I want you to actually enjoy partying with your friends and eat the awesome meal you have meticulously chosen, not spend it taking portraits for hours. With me, there are no rules. Just fun.

I am a North Carolina photographer... & yes I am willing to travel for your next session! I am a wife, mother of 2, and a proud Pitbull Mom. I have been passionate about photography since my children were young. I am finally at a place in my life where I can share my passion with others and hopefully capture their most treasured moments in time.

Classic meets contemporary and vibrant. Although I do all types of shoots, I specialize in wedding photography and all the beauty it has to offer. I prioritize in capturing the essential moments of your wedding to give you cherished memories to look back on for a lifetime.

At the heart of my process, I believe in being a calming presence who gives you room to be the most genuine version of yourself in front of my camera, gently guiding you with prompts while capturing sophisticated portraits and true moments. As a bride, you know how fleeting the moments of your wedding day will pass you by. So rather than worrying if you’re missing any of it you value being present, and will hire a photographer who will allow you to do just that. This trust grants you the ability to live in the moment while we’re documenting them for you telling the story of your relationships with a gentle authenticity.

Being a mother, wife, and believer in Jesus has made me see the beauty of tears, smiles of joy, and bonds of union between two people ready for their new journey. A wedding is a celebratory day that everybody needs to remember as if it were yesterday, and that’s the reason why I love to capture real moments and transform them into memories. I will trace a timeline with the photos of your big day, and it will be like returning to the most beautiful day of your life. Because the things you live, I living them through my eyes.

Hi! My name is Jo Mahaney. In addition to being a wedding photographer, I have become a professional boutonniere pinner, bonus bridesmaid, master timeline creator, manipulator of light, and emotional confidant. Primarily, I am there as your wedding photographer to ensure that--although your memory will fade with time--these photographs serve as vivid reminders of the joy in the season and the relationships that matter most. Photography by Jo began back in 2014 when I shot my first wedding for my roommates, while still in college. That year, I fell in love with weddings and have focused on those and other major family milestones ever since.

Hi, I’m Yelitza (Je-lit-sa ... don't worry! I got you). I’m a photographer, wife, nurse, fur-mom of three, new avid hiker, and a pretty darn good baker; and I’m here (dramatic pause) to tell your story. I found photography my freshman year of high school (I needed some credits in a pinch and this was it), three days in class and I was in love. Fast forward a few year (hey! hey! not too many years... Watch it! lol) and I'm still just as in love as that third day.

We are passionate about photographing kind-hearted people who are unapologetically themselves, and creating a safe and beautiful space in the wedding world for LGBTQ+ folx. Our favorite people to work with believe in giving back to their communities, that black lives always matter, that climate change is you know...real, and choose to embrace their own unique quirks and talents.
