We received so many compliments from all the guests for the quality of the live band we had; and to our joy, the dance floor was always brimming with people. We happened upon the band’s website via The Knot’s suggested music provider list and absolutely loved their sample videos, songs, pictures, and testimonials. From the get go, Laraine was a pleasure to work with - always clear, on point with her answers, considerate, personable, and compassionate. We spoke at length via several phone calls and email exchanges about our history as a couple and our music preferences and then we met in person to go over all the details and narrow down the list of our favorite songs, She paid close attention to the pronunciation of names, nailed the parent dance song suggestions and the timing of the different reception activities. Then Laraine, Keith and the band did an amazing job at compiling an extremely successful playlist customized to our wedding. Katrice’s voice is stunning and so versatile, Sam was the perfect host, Keith was just so fun to chat with, and everyone in the band was just phenomenal! “Due to being able to save a decent amount of budget money on various other parts of our wedding day, my fiancé (at the time) decided that we should get some live music for our wedding if we could manage. After some careful research, I happened upon the Keith Franklin Jazz Group. After speaking to the band manager Larraine, and explaining our needs, she suggested that instead of the wedding band that they normally send to weddings, we hire the jazz band. Then she invited us to come see the band play at the Witherspoon Grill in Princeton NJ. My fiancé and I loved them and decided that their vibes were exactly what we needed for our wedding reception. Larraine was phenomenal to work with and she was gracious and patient with me despite the fact that I was losing my bridal mind and dropping balls everywhere in the chaos. She suggested that we get the regular 4 piece jazz band and that we add a horn and a second voice (a male vocalist to duet with the female vocalist) to it. She also had their sound engineer come and set up the speakers and microphones. She was absolutely correct in all her suggestions, and the band absolutely made our night. It wasn't overly loud and was in fact very relaxed and romantic, and the vibes were immaculate. People did dance to the music sometimes, but mostly everyone just sat back and enjoyed themselves in the amazing ambiance. They were perfectly suited to our venue choice, and there was absolutely nothing they could have done better. It's definitely not the norm to have a jazz band at your wedding, but trust me, it's a fantastic choice and was by far the best choice for us, and also well within budget. Thank you, Keith and company, for such a wonderful night! If I could remember everyone's names, I would call you out each by name because you were all so wonderful and absolutely made our wedding day the best it could possibly have been!”

“We hired Zach back in April to DJ for our 10th year anniversary party. We bought out a restaurant so we had the celebration split between a cocktail hour, dinner and then dancing after dinner Zach asked us for a list of songs/playlist for our songs, and we gave him 2 sets: One for cocktail hour/dinner and one for the dancing section. The vibes were amazing during the cocktail hour and dinner. My parents personally loved some of their very own favorites playing as we were all chatting and having dinner. Once the dinner service ended, music transitioned into Disco/Salsa/Merengue and it was great to see our friends jumping from their chairs and into the dance floor. We’ve heard nothing but great compliments from friends and family on the music and vibes through the night and the great pickup during the happy hour! While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”

“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”
