Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to Hildegard and the SkyView staff! We planned our wedding less than a year out, and Hildegard was very accommodating and very responsive throughout the planning process - she was truly a pleasure to work with. On wedding day, we also had Jenn and Iwan helping out to make sure the day ran smoothly. We did our ceremony off-site so we cannot speak on that, but our cocktail hour and reception were absolutely awesome! We still have guests raving about how good the food was and how beautiful the venue and grounds are. You definitely get the best value for your money in terms of northern NJ wedding venues, and we couldn't recommend SkyView enough!

We absolutely loved our wedding venue! Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the space, and everything about the venue itself was perfect for our big day. The staff was generally great, and the venue itself exceeded our expectations. However, there were a couple of things that caught us off guard. First, when we went to drop off our decorations the day before the wedding, we were surprised to find large, dramatic Christmas decorations still in the foyer—something we were never informed would be there. Thankfully, the team worked with us to remove them, and by the morning of the wedding, everything was taken care of, which we really appreciated. Second, we were disappointed to find that the venue ran out of rum for our signature drink. We had clearly communicated that rum was a major ingredient, yet they only had two bottles for the entire night, which was nowhere near enough. It seemed like they completely forgot that rum was a key part of our signature cocktail, and it was frustrating to see our guests unable to enjoy it as planned. Lastly, after the wedding, we heard some concerning stories about the way the venue manager and team interacted with our vendors, particularly our wedding planner. Apparently, voices were raised, and things got very heated, with fingers being pointed at faces. It was heartbreaking to hear this, especially because it was completely at odds with the otherwise wonderful experience we had. It felt very unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, the venue itself was stunning, and the event went off beautifully, but these issues were frustrating and disappointing, especially when considering how much we loved everything else. If you decide to book here, just make sure to keep a close eye on the details and be aware of how the team handles interactions with vendors.

We had our wedding at The One & Only Westmount Country Club in early November 2025. It was a perfect venue! The staff were amazing, and the site was impeccable. From the moment we toured the Westmount it was pretty clear it would be perfect for us. We wanted to do the wedding on-site in the garden off the Continental Ballroom. Karen worked with us to make everything perfect and coordinated every detail according to our vision for the day. Since the wedding, we have heard nothing but praise and compliments from our guests. Multiple people have told us they have never had such good food at a wedding, and the dessert extravaganza (only word to describe it) was second to none. From the welcome drinks and snacks, to the cocktail hour, to dinner service and dessert, our guests cannot stop raving about the food and service. The outdoor venue with twinkle lights in the trees, up lighting, a fountain next to the gazebo, and the picturesque garden gate was the entire aesthetic we wanted. We highly recommend The One & Only Westmount Country Club. The staff, the venue, the food, and the suggested vendors all made for a dream wedding and magical night. Don’t overlook the Short Hills Hilton for your wedding! It was the perfect location for our big day, offering a central gathering spot where our guests didn’t have to worry about traveling throughout the day. We explored several traditional venues, but none felt as right as this one. We had a November wedding and didn’t expect to have an outdoor ceremony, but the hotel’s lovely patio space was a wonderful option, and surprisingly, the noise from the JFK Parkway wasn’t an issue. For our indoor ceremony, the venue features a permanent enclosed tent structure. At first glance, it didn’t seem like much, but with the help of the event coordinator Vivian Cohen’s help and coordination with our florist, the space was transformed into something breathtaking. The reception space was spacious and perfect for our 170 guests—large enough for everyone to feel comfortable but not so big that it felt empty. Guests still rave about the food and service! The chef and maître d' truly deserve all the praise. The hors d’oeuvres were diverse and delicious, from sliders to a pasta bar to sushi. We chose the salmon and short ribs for dinner, which we selected during a private tasting session. The hotel grounds, filled with foliage, were perfect for photos, especially as we were lucky to have beautiful fall colors for our shoot. Victoria at the Hilton was incredibly helpful with coordinating room blocks, hotel room gift bags, and storage. Vivian was a dream to work with—she was welcoming, communicative, and made everything run smoothly. Her checklist was a lifesaver for keeping track of details, and she was hands-on with day-of coordination, ensuring everyone knew where they needed to be and helping with the little touches that made everything perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to help make our wedding day unforgettable!

