated the space because it's already so gorgeous. Our 70 guests sat at long tables for an incredible family style meal. The space quickly transformed into a dance floor, and a friend of ours DJ'd our favorite music. If you're looking for an intimate venue where you can relax and soak up the pure joy of your wedding day, Peasant has the vibes. Our guests still rave about the rigatoni alla vodka, the espresso martinis, and the kindness of the team months later. We keep going back for dates because we can't possibly get enough, and Peasant will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The staff at Hampton Inn were helpful through every phase of the process as we planned the event from another state, from booking rooms with special needs for children, to help picking the perfect room and room for the rehearsal dinner, to transportation help to the wedding venue. Glasshouse Chelsea was the perfect backdrop to our wedding day. Although the weather was perfect, this venue's value is its beauty in every weather and in every light of day or night. We worked with both Chelsee and Nikki and they were both professional and gracious. Their communication style was direct, prompt and transparent. Nikki even found us cocktail napkins at the last minute, helping the bar service. The venue itself, both the 21st floor and 14th floor, was stunning, upscale and practical. At first, I thought that elevator traffic might be an issue, but it was seamless throughout the night. The balcony was the perfect golden-hour-to-sunset photo background and proved to be a nice respite from the dance floor throughout the night. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue.

We got married at the Picnic House in April 2024 and had a great experience! It's a beautiful space that you can do a lot with. We really appreciated both having both the flexibility of choosing amongst a variety of vendors, as well as the assurance that given their experience with the venue that they'd be easy to work with day of (which was true- we had a very smooth wedding day!). We really appreciated working with Caity, who was very responsive over email and quick to pick up the phone. Our only struggle was in acquiring our parking passes (that was really the mail's fault) and in getting some answers early on regarding external alcohol policies. And I would say be very careful in selecting your caterer, since they'll make or break your experience. But overall I would absolutely recommend the Picnic House to anyone! The price really can't be beat for what you're getting.