We hosted a Wedding event at Empyrean Bistro & Bar and it was honestly one of the smoothest experiences we’ve had. The space is super versatile—we used both the indoor area and the outdoor space and it flowed perfectly for mingling, photos, and seating. The staff was organized, attentive, and made sure everything stayed on schedule without feeling rushed. The food was a big highlight—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the bar service was fast (their cocktails were a hit). They also had everything we needed for speeches and announcements, and it felt like they’ve done this many times before. Huge bonus: it’s incredibly easy for guests to get there—9th St Light Rail is right outside and there’s a parking garage with validated parking. If you’re looking for an event venue in Hoboken that feels elevated but still warm and fun, I highly recommend Empyrean.

We had our New Year’s Eve wedding in the Liberty House ballroom, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From start to finish, the experience was great. Our event stylist, Sarah, was amazing and played such a huge role in bringing our vision to life. I had a lot of ideas (some a bit outside the box!), and Liberty House worked with us to thoughtfully incorporate them into our wedding and our budget, including espresso martini shots on the dance floor, which was such a fun and memorable moment for our guests. The food was outstanding, especially cocktail hour. Guests are still talking about it. The pasta station was a crowd favorite, and we added the sushi station, which was an absolute hit as well. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The views alone are unbeatable. We had the most stunning Manhattan skyline backdrop at a much better price than venues actually in Manhattan or nearby. Another huge plus was being able to decorate the ceiling of the ballroom, which completely elevated the space. We used Liberty House’s preferred florist, JR Floral Designs, and absolutely loved working with them. Communication throughout the planning process was great. One thing to note is that Liberty House is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so depending on when you email, there may be a short wait for a response but once they’re back, they are responsive and helpful. The week of the wedding, we were able to drop off all of our décor and personal details, which made the wedding day itself so smooth and stress-free. While there isn’t a traditional getting-ready suite, there is a small room to store belongings, enjoy a private cocktail hour, and a private restroom. I personally got ready at a suite at the Hyatt House and took an Uber over, which worked out perfectly. Overall, Liberty House exceeded our expectations in every way. Between the views, the food, the flexibility, and the incredible team, we couldn’t imagine a better place to have celebrated our wedding — especially on NYE. Highly recommend!

The whole team at The Albion really made our wedding dreams come to life - they are the absolute best and so much fun to work with. Deidre and Jennifer were kind and genuinely excited about every idea I brought to them during the planning process. Deidre, the manager, is so organized and thoughtful; from our very first tour, she made the entire timeline feel seamless. And as a type A bride, I had many questions lol Our guests are still raving about the food, the venue itself, and about how much fun the day was - The Albion knows how to throw a BANGER!!! The hotel is stunning and gave us the perfect non-traditional backdrop we were looking for. It was such a perk to have everything including ceremony, reception and after party all in the same location so no one had to worry about transportation, too. Kevin, the maître d’, and the entire day-of team were so on top of every detail. They had all of our decor and personal items packed up neatly and exactly as they came in, which we appreciated so much. And most memorably, Jennifer was right there for the nerve wracking moment before we walked down the aisle — so calming, so supportive, and so clearly passionate about what she does. Overall, our day was everything we wanted: the most special ceremony followed by the most lit dance party ever. We could not imagine a better venue or better people!!

Even before stepping foot inside 87 Sussex it already checked a lot of boxes for us. It's a stylish restaurant with a quality menu, walking distance from our church, and not a wedding factory like so many of the larger venues in the area are. From the moment we starting figuring out logistics with Emily we knew we lucked out. Emily was responsive, communicative, and helpful in accommodating our requests and finding solutions to any issues that arose in the planning process. The day of the wedding was everything we hoped for and more. The weather was perfect, so our guests took full advantage of the space- indoor and out. After dinner the downstairs tables were moved to accommodate a dance floor. It was a fun, intimate party with family and friends. From the cocktail hour through the dinner, the food and drinks were elevated, delicious and bountiful. Three months later our guests are still raving about the food. It's not often that wedding guests compliment the staff as much as the dinner itself, but that was also the case at 87 Sussex. The bartenders, hosts, management, and waitstaff were in a festive mood and incredibly attentive to all of our guests. It all made for a special, once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
